Though you may say that some of the above men lived 200 years ago and are irrelevant, we today must still defend our Freedom and Liberty from a socialistic tyranny that is being enacted from within the very fibers of freedom that were woven to protect the people not so long ago!
I urge you to remember your duty to act only on the will of the people not the will of financiers. The founding fathers drafted the Declaration and Constitution in order to LIMIT, not expand, the powers of government. SIMPLE MATH dictates THESE ARE NOT ASSETS as Paulson/Bernanke would like you to believe, they are LIABILITIES. Assets are a positive in your pocket and Liabilities empty it. It does not say in our Constitution that we the people are to be indebted with liabilities created by greed driven financiers! Dust it off and read it for yourself. Market peril is due to the fiat/fake money/over regulated system THAT CONGRESS IS IN DENIAL OF, not because of any regulation oversight.

IF you go against the majority Will of the People, than I can assure you, the Depression that you fearfully and hastily wish to avoid, shall surely come IMMEASURABLE FAR WORSE than you can comprehend! I can also assure you that the American people WILL NOT STAND FOR THIS and do everything “IN OUR POWER” to HOLD YOU ACCOUNTABLE and remove this gifted duty that has been temporarily bestowed!

If you are only afraid of the unforeseen of economic turbulence than I urge you to also recognize and be more afraid of the awakened sleeping giant OF PATRIOTISM about to unleash a HEALTHY & NEEDED New Revolution for the Freedom and Liberty you choose not to support!!!

I took that to mean sarcasm, as if to say he is ALWAYS right.

The big problem with thtat interview though is that no mainstream politician or media member does understand what the root problem is in all this. they don't understand that more easy money/ credit is the very thing that, not just Average Joe AMerican is addicted to, but the entire system. It is like trying to cure alcoholism with a fifth of vodka or cigarrette chains smoking with a carton of smokes.

Wheres Huckabee, Romney, Giulianni, Clinton, Edwards, etc etc etc? Why is it that when Paul was running they chided him at every turn and now he suddenly is the hottest free resource for daily economic analysis ? These people make me sick.

I agree. There's very little hope here. This will pass, putting off the day of reckoning, but a reckoning there will be--an amazingly painful one--one the likes of which the world has never seen.

It is unfortunate but no amount of pressure from us is going to affect the passage of this loony bailout. God save America. It was easy to fight the British. They were foreigners. How do you fight your own system of government? I've tried it in the Courts and failed. I don't think there ever has been nor ever will ever be a peaceful revolution against tyranny--not that I am advocating a violent one--just making a point.

There are flaws in our Constitution that allowed this to happen. Rather than cure the defects of the Articles of Confederation, if there were any, they started a whole new compact that has never had a Constitutional Convention since it was signed. Jefferson said it should be readopted or changed every new generation--19 years.

If you read the transcript that CNN has of this interview on their main page, you'll notice that they omit the word 'austrian' before he says free markets. I just find that a little unsettling.

Now you have watched a couple video's of England's "Bird and Fortune" so all you need to do is change the name of the two men in the video's to a couple of well known Americans and then you understand the humor of the financial mess in the United States even tho it is very serious.
