Don't drink beer, perhaps you could buy me a nice root beer?
Wasn't funny at all. They are trying to paint her as an idiot. It is pathetic that you are buying into the MSM crap. Ask yourself, why don't they ask Obama the tough questions? Errr, Like, hey asshole, are you a socialist? ARE YOU A SOCIALIST? DO YOU ADMIRE CHE GUEVARA? WHAT THE HELL IS THIS CHANGE YOU SPEAK OF?
Sorry, but I support neither of these candidates, but I don't like the fact that the MSM isn't focusing on the issues and asking the tough questions to both sides.
What Newspapers do you read?
What the Hell kind of question is that? You ever heard some dumbass ask Obama such a question? Ask McCain. Ask anyone? Why the hell does that question matter?
The Newspapers are known liars, so are those magazines, so is CBS.
why this woman doesn't just revert to being honest. Instead of trying to wing it on the financial bailout the other day, she could have easily just said, "you know I have not been briefed on what is in this bill since I am not a member of Congress, but I think ......" Or this nonsense on the newspapers. My answer would have been that I read many many papers, but all online...That in the 21st century you can live anywhere and read news from all over the world. Then I would have proceeded to name a few. Instead she is under so much pressure that she assumed that Couric was implying that they didn't have newspapers in Alaska, and proceeded to go way off track. They are just driving this woman to distraction by grilling her and trying to prepare her for every possible question and it is just messing her up royally. I don't like her politics, but I sure hate to see these elitist snobs "have their way" with her. There is a perfectly good reason that someone who is not a "Washington insider" might not know everything about everything. THAT is why one can have "advisors".

"Not armies, not nations, have advanced the race; but here and there, in the course of ages, an individual has stood up and cast his shadow over the world."
Wow. Course, they should give it away for free if its a taxpayer funded library. LOL, I didn't find it funny either. After all, who reads newspapers and magazines these day? The question was insulting. What, they don't have internet service in Alaska?
She should have said she occasionally gets 20 year old copies of National Geographic...but only when the Pony Express horse isn't lame.
My subscription list consists of MacWorld, and I probably don't even need to get that, since I get most of the same info online.
This is a red herring. Katie Kouric would only have been happy if Palin had rattled off a bunch of neocon or liberal rags.
Get your own "Ron Paul for Treasury Secretary" or "Nothing Changes 1-20-09 / Vote Third Party" sticker, designed by AlaskaRon, today! http://www.cafepress.com/...
Sure she can name a paper, she can name a bunch. That's the point she was making; her office gets a stack delivered to it everyday -- and she's probably very selective about what she reads. By the same token I don't read "a" daily newspaper -- I read widely for my information -- and the best information usually doesn't come from a newspaper!
Don't worry -- I ain't voting for them -- but you're making a straw man argument -- you'd better get to some real issues for the cause rather than wasting our time with this silly attack.
Question to you legalizeliberty: Did you first learn about Dr. Paul from a daily newspaper? Where did you learn the most about Ron Paul? Name it!
I'll bet you the beer that I just won from you that it wasn't from the MSM.
When someone says "I read them all" I think they mean they read a diverse bunch of them. "What music do you listen to?" "Everything. All of it." Do people really think she couldn't name a newspaper or magazine? Katie Couric was trying to get her to say "NYT, Newsweek, Time" so she could be comforted that Palin is tapped into the propaganda machine that emanates from New York. The question was pretty condescending and Palin told her off, saying that when you live in Alaska it doesn't mean you are completely isolated.
This is Mr. Smith Goes to Washington, and the media are acting like a pack of wolves, just like in the movie. She isn't establishment hence she must be destroyed. Watch the movie if you want to see how it works.
by a nothing question. that's pretty telling. Have you seen the rest of this trainwreck? She's a mess. Beauty pagent answers all the way. The lights are on but nobody's home.
I forgot to mention
we have hemp beer here in Canada
yes made from hemp which is grown legally here
so that beer I had in mind
can't legally send it to you
but if you plan to visit Toronto let me know
My response would have been "I don't read any of them. Most newspapers are socialist propaganda. I get my news from dailypaul.com and freedomsphoenix.com". BAM 1.2 million Ron Paul votes for her!!
Oppose Palin's Cozy Relationship With Big Oil
Sponsored by: Sierra Club
Palin has been an adamant supporter of drilling in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge. To quote Palin,
"When I look every day, the big oil company's building is right out there next to me, and it's quite a reminder that we should have mutually beneficial relationships with the oil industry." (Source: Roll Call, 08/25/08)
Over and over, Governor Palin's record shows that she's in the pocket of Big Oil, and that she has demonstrated little interest in protecting iconic wildlife such as the threatened Polar Bear and wild places like the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge.
The Center for Responsive Politics finds that McCain has accepted over $1 million from the oil and gas industry. Many of McCain's top advisers have lobbied for big oil, which is why he now acts in their best interests,
McCain is desperate to distance himself from President Bush. But according to the Center for American Progress Action Fund, McCain has received millions in donations from the same oil, coal, nuclear, chemical, utility, and auto companies that helped the Bush administration create its energy plan that has raised gasoline to $4 a gallon.
She sounded defensive like she was taking the question to mean she was being asked if she reads any newspaper. Someone needs to tell her it's okay to stop and think before answering a question. Bill Clinton wouldn't be drawing a breath before the speaker finished.

Sarah Palin must be SUPER-SMART
She reads "All" newspapers and magazines. That's a lot of reading. She must really be informed. We can expect great things from her!!
Jefferson on newspapers
Did you see the quote from Bea below:
I do not take a single newspaper, nor read one a month, and I feel myself infinitely the happier for it. -Thomas Jefferson
He tuned out of newspapers the same way we tune out of TV. Maybe Palin is taking a cue from Jefferson.
Funny, guess she must be hiding how smart she is!
It's kind of hard to say when she can't even name ONE newspaper or magazine she has read!

I learned about Ron
from Alex Jones website prisonplanet when Alex put a video of Ron starting his campaign in January year and a half ago.
Point is she could not properly answer a simple question.
I don't want to see someone this confused have a finger on a red button.

she also reads or at least peruses actual newspapers, as she said "We have a stack of them delivered to the office".
