Remember, remember the 5th of November.

when liberty rekindled it's flame.
There will be no reason
in this campaign season
for patriots to act like they're tame.

I like that one

best of the 5th of November rhymes so far

...very creative...but...

I think this is a creative effort, however we are trying to distance Ron Paul from Guy Fawkes day or any other negative symbology, verbage, imagery, etc. Thanks for the effort!

Has anyone even seen the movie

All the garbage about Negative symbolizing and the likes, have you ever seen the friggin movie "V" for Vendetta, while it wasnt exactly peaceful but "V" was the good guy in the movie. The fund drive was a success, and your pitiful worries were not realized. Move on sunshine, your day will come, its just not today.

You are basically saying that the founding fathers were terrorists, because they did the same thing and didnt comply with Britain and we fought a revolution.

"All tyranny needs to gain a foothold is for people of good conscience to remain silent" -- Thomas Jefferson -

...sorry...

...that you don't see it the way that I see it. The movie V itself had nothing to do with the one day donation...other than the nursery rhyme that was popularized by the movie. Reemember, remember,....that is. I admit that the website used imagery that resembled the movies. As far as my pitiful worries go, I suggest that you read and watch the media coverage again. You can keep your sunshine because I prefer moonshine...and my day is everyday. I'm not stating what I think, believe, feel, etc., but I am reacting to what I perceive to be a threat. If you don't realize that valuable airtime was lost by Ron Paul having to defend what CNN referred to as a day when a "Terrorist" Guy Fawkes tried to blow up the houses of parliament then you're missing a very important observation. I'm not being paranoid...I'm simply exercising discipline. For the question about "official stance of the campaign", there is nothing about this site that is tied to the official campaign, as far as I know. We're on our own...and responsible for ourselves. Let's be responsible for ourselves as well as collectively responsible. In my opinion, using negative terms, imagery, etc. is just bad for the campaign/movement. It gives the enemy ammo. Period. I hope that you will give this some thought.

Is that the official position?

Is that an official campaign position?

I assumed that "Remember the 5th of November" would be a rallying cry for the next year.

The phrase invokes the "money bomb" which is all the public will associate with the day.

The media calls it "money bomb" without connotations of violence.

The media has been reporting a lot on RP lately and it has accepted the term "money bomb" and the Guy Fawkes connection with the 5th without implying that any RP supporters are violent anarchists.

Guy Fawkes is not remembered as a terrorist so much as being figuratively "the only man who ever entered Parliament with honorable intentions".

And the V guy in that film is remembered for bringing down a fascist government in a futuristic Britain.

Nobody in the press and opposition has tried or will try to seriously say that the Guy Fawkes Day connection meant that anyone had violence in mind when cheering for Ron Paul.

That is especially true because Americans mostly never knew about Guy Fawkes.

If anything, the meaning of "5th of November" has now changed.
