Zeitgeist Addendum-Greatest FED expose EVER
If you don't understand the Federal Reserve, if you don't get how the bankers destroy country's with debt then you must watch this movie. It is off the wall the best economic expose on the fraud of the Federal Reserve I have seen yet. It's riveting and cuts to the core of the problem.

A resource based economy
can be accomplished at the moment given improved energy technology or even technology that exists today but is being shelved in favor of an out dated inefficient and very lucrative energy industry. Tesla was the first to find out that efficiency and abundance are not a friend of profit. during the time Tesla was creating his lightning rods and Tesla coils he was producing energy on a scale that you couldn't charge money for, which was why JP cut off his funding.....Many other inventors at the moment have machines that can produce whats called "over unity" or basically more out than in. Just to name a few people off the top of my head: Joseph Newmans Energy machine, http://www.josephnewman.c... and Lt. Col. Tom Bearden's energy machine, http://www.cheniere.org/t...
so we see that we have a means of transition between the monetary based economy and a resource based one. you pay once for a machine and then use that machine for life while it produces energy. therefore it becomes a question of whether or not you have the resources to do things as the energy required to help you do this is in such abundance anything is possible.
well anyways what im trying to get at is that everything, from fertilizer to steel, is tied to the cost of energy. And if we could only let our most genius inventors obtain patents for their technology the old inefficient power oligopoly would be crushed in an instant.
to reiterate the most fundamental point Peter Joseph and Jacque Fresco make during the resourced base economy talk is that YOU need to be brought up to the state of technology as it exists today in order for you to understand that abundance can be had.
oh and by the way check out Joseph Newmans video where he gets Digital Meter to run Negative showing you that his machine is putting energy back into the batteries. gl hf

Bingo
We are being kept as slaves. It's that simple. Technology is being surpressed. The power elite's entire illusion is built on scarcity. No scarcity, no power elite.
Wonderful movie
This is an art project. One man's vision. Is it perfect? No. Is it interesting? Yes. The movie does not call for communism, etc. The creator is suggesting a shift in our perception. Something far more radical. Will this happen overnight? No. It's a beautiful dream that I hope comes true in future. I would rather not play monopoly.
Stop bumping this post already
You're getting to be more than annoying.
Piss off
this post was up top. Several posters made comments today. Take a hike website nazi.
are you two still pushing
are you two still pushing this garbage? The first part is informative, but this resource based economy is non-sense. We will always have scarcity, keynes and Marx pushed the same bs. People that believe this film have no real understanding of free market economics.
I haven't heard you two discuss any other topics on dailypaul. How would you enforce not having money, would you arrest those who would trade with gold or anything else? These ideas are a dead end and Utopian behind good film production.
I have posted in many other threads
you didn't look
as I watch this
and I'm through about 40 minutes...I am struck by the magnitude of what is or may be going on. And it strikes me that only an event of literally violently earthshaking magnitude is likely to be able to shake the leviathan we all serve.
And as I think of what sort of event that may be required to take this down, I have another very scary thought. If I were to type what I may be even just imagining in my despairing head, I would potentially be exposing myself to being locked up for the rest of my life on the basis of one man's opinion of my supposed intentions. Even as I type that, I feel the grip of fear. I don't think I am exaggerating that much.
That is the real America, friends. We have become Hitler's wet dream. Work within the system, with a dedication to true human welfare and truth...but also pray to your god, we really need help and a power never seen in this world.

Here's what I got from it
1) A clear, compelling and very honest evaluation of the Federal Reserve including even the genocide waged by their CIA lackeys.
2) The question is do we really want to revive this system of "money" or can we envision a world free of the money problem? I can envision two big steps that are fairly easy to getting away from money-alternative energy and grow a garden. Getting out of debt and accepting anything but fiat money would also be start.
3) An transformative action system that is comprehensive, involves no violence and is effective destroying fiat currency if it hits critical mass.
The question I'm left with is who administers a program without money, what do the artisans get in return for their craft? The answer is nobody and nothing. The only way this system works, in my estimation, is when all the resources of the earth are completely transparent to the entire nonmoney community. All the food, water, energy, shelter and anything else would be provided by other workers in the community. Now how do you punish someone who doesn't do the work they're supposed to? According to this movie it seems there is no punishment because they believe it is man's inclination to do some useful skill whether money is involved or not. For the great majority of people I'm inclined to agree because I know alot more people would rather work on their gardens, or fix their renewable energy systems, or continue to get free energy from the geothermal plant then push papers or hustle people over some doodad with no value. For the stragglers I'm sure they'd be ostracized just like the people currently ostracized for envisioning a world not under the sway of money.
If you've ever read "Political Ponerology" then you know it is a very small amount of people who have taken over control of the world because of their sociopathic tendencies and the great majority's inability to comprehend the evil they've done. A large amount of normally moral people have been infected with an evil need for more that has no basis in reality. It is critical to understand the basic psychology of the "sociopath next door" to have a society devoid of slavery.
There are some concerns that need to be addressed: Isn't this just communism without the money? Communism was setup to destroy the middle intellectual class and breed a race of workers. This system makes the machines do the work and lets the people do whatever they want. Impossible? Nope-sustainable homes have been doing this for decades (look up earthships). Won't this setup a technocratic elite? It would if the elite had anything to hoard. Because the natural resources are available to all and no money is exchanged for those resources that doesn't give any incentive to gather any monetary wealth-just pursue your interests to the best of your ability. I'm assuming no patents, no intellectual property rights-basically everything you invent is open source.
Man, that would be a change. I bet our technology would be light years ahead if there was open source for everything.
After this bailout bill its apparent to me representative government is dead. I'm ready to start transcending the monetary paradigm and start reclaiming the resources the NWO has been stealing from us for centuries. If you want your resources back the only solution is to get off fiat.
The makers of this video have looked
fairly evenhandedly at the problems of past/current systems of thought and governance. But their shining vision of peace and plenty appears a rather empty abstraction. They assume, for instance, that if all resources were held in common, all would benefit (with no ruling elite or government or divisions caused by religious or ethnic prejudice, to cause maldistribution.)
It's quite a leap to just assume eradication of all these human institutions by voluntary action, then a smooth swift acsent to the technological wonders shown with apparently no capital investments or risk by investors needed.
And the problem of the commons has been dealt with extensively by economic scholars.
I'm not saying I think this is balderdash; it's a thought -provoking challenge to institutions at the roots of our problems, and clearly the Venus Project people are sincerely motivated good people.
Time
It would take a long time for a society such as conceived by the Venus Project to come to be. Probably decades. It is quite a futuristic vision.
But if we established a true free-market system and could maintain it, perhaps in a few generations something like what they propose could become a reality.
some good, some bad
The monetary portion of the movie was good. They did their homework and presented it well, accurately pointing out the probs. I like Ron Paul's solutions better though.
My primary objection to the 2nd half of the movie is the promotion of globalism and 1 world government. That concept typically is not a big hit among the RP crowd, and implies loss of national sovereignty.
The religious stuff is just what I expect from a society gone decadent and I've learned to deal with it. I'm a christian. I have my views, and I respect the religious view of others and support freedom of religion. That's what's great about America! I still want there to be an "America" though. Under this system, America and our Constitution would be gone. Dead would be the ideas of "individual liberty" and "personal responsibility", replaced by "collectivism" and responsibility to "the common good".
I hope RP folks can take the good parts, and leave the rest, so we can get back to promoting the Constitution, restoring our Republic, sound money, and free markets, none of which this movie promotes.
Just my 2 cents. Pls dont flame me. thx.
The movie NEVER suggested one world government, NEVER
His vision was a world were GOVERNMENT did NOT exisit. PERIOD. That was so very clear. This will require us to grow up and take care of ourselves. Sounds a lot like Ron Paul.
Self-government; computer-based resource allocation
One thing about this film that's a bit weird. Or I should say, according to Jacques Fresco, is that we wouldn't have a government made-up of human beings, but instead the needs/evaluations/maintenance of the city would be determined by sophisticated computer systems.
This makes sense because the power of government should really be limited to legislation, budgets, and war. And since there would be no war and no need for laws [because society would sort itself out, hopefully], the purpose of government would be only to establish where resources need to be allocated - which could theoretically be done by computers.
There wouldn't be a need for government, in terms of how we think of it today. But that's not to be confused with anarchy - no government at all. "Government" is the one where people govern themselves, families and communities - not a central authority.
But I don't think J. Fresco should call his ideas of computer-based analysis of the needs of the city "government", because that sounds too strange.
Ron Paul wants a constitutional Republic
Not abolishment of all government. Have you read his book?
I have read the book
A constitutional republic and a stripping of executive power would be a good start to the future, unfortunately Ron Paul lost.
I think this movie transcends Ron Paul. There's been alot of paradigm shifts for people in this movement. One Ron Paul and alot of others still can't admit is the government was complicit attacking the world trade towers on 9/11. This no-money paradigm is so radical because we might not have been looking at the bigger picture. Here is the bigger picture-the NWO sells us debt to buy up our true assets (natural resources and manufacturing base), leaves us with the debt from their fiat currency and skips town with all our resources. The reality is the resources are ours to use and dispense with as we should-the NWO never bought anything, just like the bankers who foreclosed on Jerome Daly's house never put any investment into his house.
This no-money paradigm shift could be our future. It has nothing to do with a technocratic utopia-as no society is perfect and it has nothing to do with a technocratic dictatorship-as without money to hoard over people the incentive to bribe or be bribed would be lost-corruption as we know it would be gone. It would be a profound progression away from our feudalistic past.
I'd like to believe in a free market as well, and once I believed in a democracy run by representatives of the people. This past week I learned no congress will ever exist that protects people's rights.
The root of all evil is the love of money. Let's kill the root.

I just watched it...I thought it was great!
this is a very thought provoking movie, all of you should watch this...its on google video for free. I like the end when it offers some solutions to the problem.

better yet
build an earthship
it's not as hard as u think
Agree that the first part of this is great...
Maybe a bit of a slow start, but definitely a very good expose on the Fed and fractual reserve banking. I think I'll make a shortened version of this with only part 1 in it.
The rest of the video has some good point, but the people behind this again totally discredits religion and the idea of God. That does not work in my book. Not to get into a long religious discussion, but without the idea of us fullfilling a greater or Divine destiny, there's really not a purpose in life.
As has been said, "Seek Ye God first and all these things shall be added unto you". That together with the notion, "Man, know Thyself" and perhaps with the addition "and your divine plan and destiny" gives much more fulfillment than just a mechanical or materialistic perfectionment which I think will never be achieved anyway (the system was not designed to work that way).
So yes, the first part of the video is very well done and useful, but I think there's a lot lacking in the solutions offered in the rest of the movie.
Freedom Rules!
Breaking barriers
My opinion, of the religious views in Zeitgeist, is not that religion should be abolished. And though the makers appear to be biased against it, I'm sure they do not advocate directly against the particular faiths - but instead against the barriers it builds between us.
I think the opinion is that we must realize, that in a society divided by differences in opinion (regarding the true nature of God, Jesus, and who said what when where and how) is destined to war and conflict, is unnecessary, and counterproductive.
Religion is uniting among the people of a particular faith, yet also dividing between those who differ. When in reality, the history of our religions are of common heritage and the core beliefs of peace of love are all that really matter.
We must transcend the obstructions between us and unite in a cause for liberation.
They dislike the addiction to dead symbols
This very same discussion is happening in the Christian faith. Many think it's time for us to turn inward and explore that dimension of our beliefs. This is nothing new or an agenda of NWO. That's just silly.
How do we get there...
to the ressource based economy...
yea the economy expose.. was great and all orginal footage.. good work
Gradually
My view is that we must first unite in the cause, prosecute the criminals, and establish a truly free-market system.
Then, we will be free to develop our energy-rich society of abundance. This will take time.
Experiments building new cities (like Venus Project's) would be encouraged. The best of them would prove themselves and flourish.
In time, the old way would become extinct, because it could not compete with the new way.
And with time, perhaps generations, a world of abundance would slowly but eventually lead to the extinction of money and labor for resources. Money would no longer be the incentive. The real incentive would be personal development and lasting contribution.
But have no doubt, it would take a long time. This is in no way any sort of immediate solution. It is a path we must take to finally discover true peace and prosperity for all.
My guess
There have been villages in the desert like www.earthships.com for decades and they do live without any energy needs. Forming communities off the grids of energy and with a garden in every house would be the way to get to a resource based economy. Once the majority of money is gone from the system then they'll have no power.
The problem I see is how to protect the people from others hoarding resources.
Thank you!!
Krishnamurti FTW!!! I love that guy... anybody who has time should google video him and his talks about freedom and the mind.
I hope we realize that the power to bring real freedom to this world is ours!!
Nobody elses!!
I wonder why man finds it so easy to imagine god becoming man to save man but we can never seem to accept man becoming god to save himself...
I love everyone! peace and real freedom to all. The poor, the christians, the rich, the jews, the white black or blue, the muslims, the workers, the bankers, I hope we all see soon that there is no reason to divide the human race, thats how we have always been ruled!! No one even the most currupt are all evil or good! Love everyone and we will make it through these tuff times
Yay for Krishnamurty
I can't give you the answers, nor can anyone else here do the same for you and vice versa. We must realize that the true answers come from within and never through an external source--be it culture, religion, government, nationality, ethnicity, etc. We are all the same. We have the same fears, desires, and needs. Your story is just my story -- the human story -- but told in a different perspective.
The other thing is that all governments do not treat everyone the same. Until we can open our eyes to this realization, that we are NOT all equal in their view, we can't change anything.
There is definitely a consciousness phase shift occurring. Whether or not you want to acknowledge that or not is fine by me. But until we look within and ask where do we wanna go from here, how can we change our way of thinking--not just mine but trying to open others too--, nothing is going to be accomplished. Nothing will have changed : it'll be a new chapter in the same story. We'll just be playing different characters, nothing more.
Welcome to the U.S.S.A.

Great movie
This Christian found it amazing. Please take the time to watch it and post the link on myspace, facebook, etc....... God Bless

What exactly is a christian again?
"I tremble for my country when I reflect that God is just, that His justice cannot sleep forever." - Thomas Jefferson
My version of a Christian
I was raised in the Christian tradition. That is my spiritual narrative. My path. I was taught by Jesuits and Trappists. I grew up serving my community and spent many retreats at monasteries. I’m a Christian and much more.
That explains alot
Nothing you said has anything to do with Christ.
you got it true_believer
Thank you for sayin nothing he said had anything to do with Christ. I liked this movie up until the part it started talking about technoloy. After that I lost interest. To each their own. I watched some of the other Zeitgeist awhile back and didn't agree with any of it and it actually made me angry watching it. But not going to preach.
a Christian is someone who believes this...

Yup
The first part has nothing to do with christianity. It's all about the monstrous acts of imperialism of the FED.
The last parts...are not for the closed mind christian.
