An upbeat note for my Ron Paul pals

I know many of you are angered, frustrated and disillusioned.
Ron Paul's bit for the presidency failed, the CFL and 3rdparty-initiative not getting the media attention they deserve, and now the Bailout Bill going through the congress in spite of all your calls and emails.
Well I am not saying 'Don't worry, be happy', since the situation - as Naomi Wolf points out http://www.dailypaul.com/... - is dead serious.
All I want to do is to share with you my somehow confident perspective. I'am sure we will prevail, though I don't know if it will only take some days, half a year or more than one tough year until the PTB will fall down.
- Ron Paul hasn't got the nomination? Much the better! Honestly, I would have loved to see Ron Paul as GOP candidate and beating Obama. But does anyone think with an unsympathetic senate, house of representative and media (all a 2008 presidency had in store) even Ron Paul would get far? Now he stays as your congressman, and as our teacher and spokesman. And though I somehow liked B.Goldwaer Jr.'s introduction to Ron Paul's speech at the Rally, I must say he is NOT A LEADER . The time for LEADERS is over and no on knows that better than Ron Paul.
Ron PAUL is simply THE MAN.
- CFL and 3rd party initiative not often in the media? Just shows how they scared they are of you! They love to show CONGRESSMAN Paul as the 'you-always-said-it' one-issue guy (Finances). Hardly any word on the war, healthcare, gun laws or drugs. They don't want to show that there is more on his agenda.
But it doesn't matter: the message has spread so far it cannot be stopped by the MSM. See, yesterday I received an email from Roger/swisstiger about Swiss 'Freiheitskampagne', http://www.dailypaul.com/... telling me about a French translation of my (original) article in a French -Swiss Blog

And you have noticed that the average number of users and guests have risen after the GOP nomination. These people know that this is about more than the presidency.
-They got their bailout? Let them have it! I have got the impression this thing has gone out of control for the elite too. You can't manipulate the markets all the time. And this failure is about to discredit them. And the legal immunities they reserved for them may not be of great avail when the lynch mob is after them. I'm not belittling the financial and economical crisis we are now getting into (my country just getting a fair share of it http://www.dailypaul.com/...) But the monetary system is their power base. And if it is destroyed and they be exposed, they cannot build an new one unremarked. That's our chance.
Is it not amazing what you achieved? I guess eighteen month ago no one, not even Ron Paul or Michael Nystrom did expect it would become so big. And remember OUR DIVERSITY IS OUR STRENGTH!

Austrian vs. Keynesian

We are in a battle for hearts and minds.
Recently Ron Paul has been mentioning Austrian economics and, when explaining why the powers-that-be don't get it, has been pointing out that they are Keynesians.
This is the main-line leverage we have for winning the overall argument.
The Keynesians extended the Depression to a decade-long horror.
Nixon declared himself to be a Keynesian when he cut the last thread between gold and the US dollar, and when he imposed price controls to counter price increases.
Paulson, Bernanke, Bush, Obama, and McCain are Keynesians.
Keynesians created the finacial crisis in America; and Keynesians poured gasoline on the flames with their disasterous bailout legislation.
Austrians to the rescue.
Permit people to adopt commodity money in spite of the howls from the failing Keynesians.
Permit people to trade among themselves regardless of borders unimpeded by the fascist controls Keynesians are still trying to impose.
The Keynesian theories are obviously incorrect. They have obviously failed.
It's time buyers and sellers in the market based their decisions on workable and correct economic theories. This way lies personal and political success.
Ron Paul will be extremely valuable as a respected spokesman for Austrian economics in the hard times ahead.

i think you are over rating their ties to the financial system
...or their concern of their credibility...
it is all a set up. there is nothing more moving to people then money, as we seen by the bailout calls to reject it. it was more than the Ron Paul people doing the calling.
this is more sinister. they plan to put this country in such financial dire straights, that people will so no way out, except to cave into the NWO an it's NEW monetary system. when you can no longer pay your bills or feed your family, you will be given this choice. are you ready to deal with and make that choice? and even if you are, what do you think most of the U.S. citizens will choose?
this ties right in with what the Bible talks about happening...

I consider myself to be a christian, but I don't take the bible literal (I think that's the great difference between protestant christians in the USA and in Europe). And isn't it written in the bible too (to the effect), 'who knows the day and the hour? '(I don't know chapter and verse, but I guess you recognize it,) So 'being prepared' is actually a challenging all live task, and I hope that in my own way I do not fail on this job.
Having expressed my sceptizism I do't deny that there may be much more behind these evil forces but economical power. That's more of a guess and I'm actually humbled by the fact how weak our understanding is.

I grew up not expecting there will ever be a peaceful reunification. And now within weeks everything changed utterly .Though I still expected the regime to react like the Cinese to the Tianjangmen (?) protests: sending the tanks against their own peple. Main reason they didn't do that were the Russians (who had hundredthousands of troops in Germany) under Gorbachev not tolerating that.

I just confused the names and will correct it. Though it's interesting to listen to Naomi Klein's shock doctrine too. If there is a serious illness it's always good to listen to different doctors, though you have to know their background.

but anyone should be thoroughly convinced by now that the shock doctrine theory is without a doubt used. I wish I had the link to that comparison of the Bush Iraq speech and the Bush bailout speech that John Stewart did. I think that makes it pretty obvious.

I've always hoped our man would make it farther then he did. What he is doing now is just as important. He can plant the seedlings in local offices and let them grow and move upward. Once those seedlings mature, Dr Paul will plant some more and repeat the process over and over. It'll take a few years, but this is the best way I think will produce the most effective and lasting leadership.

During summer and autumn '89 Czechoslovakia and Hungary took their fences down at the border to western countries. Also they ceased to inhibit East German citizens from getting West German passports at the embassies in Prague and Budapest. And so did all former "brother states" and the GDR suddenly became isolated, the last state ruled by the old communist leadership aside Albany and Romania. The only chance to keep up the 'border regime' and prevent the people from leaving the country was more or less to control all borders of the GDR like the borders to West Germany and West Berlin before or to declare martial law as it happened 1980 in Poland. Both wasn't feasible political and militarical, especially since the Soviet Union disapproved. So in autumn the regime was doomed, since they couldn't prevent people from leaving the country. In the evening of October the 3rd 1989 there came the surprising news, that the leadership of the GDR had decided behind closed doors to allow people to cross the border to the west without a Visa. Apparently the 'chain of command' was broken due to hardliners unwilling to pass the orders. That's why the confusion at the checkpoint. The remarkable thing that happened at this checkpoint was the officers decided on their own to open the gate. Even for them the regime had lost all authority.
Gorbachev wasn't involved here directly but he earned his merrits at an earlier stage, telling the regime, he wouldn't accept a violent solution.

I really enjoyed that video. No one pushed the rules, they just stayed and got louder. It was great and a part of history that I never knew, even tho the event of the walls coming down happened in my lifetime. How great.

I agree with you and I especially agree with you about the importance of us not having a "leader".
We need to be our own leaders. As long as we all understand and preach our message of freedom, we'll win.
The less centralized we are, the greater the chances we have of succeeding.
We all have to get involved in our local political events and talk to as many people as we can about our message. We can't wait for someone to tell us what to do.
Be your own boss. Period.
