I'm really enjoying this debate
But, that bell has GOT to go. Also, the ringing telephone.
This sounds like a conference call, which is fine with me. I hope they do it again and again and get the others involved. Where is Nader.

Good question about getting rid of Fed

I think the general public
thinks of a silver or gold based monetary system would take us back to tight money and the kind of life that came after the last depression.
Why doesn't someone go cover that doorbell!!
THATS EXACTLY WHAT IS
THATS EXACTLY WHAT IS NEEDED!!!!!!!!

You sound like a man of conviction. I applaud that. Conviction along may win battles, but it won't win wars. Pragmatism + conviction wins wars.
If you are comparing McCain to Hitler then why aren't you forming an armed group of resisters to stop the genocide? Talk is cheap.
It is true that McCan is a horrible politician, but I believe he loves this nation and what it stands for. Barak Bin Laden on the other hand doesn't.
I am also pragmatic..
I am an elector in my county republican party executive committee...I work as a go-between for groups of people I hope I never have to introduce the other camp too, who share a goal of having the same candidate for congress they are in support of.
I do believe McCain will lead this country into nothing but more war and more debt - but I dont think he stands a chance of winning , so I'm not worried about it - Ron Paul is directing GOP voters to Baldwin, just as Glenn Beck is leading other GOP voters to vote for Barr - while many others just wont vote this year - I was at a young republican debate watching party the other night, and even from that crowd there were more groans than cheers at the end of most of McCains responses.
And to infer that Obama a Muslim is disingenous - I may disagree with eveything the man stands for politically - but I have seen no proof that he isn't Christian.
I see Obama as another Carter - And I'm looking for a Ron Paul version of Reagan to unite the GOP in 4 years.
“I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies. “ - Thomas Jefferson
Obama is probably a Muslim
but who really cares? His religion does not make a difference to me. His policies are what is important. Both McBamas have the same policies with slightly different shades of gray, because both are hand puppets for the elites that run this country.
As for Bush, he pretends religious zealotry to gain support for his radical war-mongering directives. Preemptive war, torture, illegal spying, elimination of habeus corpus, consistent Orwellian rhetoric... It sure seems to me that the comparison between Bush and Hitler is not so far off.

Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms - should be a convenience store, not a government agency!
i care
I don't care that he's a muslim. I DO care that he has been lying to every American. Being muslim is political suicide, but honesty is far more important.
Have you
seen any proof that Bush is not Christian?
By their fruits
By their fruits ye shall know them. The fruits of the spirit are love, joy, peace, patience, gentleness, goodness, kindness and self control. The fruits of the devil are the opposite. Well, you tell me, is Bush a Christian?
Christian means Christ like and making Him your Savior and Lord. Is there evidence that Christ is the Lord of Bush's life?

"Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths." Proverbs 3:5,6
Bush is NOT a christian in the biblical, traditional, definition
Here is what our current President Bush is saying:
President Bush, "Well, first of all, I believe in an Almighty God, and I
believe that all the world, whether they be Muslim, Christian, or any
other religion, prays to the same God. That's what I believe. I believe
that Islam is a great religion that preaches peace." Oct. 4, 2007 (here
are the links to the sources.)

http://video1.washingtont...
here is a Cal Thomas article concerning Bush's belief that all religions worship the same God.
"In an official transcript released by the White House, the president said, "I believe in an almighty God, and I believe that all the world, whether they be Muslim, Christian, or any other religion, prays to the same God." Later in the interview, the president repeated his statement: "I believe there is a universal God. I believe the God that the Muslim prays to is the same God that I pray to. After all, we all came from Abraham. I believe in that universality."
To paraphrase a remark often attributed to the late Sen. Daniel Patrick Moynihan, everyone is entitled to his or her own faith, but everyone is not entitled to define the central doctrines of that faith. The doctrines of what is called Christianity not only stand in stark contrast to Islam, they also teach something contrary to what the president says he believes.
It is one thing to try to reach out to moderate and sincerely peaceful Muslims. It is quite another to say the claims of your own faith are of no greater importance than the often contradictory claims of another faith. If we all worship the same God, the president should answer the call of Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and Osama bin Laden, convert to Islam and no longer be a target of their wrath. What difference would it make if we all worship the same God?"

And Bush has what
To do with what in the context of this conversation?
“I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies. “ - Thomas Jefferson
Bush is a very public figure who acts Christian
If you cannot see that he is not Christian, then you are unable to tell when a person is a genuine Christian. The fact is that none of us can tell. BUT, CFR and the elites who are running this country, of whom Obama is one, notoriously say they are Catholic, Jewish, Christian and they are ALL atheist. The Illuminati is Atheist. Bush is Atheist.
I'm not Christian myself,
and I'm definately no fan of Bush or Obama, but how do you know? Have you been to church with them? I was merely saying that calling Obama a Muslim while there is no proof of that - is disingenous.
Does it really matter anyway? I think this issue would be best left to the individual and whoever they wish to worship - or choose not to.
“I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies. “ - Thomas Jefferson
How do I know
That is EXACTLY what I was asking you. You stated that you see nothing that suggests Obama is not Christian. So, I was in effect saying to you, "How do YOU know."
Daughter for Liberty is correct . . .
I've only been reading this site for a few weeks and I've only been a member for a couple of days, so I guess that makes me unqualified to post. Maybe after a thousand thoughtless replies I will be considered legit enough for this forum.
I have been firm in my pro-constitution ideology years before this site became a reality. I didn't need a leader to encourage me then and I don't need one now. I was a free-thinker long before the internet.
For the record: I am 100% behind Dr. Paul's views on the economy and the constitution.
Now that we got that out of the way, those who care to listen lend an ear. I used to skip articles and turn off the TV anytime I knew a liberal had the platform. I have since woken up and realized a lot of what the left fringe has been saying about Bush has a lot of truth. With that said, take the time to listen to some of the wacko liberals out there. We have more in common with them than you think. 80% of what they say may piss you off, but the other 20% may ring true. The same goes for other ideas on this forum, IMHO.
The goal should be to dismantle the two party system using a platform that doesn't polarize. I can't believe I said that because I hated the "big tent" concept that has ruined the republican party. If you rally around the idea of freedom people of all stripes will join in. Once that is acomplished, we can go back to our partisan bickering and folks can support their fuedal ideological lords. We all believe in one thing, and that is freedom.
Contradictions
Your last paragraph contradicts your earlier statement completely. Please tell me how we can dismantle the two-party system if people like you "reluctantly" continue to vote for them???
Every day I listen to political personalities complain about how bad McCain and Obama are, but whenever someone says that they will be supporting a third party, their idea is met with outrage - "You're only wasting your vote", "Better not to vote at all than to split McCain's base". It's ridiculous!! How are we supposed to accomplish this mighty goal if we're not willing to do the work?
No, a third-party candidate will not win the white house this election, but we have to lay the groundwork for 2 years from now when all our independent, Ron Paul-minded candidates are trying to defeat the established republicrats. We have to get our foot SOLIDLY in that door so that we can get in there and start kicking these jokers OUT on their asses!
Hey V, I'm sorry about my comment. :-(
Guess the term 'you people' doesn't sit too well with me since I've heard it quite a bit. But that's not a good excuse, I'm sorry for my gaffe -- usually I'm thinking better than that. Can we just skip to the issues and forget about this incident? I'm all ears today!

UNITE
One plank with Dr. Paul as Sec. of St. UNITE or we go straight down faster than a lead balloon. Use the debate to UNITE.
use debate to unite.
Exactly.Whomever is in charge needs to be aware and make a statement there to unit all 3rd partys to give us any chance now or in the future. All vow to vote one way...how could this happen...UNITED WE STAND COALITION
rick james said it best
UNITY...
why cant we all get along.
What really makes me angry is we all feel the same about mcbamma yet were all asking who to vote for...besides Ron i'm really not sure whom else to vote for either. All other 3rd partys sound the same or have the same basic core beliefs...We need to all vote the same to make a showing count!!
I wish Ron Paul would come out and give us direction now.
Or could all other 3rd partys unit on common ground and principals to make one party or agree to all vote the same...
Actually I believe Ron Paul
Actually I believe Ron Paul gave us direction. He endorsed Chuck Baldwin and no other 3rd party candidate. Pretty much sums it up.
I UNDERSTAND
I know he backs baldwin but there seems to be a lack of conformity..I dont see everyone say ok we are all 100% behind chuck since ron has his back now..We need to all unit together.
This is a joke
Are you people serious? Stop wasting your time on 3rd party debates and such. You are tools of the global socialist elite in a divide and conquer game. None of these candidates will amount to anything and you know it deep down inside. I can appreciate the convictions and patriot spirit, but the only way to overthrow the two party fascist dictatorship is to unite all 3rd parties under a single tent behind a simplified platform designed specifically to unseat Republicrats and Demublicans, ala Ross Perot (no, I didn't vote for Dumbo 1). Once the Republicrat-Demublican party is ousted, the constitution restored and the traitors hung you can go back to squabling.
I'm all for throwing the bums outa Congress, regardless of party, but I sure as hell don't want some ultra left wing community organizing fat cat marxist socialist islamo-fascist with his finger on the button. Yes, I'll be relucantly voting for McCain merely because I'd rather have a fascist instead of an islamo-fascist president.
Thats quite a statement considering you are aware
Of the fact that he is a fascist.
Would you then in a hypothetical vote - cast a vote for Hitler over Ahmadinejad?
The lesser of two evils is still evil.
And Voting for a Hitler because he isn't an Ahmadinejad - makes you complicit in his crimes when you are aware of the crimes he intends to commit.
This is a long war that the liberty movement has been fighting, I ask you to look down the road four years - does a vote for McCain in this election help any third party chance then? It does nothing for us - however - if a third party gets more than 5% of the vote in a state , they get automatic ballot access in 2012 - this year the 3rd parties spent months of time and most of their money just getting on the ballot - I'm hoping a few of them break the 5% mark this time in at least a few states this time around - getting them MSM attention - and then really shake things up in 4 years.
“I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies. “ - Thomas Jefferson
Hate your beginning
Love the middle and your conclusion stinks and is just plain dangerous.
The ONLY way this thing will ever do any good is to UNITE the third parties. That is what this debate should do for us. They should all agree to be in a cabinet together with Dr. Paul. They should unite and campaign like mad for the next three short weeks as ONE PARTY. Then we would all be voting for "our guy," whoever that is because they would all get in. They should all rally around the C4L and run as the LIBERTY PLATFORM together. Give that to the people. Then at least the elite wiill have more than one target. We could all get behind it. I would max tomorrow if that happened. None of them is going to do anything in the polls the way it is. If they united for this country, the populace might actually even hear about them. Baldwin says he is campaigning all over. I would never know it and I like him. No one out in the world is paying these guys any attention whatsoever.
This whole "THIRD PARTY" candidate move
is a joke, and does'nt stand a snowballs chance in hell of doing
any good at all.. If you think for one moment that we are going
towards certain very tough times, AND WE ARE.!!!! Then the
only options we have right now is to vote out every S.O.B. that
supported the (BAILOUT BILL).....that's first..!!!!
(Number 2) ----- If you value your freedom, what's left of it,
you will make sure that McCain gains the White House...
Because this "money up the ass" Obama is not only a very
evil and dangerous person, but he has plans to turn us all
into slaves through excessive taxation, New World Order
plans... Put all our children into the armed forces by way
of bringing back the draft...!! This shifty "non-USA citizen"
will have us all by the balls if he gets in..
Wake up people, times running out, and God help us all.
Been there... Tried that...
Every election comes around and we all gripe about the crappy 2 choices we have, but we keep voting for those two choices and 4 years later we get 2 more crappy choices... The ONLY way we can break this cycle is to STOP voting for their candidates! McCain and Obama are both members of the most untrusted, incompetent group of American citizens - the US Legislature. Voter turnout will be dismal.
IMAGINE...
Out of the (maybe) 1/3 of Americans that will actually go to the polls on Nov. 4th that McCain and Obama COMBINED can BARELY pull a majority vote. To me, THAT IS THE GOAL of the Campaign 4 Liberty's Third Party Push. We have to show our lack of confidence with our VOTES - not by staying home OR voting for one evil over another. I had planned to write in Ron Paul, but here in California my vote would not be counted at all if I did, so I will be voting Libertarian instead.
I don't understand why some people are so afraid of the outcome of this election - either way it will take a serious uprising to stem the tide of socialism in this country regardless which of these jerks is in office.
We have an opportunity here to help the masses understand that we don't have to eat what the MSM feeds us and to set the stage for some SERIOUS change in the coming years... but only if we have the guts to put aside our fears and do what's right!
Seriously William A Palfenier name one real difference
Between what Obama & McCain are going to do. A real verifiable legitimate difference, just one.
Thank you Dr. Paul for making my act on what I already knew was right.
McCain and Obama are SOBs that supported the bill
#1 cancels #2
Excellent Point
thank you!
And in what specific way is
And in what specific way is McCain different?
Thank you Dr. Paul for making my act on what I already knew was right.
So who are you going to vote for? McCain, Obama, no one?
If you aren't going to vote McBama, 3rd party is all you have.
However, I don't see why they are bothering with a debate.
You people! What do you mean you people.
Vote for the lesser of two evils, get one evil. Have fun with your conscience after that one. Lame. Fake revolution supporters bore me.
