How to protect current gold/silver investments???

I've been seeing alot of posts about not leaving a money trail, but what if you do leave one. Let's say you purchase gold/silver online with a credit card. Obviously, it's very easy to find out so is there anything you can do?
Also what is the likely hood that gold will be made illegal again? It happened once, but now things are just way too big and I don't see how it's possible. Correct me if I am wrong plz.

then those articles should be stored safely elsewhere, within relatively easy access when you need them. Elsewhere does not include a bank deposit box. There are private secure storage facilities, that are *not* banks, which will guarantee your privacy.
