Barack Obama often makes a joke in his campaign speeches about a genealogical survey last year that found he is a distant cousin of Dick Cheney. Now there is double bad news for Obama: a new survey out today found he is related to George Bush as well.
Researchers at the New England Historic Genealogical Society, founded in 1845, said Obama, the son of a white woman from Kansas and a black man from Kenya, can call six US presidents his cousins: both Bushes, Ford, Johnson, Truman and James Madison.
The genealogical society, a non-profit organisation, found he is also related to Churchill.
The organisation said it investigated the bloodlines of the three presidential hopefuls. One of the oddest is that Obama is related to Brad Pitt and Hillary Clinton to his partner, Angelina Jolie.
Clinton, who is of French-Canadian descent on her mother's side, is a distant cousin of Madonna, Celine Dion and Alanis Morissette. Other distant cousins include writer Jack Kerouac and Camilla Parker-Bowles.
Obama and President Bush are 10th cousins, once removed, linked by Samuel Hinkley of Cape Cod, who died in 1662. Pitt and Obama are ninth cousins, linked by Edwin Hickman, who died in Virginia in 1769. Clinton and Jolie are ninth cousins, twice removed, both related to Jean Cusson who died in Quebec in 1718.
While family trees such as these throw up interesting histories and links, genetically they are meaningless. While children carry half the genes of their father, cousins as far removed as Obama and Bush would have no more genetic link than someone they bumped into at random in the street.
The Republican candidate, John McCain, had claimed to be related to the Scottish king, Robert the Bruce, but, as the Guardian disclosed last week, British genealogists debunked that.
The New England genealogists who spent three years researching the background of the potential candidates found no royal strain either but established yet another Bush connection: McCain is a sixth cousin of the first lady, Laura Bush.

in the above article but from the Sorcha Faal who many here say is total mis-info ( truly who knows any more; I say take truth where you can find it). Anyway, the quote is " Obama because of the British Act of 1948 his Kenyan father was a british citizen, along with all of his children making him a subject of the Queen as he has never renounced his allegiance to her throne." Well, all I can if there is any truth to any of that why not find out what kind of citizenship he holds? They demand that much for employers of employees under threats of legal action. So why not demand an accounting for candidates running for the President of our country?

Whenever I call the bank with a problem
I remind the person on the phone that we are the same, that their boss makes hundreds of millions of dollars a year and that if given the choice between protecting your job and buying a bottle of wine, the wine would win. "Now about those fees, anything you can do to waive them?" You'd be amazed how much less protective they are.
Back on point---did you notice how the same day the plan to get troops out of iraq was announced, the declaration that the us wouldn't allow israel to bomb iran while us troops are in iraq?

I think there is
something to all this.I bet non of us are 10th cousins to any of them.What's the odds that they
all seem to be related.Maybe that's why they are all nuts in an evil sort of way.Maybe that's why they all need to be worshiped by us peasants.It's in their bloodlines.

As a genealogist, I can say that you'd be surprised at how
many people are related to the famous and infamous, as well as, to each other.
I'm a direct descendant of the House of Plantagenet and the first kings of England, as well as being related to Lucille Ball, Walt Disney, and about five presidents. My closest "famous" relative is the Australian outlaw Ned Kelly.
For $1000, I bet you I'll find links to Obama and McCain in your family tree. I'm not kidding. Would that disturb you?
