Last night both McCain and Obama made it quite clear that US imperialism is unstoppable. They committed to "protecting" Israel from Iran without flinching. They indicated the US will police the world against "genocide". They agreed to send non-existent US tax dollars to support Georgia and any other "democratic" government. Both were in favor of expanding the war in Afganistan to include Pakistan. The list goes on and on.
To fund these adventures they both agreed domestic programs will have to be cut. I do not disagree that domestic spending needs to be cut but it seems odd that it is the American people who will have to suffer so the imperialism can continue.
Neither one of them ever mentioned the Constitution. There was much talk about "US interests". Mostly it appears protecting "US interests" means using the US military to protect the ability of corporations to maintain assets in parts of the world where the local governments are either unwilling or unable to provide an appropriate level of security.
The corporations our military is protecting are the same ones that close operations here in America, lay-off American workers, ship the jobs overseas and keep their profits off-shore. These corporation do not deserve one drop of American blood.
Perhaps I rant but I had to get this off my chest before I explode.
Long live the revolution.

You did a great job telling us but we already feel the same way so we all need to write letters to the editor and get more people to see that both candidates love Isreal more than America.

AS the bailout & the reach for the middle class has evolved in this election, Obama is reaching to me by admonishing my work ethics, habits, .qualities & favorable attributes as an AMERICAN worker ...WE can do anything ...Who is WE. ???..YES; because this is where the Congresson on OCT. 01, 2008, put the paper money, down on ...OUR BACKS & future wages,OUR VALUE as a nation.....There is NO, $700B .... The most disappointing moment for me
was when they were asked, "would you send US troops into harms way for an operation that had nothing to do with national security but was morally motivated?" (my paraphrasing)
In my mind, this is so clear, only for national defense. They both went on and on about sending troops everywhere. That was the lowest point of the evening.
What Did McCain Call the US?
It was something like 'the greatest force for good in the world'. Both candidates have no idea what the Constitution says. We should be an inspiration, not a force. If the rest of the world wants to be like us let them do it themselves.

Unfortunately the candidates, the audience, and the MSM do not get it. This country is bankrupt. They are in denial whereas they do not make the connection between the economic disaster we are having today and the terrible effect more deficit spending, to maintain our world empire and the entitlement programs, will have on our economy. I assume, like the rest of us, many of them are experiencing some of the effects of the world recession. Most, if not all are going to have a rude awakening when they wake up to reality.

Let's face it: when those two criminals were vetted for the Presidency, it was done by a board consisting of gentlemen from the Military Industrial Complex, who have never profited more than in the last eight years. Both of those jerks were likely ordered to keep the profits rolling or else!
The only way to do that is to have a global imperialist tag sale to shore up two-bit dictators in the worst backwaters of the world. yah-dah-yah-dah. Yuo've heard it all before. Nothing new.
The sad thing is, it will never end until the entire economy collapses and this country declares bankruptcy... Even then, President McBama will declare overseas imperial causes "more vital" than bread riots in downtown Cleveland and soup lines in the Bronx.
The source of the problem
When you think about it, the source of our problems is that force is being used to stop people from being productive and trading necessary goods and services.
People are being forced to doing unecessary things.
Government is that force.
A privilege or a right?

Obama: Well, I think it should be a right for every American.
It can't be a right for every American, because if it's a "right" for some, it must then be a duty for the ones who will be forced to provide that "right".

i will say that my thoughts about obama were solidified last night:
he is, and always has been, "one of them" and as the "wolf in sheep's clothing" will "give the people what they want"

I've been reading "The Creature From Jekyll Island". The financial crisis is a product of manipulation and is designed to end the American middle class. Both McCain and Obama are part of the plan. The international banking community is pushing the world to the NWO.
