I have been having good luck getting people to talk. I have a silver certificate [one dollar] and 8 pre 1965 qaurters. I show a FRN next to the certificate and hand them 4 of the qaurters, I explain that in 1964 each qaurter would buy a gallon of gas, and that today that same qaurter still will.I go on to explain that a qaurter is not a qaurter of a dollar, it is a qaurter of an once.
when I hear the inevitable, "but what can I do?" my answer is to gain knowledge and spread the word!

Ron Paul's Convention Speech

This is what Dr. Paul is talking about in his wonderful speech at the JBS 50th Anniversary. There are some real gems in there - I'm going to watch it again. He wants us to study and know the issues, and to spread the word and educate and help others understand. People are definitely starting to wake up. This has especially been happening since the Bailout vote, because they saw that McBama and O'Cain both supported it, and we, the people, were against it almost one-for-one, so wtf? It is a fact that we are coming to the end of our society as we have known it, which from my viewpoint is somewhat welcome, and also sad. I mean it has been so wonderful, but so corrupted, that it must end. The wonderful parts I hope will survive. Dr. Paul said the remnant seems to survive no matter what, and that is us. It doesn't take 51%. Now we have to make sure that we replace the corrupted regime with the Constitutional Republic and not a dictatorship, only this time we will not take it for granted and will stay awake and pay the price of freedom with eternal vigilance. Thank you so much to all the Patriots for every sign you waved, for every phone call you made, for every house you canvassed, for every slim jim, pocket Constitution and bumper sticker you gave out, for the incredible money bombs, the Blimp, the Ron Paul Air Corp, the boats, the limo, all the fantastic creativity and for everything you will do to help ensure the survival of our great Republic. I have been feeling afraid that because we do not have a very specific goal these days (like getting Ron Paul elected) that our petty differences would soon divide us. Although this is still a fear I have I am going to think positively and try to have faith that the ideals of liberty are stronger than that.

Let's move forward in unity in the name of liberty!

Teach, don't preach... if you provide people with the facts and give them time to absorb and process the info instead of shoving it down their throats (like last nights debate) they usually come to the same conclusion... that their government has indeed been lying to them their entire lives... then they will want all the info they can get their hands on.

I hosted a debate party last night for several former NeoCons who have finally lost faith in their leaders (along with millions of dollars in real estate investments). I had my info ready and when those two Bozo's started spewing lies about Russia attacking Georgia I was able to provide documentation and pull up videos on the web from all around the world proving them both to be full of shit and promoting the same agendas. Then John McCain goes on to say "I know how to fix this economy, I know how to get it done." Well, what in the hell are you waiting for... if you can fix it... FIX IT! These guy's went nuts... so I seized the opportunity and made them watch Zeitgeist Addendum while the discussion continued and I passed around document after document.

The room went silent... they watched with great interest as everything finally made perfect sense and they realized that they, like everyone else, had been scammed by outright market manipulation. Well, I loaded them up with study materials and weblinks so they had to ability to accurately share what they had learned with others.

This IS the Power of the Patriot!

Yeah, we're spread out over the country, and even across the world. I'm from NC but currently in Canada, and the C4L and Ron Paul are making waves even here.

I was watching BJ Lawson's website yesterday, noticing the names and towns of recent donors, and it amazed me - people from all over the country donating money to his campaign. That HAS to be because of the C4L, DP, and the exposure he got at the Rally - I'm sure no other person running for Congress in NC has so many donors from around the country. It encourages me that we're scattered - it means we have a wider influence. And now is our time...

Let it ring from every mountain top. Let is rush through every valley. Let it blow to the four corner of the earth and let it wash away all our fears. Let freedom ring!

and so is the narrative from "silentboom". Yes, it does take time and patience to get the message across and it is hard to be patient when there is such a sense of urgency. I live in Boulder, Colorado which is about as liberal a communtity as you could find. But, three times already this week I have had mini-breakthrough moments with people who've heard me prattle on about monetary policy, fractional reserve banking and the Federal Reserve system for the last year. All of a sudden these topics are not "boring" anymore! All of a sudden they want me to explain it to them. All of a sudden people want to get together for dinner and pick my brain about what to do. Luckily, following Dr. Paul, and reading LewRockwell.com has really educated me with facts and a basic understanding of Austrian economics. Having facts at hand really helps.
So, perhaps this crisis has a silver lining. Perhaps this is the catalyst which gets people to listen...which gets them to research.....which gets them to think.......which gets them to question.....and ultimately gets them to rise up in the defense of our freedom and our Republic.
Remember the theory of the 100th monkey. Maybe YOU will be the one to convince the critical "100th awakening" which triggers the tipping point. Let's keep at it! No army can stop an idea whose time has come!

I have a friend who was a serious Neocon. After working on him for a while very carefully and slowly over months....he asked if he could borrow Dr Paul's book, The Revolution. He's been reading it and at first got angry and tried to fight with me over foreign policy. As he moved through the book, he asked more and more questions. Last night he stopped over my house and said that he finished the sections on healthcare and the story of the congressman (If I remember right) who left Washington to start his own hotel and failed due to regulations and said he was 100% on board, he was ranting about how the government ruined health care and how they screw things up, he had that crazy look in his eye like someone who just discovered that someone had betrayed him. He was ranting about communism and socialism..... He said that he still disagrees with Dr. Paul on foreign policy, but he is almost awake. This was a guy who swore by government. He was 100% Neocon O'Reilly watcher. I was kind of shocked by it. It just shows us that we can change almost anyone if we give them the truth and deliver it to them in the right way for them to hear. I think alot of us get frustrated and want results right now, but it takes time to wake people up. We can't be too hard on ourselves but at the same time realize that time is running out.
