Have Obama supporters been hypnotized?

Obama Supports Bailout: Where is the Outrage?! (USA)
Obama voted for FISA, for the Patriot Act, for offshore drilling. On a more immediately relevant note, Obama not only supports the bailout (granting tax breaks to the very businesses that caused this mess) but even advised that we not put riders on the bill that could allow people to have judges adjudicate bankruptcies in favor of workers. He foments fear by talking about the eternal threat of terrorism, never addressing how our government helped create these terrorists (see the BBC documentary “The Power of Nightmares”), how the war on terrorism serves to vastly increase powers of the state and how the risks of terrorism are greatly exaggerated. He has close ties to Zibignew Brzezinski, the man who during the Carter administration surreptitiously supported (through China) mass murderer Pol Pot and who deliberately created the very Al Qaeda we now fight as a means to undermine Russia. He says he is for dialogue with Iran while at the same time stating that its army is terrorist and that “nothing is off the table” in terms of dealing with them. He kowtows to Israel. He never addresses the inherent corruptness of the Federal Reserve, or the real reasons we are in Afghanistan (to put in a gas pipeline) & Iraq (to control the region’s oil) & why we are now supporting Georgia (to put in a gas pipeline) in a manner that puts this country at risk for nuclear retaliation. And while he might discuss it in a (slightly) less bombastic manner, Obama is extremely pro-war, as is his running mate.
These are just some examples of Obama’s longtime alignment with the status quo and yet a mesmerized public – in defiance of all evidence and logic – persists in the belief that this is a candidate of “change”. It is time for Obama and McCain supporters alike to challenge the false left/right paradigm that keeps us polarized and from addressing the real issues about what ails this country. Obama supporters especially need to wake up, as this candidate is particularly dangerous in his ability to engender such blind and absolute faith – again, in defiance of all evidence and logic. I would personally rather have a leader that everyone knows is the enemy, than one who has beguiled the masses into believing that he is a savior. The way in which so many people support Obama so absolutely and so unquestionably is bewildering and scary. Whenever I point out some of the aforementioned tidbits to friends or family who support Obama, I never get specific counterpoints, just "He represents change" or "He has inspired so many young people" or “It would be an inspiration to have a black man in the White House” or "He's better than McCain". People are so mesmerized by Obama or the idea of what they want him to be, they are seemingly incapable of seeing how he clearly serves the exact same interests as McCain (e.g., the military industrial complex, IAPAC, etc.) and would essentially put us on the same trajectory – perhaps even more dangerously so as so many evidently remain under the illusion that this is a man who can be trusted, a man who is apparently supernaturally immune to the pulls and pressures of corrupt special interests, a man who doesn’t require serious scrutiny.
The ability to speak eloquently about the need to remove our civil liberties, cut deals for offshore drilling and bailout corrupt banking institutions is NOT change. It is more of the same in a slicker package, one that too many seem to have gleefully swallowed because it does not require them to see the frightening reality of what this government has truly become and see through the charade of our two-party system that serves the same special interests. America is in dire need of REAL change, not just a change in rhetoric. The best way to predict a person's future behavior is according to their past and current behavior, and thus far Obama has done nothing to demonstrate how he would seriously challenge the nefarious special interests that have metastasized throughout our government and fundamentally undermined its integrity. It is time for Americans to be smarter, to seriously fine-tune our discernment, to not be complacent with just the lesser of two evils, and to wake up to the charade of the two-party system. We don’t need leaders who speak in generalities and of meaningless clichés like the “audacity of hope”. We need leaders who have the audacity to expose this government’s criminality and offer real solutions based on ethics and common sense - people like Dennis Kucinich, Ron Paul and Ralph Nader – NOT people like Obama, who would defend the Constitution only when it’s convenient, who boasts of his “audacity of hope” when what this country really needs is the audacity of brave and right action, and who would lead mesmerized millions to happily and deludingly forfeit their rights and expectations towards a future of more of the same and worse.
As so eloquently put by Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., “…there comes a time when one must take a position that is neither safe, nor politic, nor popular; but one must take it because it is right.” Real change is possible once WE the American public starts to change, once we humbly confront our emotional and intellectual investments in a system stopped serving us long ago, once we stop making excuses for leaders who consistently stick with policies that are “safe”, “politic” and “popular”, once we start becoming leaders ourselves. That would be truly audacious.

The Fraudulent Left-Right Paradigm: A Football Analogy
Please see my post: The Fraudulent Left-Right Paradigm: A Football Analogy
It's obvious that many people base their vote and support of a given candidate on superficial or "feel good" reasons. To them, image replaced substance long ago. And since many people seem to really depend on sound bytes and drive-thru choices for their decisions so that public affairs do not infringe much on their selfish, self-important lives, they chose the candidate that makes them feel the best about themselves, I guess. I think that is why Barry is so big right now.
I'm starting to think that people don't even know what they really believe, if they believe anything at all about public affairs. Their decision-making heuristics seem to be based on some relativistic, psychologically-collectivist frame-work and not a real concept of right and wrong--or truth and untruth. It seems that the prevalent thinking of our robo-voter brethren supporting O'Cane/McBomba '08 is some synthesis of what the "mainstream" tells them and how they are perceived or want to be perceived by their peers.
I think that it's also important to comment here how many people (supposedly even some of our liberty-loving friends) subscribe to the self-reinforcing psychological mode of "mainstream" manufactured control in the form of the pervasive and wide-spread use of pejorative language to limit "acceptable" opinion and shut down free and rational debate. That is one reason why so many people seem to be so blissfully ignorant that McCain and Obama are identical on so many subjects so critical to our Republic--the most important questions are never even addressed (or if the questions are addressed, they are merely sidestepped without protest). Again, the most important thing--I suppose--is that the hoi polloi not be bothered in their small, self-important lives--and their conception of "normal" or "mainstream" that they desperately cling to--with such esoteric trivialities as liberty, truth, and right and wrong.

SatNiteLive needs to do a skit showing people in a trance at an
Obama rally, saying yes master we hear you oh Messiah the magnificent one, as he says off the wall stuff that has nothing to do with politics. Oh nevermind they would never do that, they are hypnotised also.
funny commercial
Whenever I see this Obamamania crowd I have to think about a commercial that was on dutch television in de 90s, it's a commercial for an insurance company and it involves voodoo. Very funny! :)

The election is a Rorschach test.
People project their own political fantasies onto a candidate.
I remember seeing a youtube video of an Obama supporter who was convinced that his man was going to cut taxes.
I dare say you could find plenty of McCain supporters with the same fantasy.
A general lack of critical thinking and an ignorance of history are the real problems here.

I don't see what is negative
I don't see what is negative about the offshore drilling part. This seems like something Ron Paul would support. Government disallowing offshore drilling means government is interfering with the free market.
He has an Obamabotic public.
You've no doubt seen this but...
Click here to see some young Obamabots in action. And his followers don't tend to be too bright.

Hypnotizing people?
What are those Masonic hand signals Khan pointed out that he's doing now but wasn't before he joined the CFR?

All I hear is...
I'm voting Mccain so Obama wo'nt win. Or
I'm voting Obama so Mccain wo'nt win.
I say I'm voting 3rd party and they say ...
Do'nt do that or you will help Mccain win. Or
Do'nt do that or you will help Obama win.
I say well if you do'nt all vote 3rd party we all lose.
The US voting public
is made up mostly by those that don't have a clue and if its sounds good -
they're in.... is media and my friends talking it up - it's trendy ...
then there are those who buy into packaging - how it looks - how it sounds
any charizma etc.... appearance / flowery speech ....
and - those who are just die hard - party allegiant ...
they have to see the guy with either the ass or elephant standing on the white house lawn ...
the smallest percentage know where they stand on issues and what their message is .... (these are the only ones - at least earn respect)
they are bigtime minority -
dumbing down - in reality
YOU THINK?
:-Q
They are brainwashed
My friend was a bigtime Ron Paul supporter, at least I thought he was until he started going home with Obama posters. I looked at the signs and looked at him, and all he said to me was "action" and that was it ! I wasted a year talking to him about Dr Paul, I let him read my Manifesto which now I think he never bothered to read, but he sure said nice things about the book, like great read, excellent but never wanted to talk about anything in the book.

Show your support on the Ron Paul Map !
People worldwide support Dr. Paul too :-)

Well at least
he didn't say, "Change."
My people are mostly for McCain. I never get emails from my email list supporting what I send them, but occasionally I get included on their lists supporting McCain. Then I realize how disturbing it must be to them to always get my emails that disagree with their politics.
Sounds familiar
After a year of seemingly interested talk and a gift book now she has a BO bumper sticker next to the RP one I gave her. And not a peep about the book:(
