My Feeling.....the majority of Americans will fold like a house of cards

In response to the article, this is why we need to be out there educating people. We need to convince them to buy food, supplies silver and gold, so that they have the power to take up the slack and stimulate local economies. Big government doesn't want us to have that power, they want us to be weak.

I think that most of them have never directly disagreed with authorities ever since they started a school.

I'm surprised that so many people are so timid about expressing themselves. Even so many Ron Paul supporters are afriaid of putting a Ron Paul bumper sticker.

This is both bad and good. The good is that there are a lot more people who support Ron Paul and his ideas than you realize.

Unfortunately, most of the people that I encounter in my small world are only worried about their own small, self-important lives. They will "go along to get along" no matter what, it would seem. If there is a choice between temporary suffering for the ideals of freedom and liberty ("esoteric ideas" as some have described them to me directly) and the "tranquility of servitude", as Samuel Adams so eloquently put it, they will choose servitude.

The heuristics widely in use seem to be based on a relativistic frame-work based upon the "mainstream" and what amounts to an unsaid form of peer-pressure (to be "normal" one must not try to rock the boat) and not on a clear conviction of right and wrong or truth and untruth.

I know that it is a pessimistic view, but I look at it as simply being realistic.

But this only underscores the importance of the three pillars of peaceful revolution as identified by Ron Paul, education, conventional political action and civil disobedience.

if a new currency is introduced, then frn's would be sold for pennies on the dollar, but your mtg and other loans are denominated in dollars, so wouldn't you be able to get $100,000 or so for say $A10,000 and pay off your mtg? just a thought

Sadly, I agree with you. I think all of us here need to start a new country and bring the Constitution with us (as seeing the majority of Americans have little use for it now anyway). The elite truly rule the sheeple!

He has said many times that he never dreamed there would be so many Americans interested in liberty- he was talking about YOU and ME!

When someone else becomes president in January, blame the mainstream media and CFR cronies all you want, for they are culpable, but the FUNDAMENTAL reason Dr. Paul won't be president was his personal belief that he didn't stand a chance of winning.

Let's not make the same mistake. What we think affects what we do.

Instead, talk to your friends and neighbors about liberty. Just because Ron Paul's campaign for president is over does not mean our work is finished. Put those slim jims to work and wake up a few people.

I have a better idea. How about getting elected to local or state office? How about filling the ranks of local and state government instead?

I was thinking yesterday that a good analogy of what perferred American life has become. People want to live in a subdivision with strict covenants, they like giving away their freedom so they can live in a perfect enviroment (so they think). You get a lien on your house if you park all night on the street, no clothes lines (even in the backyard), the board must approve the color of your house. This is crazy to me, but those people dig it. They like being told what to do and don't want to be bothered with personal liberty. Those people just want to watch football and go to the mall.
I live in the "old west". Rural living is true Americana. We compromise, fight and eventually things work their way out. One neighbor is a complete pig, I call his place "the landfill on the left", one neighbor won't speak to us over an irrigation dispute, got a hole shot through an irrigation line last year, called the sheriff, problem solved. But I can paint my house whatever color I want, build a chicken coop and have a rooster. A FREE society isn't "perfect". Freedom isn't free, it comes with a lot of compromise and sacrafice, but it is sure worth it to me.

Ron Paul people need to be prepared to step up for public office positions. Even the reluctant ones will have to reconsider because, I believe the country is going to be completely gone without us.

If we all just got taken for at least $10,000 a piece, which would be a low estimate, how come we are all just sitting here typing? We all need to do something for liberty every week. They just stole a shitload of our money!!!! My wife's father just lost $30,000 of his pension this month, I say the only rule now, is there are no rules-first for them, and now for us.

I, personally, intend to fold like a lawn chair which is much studier than a house of cards.

I did think about this... it will be very tough. The lure of the 'good life' we remember will be quite a draw, even if it no longer exists. Family, kids, etc. sure have a way of weighing on your mind when bellies get hungry.

How will you, personally, handle your situation?? Only time will tell.

...the majority of "Americans" have ALREADY folded "like a house of cards" on NUMEROUS occasions. For atrocities like the income tax (slavery), property taxes (you don't own "your" property, if you're paying rent on it), fiat money (blatant theft), murderous wars (almost of all which were the result of false flag events), driver's licenses (controlling your ability to travel), SSN's (tracking your every financial move), myriad obvious infringements on 2nd Amendment rights (gov't will tell you if you're "allowed" to defend yourself or not), etc., etc., etc. Of COURSE they'll fold again for the NWO. I know exactly how you feel.

I've had people in a conversation who say "well so what if there was a one world currency and government? We'd probably be better off." And i explain to them that a bigger govt. will cause more interruption in our daily lives than we currently tolerate via taxes, more controlling laws, unjust wars, etc.

But keep the faith...

Just the other day, out of the blue, i got a text message from a friend and an Obama supporter: Ron Paul is alright in my book.

Me:: AWESOME! Why all of a sudden?

Him: I just stumbled on his video on youtube. That man is speaking the truthl I see the light.

(can you believe it? he said "i see the light!")

Me: YES!!!

I later had a conversation while working out and he said that if Ron Paul was still running, he'd change his vote.

Sad but true.

I stay in touch with my friends & family back home by email--probably 20 people--and only 3 people seem to be on my page but not fully committed like me. The others are completely lost and it drives me crazy. They're all voting for Obama too because he's not an old white guy--pathetic!!!

Honestly, the other day I was so close to sending them all a big F_ _ _ Y_ _ email and telling them to all piss off but I stopped myself. I have a feeling that email might be coming soon though....

I have a feeling that we might just be very surprised, I was at this latest show during the bailout vote. I would have never imagined that so many people would even pick up a phone to make a call to their Congressmen, must less send as many letters, emails and faxes. I think the People are getting absolutely fed up, while it may be a minority, I think it is a much larger minority than we give credit.

As I have always said, people are not naturally inclined toward rebellion or revolution, it must be incited within them due to an ever-increasing harsh circumstance, but there does come a point when they are ripe for revolution and there must be those among them to led the way. All revolutions begin as a planted seed, with the right soil and the right nutrients those seeds sprout and begin to bear fruit.
