Will Chavez murder be finishing touch for the Bush Administration?
President of Venezuela Hugo Chavez has repeatedly told that during the last weeks of George W. Bush`s presidency in the United States the Bolivarian republic and he, Chavez, personally would be in danger. The way he called on his allies to be on alert was described in the pro-American mass media and by the opposition members as “persecution mania” and “paranoid fear of death”. They said nobody had ever made an assassination attempt on him and would hardly do it in future.

I have a Venezuelan friend
I have a Venezuelan friend who I met a few weekends ago. He's a friend of my Colombian friend, who I've been friends with since 2001. He had this party and we obviously talked about politics. He aksed me about who I was going to vote for, I said third party. Then, I asked him how did he get a big Venezuelan flag that was hanging in his bedroom. This flag had a seal on it. He went out with a few friends in Caracas and was wasted like hell. He was at the Venezuelan IRS (I don't remember the name). He went up the building and took the flag with him. Nobody caught him. Ok, you might ask what does this have to do with Chavez? Here's my answer: he and his family were followed by the Chavistas and kicked out of the country. He can't stand him and wants to go back to Venezuela some day.
THE REVOLUTION WILL NOT BE TELEVISED
Can you trust the media?
Must see documentery film
Two independent filmmakers were inside the presidential palace on April 11, 2002, when Chavez was forcibly removed from office. They were also present 48 hours later when, remarkably, he returned to power amid cheering aides. Their film records what was probably history's shortest-lived coup d'état. It's a unique document about political muscle and an extraordinary portrait of the man The Wall Street Journal credits with making Venezuela "Washington‚s biggest Latin American headache after the old standby, Cuba."

Chavez had a chance to do
Chavez had a chance to do something good and he totally blew it. The majority in Venezuela want him gone. Even the poor, of whom which make up most of his support because he's promising *free* things for them, is fractured in their support for him. His grab for power by trying to circumvent their constitution so that he could remain in power indefinitely went over very badly. The final straw was when he put forth an idea for children 3+ years old and up to become wards of the State and to go to these really *cool* schools where they would learn about Venezuelan history and how to become good, productive citizens for the State. Everyone was like whoooooooooooooooooooooooooa WTF?!?!?!?!? No everywhere you go in venezuela you see the Vota SI X'ed out.
Actually most things we hear
Actually most things we hear about Chavez are probably lies. I have heard that the CIA wants to take him down because the Administration doesn't like him.
I do not think he is a bad guy at all. Lots of people in his country have a lot of respect for him. And he has creative ways at trying to help the people of his country.
So while he may not be a free market guy..(not everyone is) I don't think he should be demonized in the West. And he probably is in danger, I imagine.
Do you mean creative ways
Do you mean creative ways like using diebold to rig elections?
One thing is true:
"Actually most things we hear about Chavez are probably lies"
That probably includes the animosity between Chavez and Bush.
Excuse me. I was wrong.
Excuse me. I was wrong. Chavez did not use diebold voting machines, he used Smartmatic voting machines.

I don't think so. Go listen
I don't think so.
Go listen to Michael Albert.. He spends a lot of time down there with the people of Venezuela. They love Chavez.
Ive spent a good bit of time
Ive spent a good bit of time there myself and most people do NOT like him. At one point they did, but they turned after his power grab. Vota SI has red spray painted X's all over it all over the country.
I didnt know about a power grab
When did that happen?
Interesting. Well I guess
Interesting. Well I guess that country is out to move to..
;)
No
Chavez is a quasi-dictator who wants his model of socialism for all of South America. Most of his opposition to the US is just talk meant to stir up the tremendously indoctrinated populace into believing he's a revolutionary hero fighting against the powers that be.
Every now and then someone at the Daily Paul mentions Chavez in a good light, as if he was one of us. He is completely detached from the Jeffersonian ideals of liberty. One might as well start admiring Fidel Castro, who is best friends with Chavez, and whose regime killed in proportion more people that Stalin.
It's also worth keeping in mind that Venezuela sells most of its oil to the US, given that most countries don't even have the capability to refine the very heavy, sulfurous oil that comes from the Venezuelan fields. Chavez does not want a depression in the US, and the US doesn't want civil unrest in Venezuela.
I know. I've told my family
I know. I've told my family that Chavez is in that group that wants to run the world like Bush and his cronies are. I think Chavez wants all South American countries to follow his path and, once that happens, fool the people and betray them.
The enemy of my enemy is my friend
Chavez is a typical dictator and a bit of a jerk. BUT, he is not cooperating with the NWO folks, and every time he spits in their faces I cheer, since at THIS moment in time I consider THEM more dangerous than Chavez. Get rid of the power elites once and for all, and restore the US to the people, and then we can worry about whether or not we buy our oil from Venezuela (which should really be our ONLY decision.... and let the Venezuelans worry about Chavez).

Exactly. Chavez needs to go
Exactly. Chavez needs to go and MANY people that once supported him there no longer do after seeing his attempt at a power grab by circumventing their Constitution. He even put forth this idea that after 3 years old the children become wards of the state for some years and they would go to these *schools* that would teach them for *free* etc. Basically, indoctrination camps. THAT set a LOT of people off against him.
Wouldn't be surprised if Chavez is a CIA operative...

Well
They did try to overthrow him once. The people came out of the hills and demanded he be released. It was a peaceful revolution. Same thing that we could do
