Officer Jack McLamb Radio Show with Ron Paul campaign manager Steve Martin, 7 Sept 2008. $20-million missing, campaign hijacked by NeoCon Republicans. Ron Paul has now endorsed Pastor Chuck Baldwin for president with the Constitution Party. Rep Cynthia McKinney of the Green Party has adopted Ron Paul's platform to nationalize the private Federal Reserve Bank that keeps all IRS income taxes, and eliminate the IRS and income tax, and she was the first member of Congress to accuse Bush of perping the treasonous terror massacres on 9/11/2001. Ralph Nader has also adopted many of Ron Paul's platforms, and now agrees 9/11 was an inside job, thanks to his chauffeur Pirate News handing him 9/11 Truth and Bohemian Grove videos.

"The argument that the two parties should represent opposed ideals and policies, one, perhaps, of the Right and the other of the Left, is a foolish idea acceptable only to the doctrinaire and academic thinkers. Instead, the two parties should be almost identical, so that the American people can "throw the rascals out" at any election without leading to any profound or extreme shifts in policy. There does exist, and has existed for a generation, an international Anglophile network which operates, to some extent, in the way the radical Right believes the Communists act. In fact, this network, which we may identify as the Round Table Groups, has no aversion to cooperating with the Communists, or any other groups, and frequently does so. I know of the operations of this network because I have studied it for twenty years and was permitted for two years, in the early 1960's, to examine its papers and secret records. I have no aversion to it or to most of its aims and have, for much of my life, been close to it and to many of its instruments. I have objected, both in the past and recently, to a few of its policies (notably to its belief that England was an Atlantic rather than a European Power and must be allied, or even federated, with the United States and must remain isolated from Europe), but in general my chief difference of opinion is that it wishes to remain unknown, and I believe its role in history is significant enough to be known."

Sources near the very top say
that Kent Snyder actually spent a ton of money on his personal credit card for campaign expenses and materials, etc. The surge in funds was only a reimbursement for what he took on himself.
This guy could be intentionally lying to advance some personal vendetta, or more likely is just a paranoid ass and speaking about things he's truly ignorant of.

It is true that reimbursements for credit card expenses
to an employee look just like a paycheck for purposes of financial reporting.
I used to use a personal credit card for a business I worked for, to the tune of tens of thousands of dollars, as needed for equipment purchases, etc. If all anyone did was look at a report on checks written to me, it would look like my salary was triple what it was in reality.

Yeah... but if 50% of your company's expenditures were "hidden"
in that way... you'd have a tremendous amount of answering to do.
Response to this recording from one of my state coordinators and
a former WA Ron Paul campaign staffer posted on an internal message board -
Trust me, I worked for the campaign and there were decisions that were made that I didn't agree with. I tried to send recommendations up the channels that I thought were solutions to obvious problems. There were times where it seemed like ideas were falling on deaf ears, but mostly there was just so much happening so fast.
The campaign didn't really have the funds to run a national fight until November. Then they hired staff across the country like crazy, set up offices as soon as could be done, and tried the near impossible task of organizing the grassroots into a machine. The national staff did what they could to get us what we needed here in WA. We all made mistakes, though. I could rattle off several of my own.
Unfortunately, by the time of the caucuses, the party machinery was basically churning out the McCain front-runner/party-unity BS, and by the county conventions they had organized a fear campaign of their legions of old-hats against our swarm of newcomers. Campaign operations shut down sooner than many would have liked, and we were on our own. By the way, I'm glad we were because it made us work together in new ways and got us really learning how to organize for ourselves as a group.
Nationally, as far as big disappointments go, there was the infamous situation in Iowa, where the person who caused the loss of data, to my knowledge, may have been this campaign's Benedict Arnold. Many who were on the ground said we had the numbers for at least third in Iowa, but the GOTV was sabotaged.
Third in Iowa would have meant third or better in New Hampshire. As it was, we got second in Nevada, but the results that could have been would have made it closer. We could've won or placed top two in S.Carolina. More money would've been pouring in, McCain wouldn't have been dominating and would've stayed weak. Huckabee wouldn't have been top two. It would've been us and Romney. He had a buttload of money, but no organization outside the Western states and Iowa. We could've been looking at the presidency - without having to rely on convention battles. Woulda, coulda, shoulda... but I'd still like to find the Iowa Destroyer and...
Other than Benedict, you're looking at, what seemed to me, people as committed to the cause of Liberty as could be, trying to battle almost unprecedented forces against us, challenges within the party, in the media, and elsewhere that our candidate faced because the whole of his career, his philosophy, his campaign and all the people behind him pointed a steaming sawed-off shotgun at the establishment left/center. Ron Paul was not a good Republican candidate the intelligentsia/punditocracy/D.C.-crime-syndicate could simply pat on the head and command to fetch, roll over and ultimately play dead.
Were mistakes made? You bet. Were opportunities lost? Of course.
But we pick up and move forward, learning from the past and trying to do better. Unfortunately, particular people are called out in this recording. Spreading false or irrelevant information about people who have achieved more than most for advancing the Liberty movement in America seems irrational and reeks of a personal grudge.
I may have been a little aggressive toward you, ***. It is just that I've seen so many ridiculous accusations, and as participant, albeit a skeptical one, in that or any organization, I see more of a personal vendetta by this guy, not solid, rational and substantial accusations.
Everyone, listen to this recording if you must. I've now listened to the whole thing. Here's my analysis of the commentator's list of complaints on the program:
1. The campaign didn't hire anyone this guy knew(the plaintiff) to be at the top, or they weren't raving truthers. Truth or no truth, advancing 9/11 truth conspiracies does not a president elect.
2. Vote-fraud issue. Ames straw poll - who cares. NH could have been an issue. But mind you, things were moving so fast nationally that to take the focus off states coming up next to fight a lawsuit for what would be negligible gains, would have been insane and made Ron Paul a national laughing stock. The campaign did look at it. What they thought they might find wasn't worth the fight.
3. Tens of millions of dollars unaccounted for? The guy really, really needs to back this up, but never does.
4. Bad ads. There were a lot of great ads, a couple not so great. However, those couple crappy (first) ads were intentionally done that way because they consistently work in Ron Paul's district, where he wins by such huge margins that the Dems don't even run an opponent. I, too, wish there were more ads, though, and that those ads hit harder on the big issues. But, we have to remember, the kinds of ads many of us wanted to see would be appropriate for the general election, not a primary where the majority of GOP participants feel they need to defend a crap president.
5. "There was a lot of homosexuality in the campaign headquarters..." What does he mean here? Were some staff gay, or were there orgies in the call center funded by the $5 donations of little old ladies and mortgaged houses of the true believers? My guess is this is mostly speculation. Also, if this is a dealbreaker for people, then there are probably no presidential campaigns these nihilists could support.
6. The campaign wanted to protect the message and didn't want staff and materials advancing conspiracy theories. Seems like a good decision to me.
7. The bogus billionaire story he read about on Ron Paul forums. Now everything else he's suggesting is definitely suspect.
8. Ron Paul didn't see through a pointless, humiliating, career-destroying battle all the way to the RNC Convention. I say career-destroying with my self-interest and best interest for our country in mind, for if he were to do this, he would surely lose his committee seats, which would cut a lot of information we're getting as well as make Ron Paul a less-valuable commentor on the news stations. The message of Liberty and sound money would suffer.
That said, he was in negotiations to get whatever concessions he could get right up until before and even during the convention. The RNC essentially spit in his face and wanted to parade him around in handcuffs. The effort was pointless because even Ron Paul realized and referenced many times the rigged process. He did it with the class of a gentleman and statesman, though. You gotta love the guy!
9. Kent Snyder's salary. He earned it. The man worked himself to death and is the reason there even was a presidential campaign, a Campaign for Liberty - a revived passion for Liberty in America if you will. If Snyder didn't do what he did to earn his pay, we wouldn't be talking right now. There seems to be much insinuation in this piece that the top guy (Snyder) was gay. Who knows? Who cares? Does that make him less-deserving of his pay? New life has been breathed into this nation and into the fight for Liberty. Priceless. Whomever you sleep with will benefit as well.
10. The guy is upset the C4L isn't endorsing and funding candidates right now. The Campaign for Liberty is set up as a 501c4 and can't endorse candidates. It's not their job, and (my question is) what's their endorsement worth anyway? They're trying to organize the precincts where we can win this thing (the country back, not a single solitary office, or even a handful). There are many, many other and more valuable ways to support candidates than offering a petty endorsement. It makes sense that if they are able to endorse somehow, they would wait until their endorsement has power behind it and isn't something which puts a target on a candidate.
11. D-DAAAAAA Freemasons! Members of Ron Paul's family are 'involved with the Masons.' (can't you just smell the Illuminati boiling babies in the basement of C4L hq?!?!?)
12. Ron Paul didn't have a deep burning desire to be president. He was a fugazi. Deep down, you just knew it, didn't you.... (maybe it's because he's really a member of the Reptilian Race) For a man who seems to eschew power, Ron Paul seems to have assumed his role out of necessity and out of a sense of personal and ideological moral duty. He doesn't want to be a cult hero. Ron Paul never wanted to be the Pied Piper, so don't accept the two nitwits' contradictory round-about insinuation that we should all be lemmings.
Why would these guys want someone as president who they are convinced is so naive to have close staff which have infiltrated the movement and are destroying his life's work? They think Ron Paul has sold them out. Or his ambition wasn't strong enough. The C4L staff are turncoats to the movement. Not all the former and current staff share the beliefs of these two clowns, and may prefer different social/sexual behaviors, therefore this is a movement Christians cannot support. They're committed to the idea that a few staff, not the entirety of the establishment or the epidemic political ignorance of the American electorate, was what was standing in the way of a Ron Paul presidency.
These fanatics' conclusion: Ron Paul may not only be a sell-out, he may have been against us all along. There may be ties between him and the CFR. He may be a plant in the Liberty Movement. Is he really a Christian? We need to look deeper into his past; God only knows what we'll find... apparently because he didn't allow Ron Paul to win because only He actually knows how corrupt and dangerous Ron Paul is.
In short, this is 45 minutes of the rantings of irrational sore losers. We lost folks. Most, the vast majority, who still care have long since picked themselves up, brushed themselves off and moved far beyond the 2008 PCC and into the future. There are new people coming into the movement. In Pierce County, for instance, there are several recently signed-up precinct leaders who are on none of our previous lists, we've never heard of them, never met them. However, they're starting out dedicated and willing to do what it takes to win their precincts for Liberty and change this damn country. The Pierce C4L meetup continues to get new members, even while all our efforts are focused on party-building and getting a few good candidates elected. New blood - that's what this is all about.
Let's learn from our mistakes, not bludgeon dead horses. I think most of us are together in this. ***, in a way I'm glad you pointed this out to us, for the mindset of these folks must be understood and seen as a challenge to overcome. Furthermore, we should learn to recognize the language and perspective here - they're ready to destroy everything we're building due to their paranoia, yet they call each other patriots. I don't know who they are or what they've done in the past, but I sure wish they'd focus on spreading our ideas to new people, not doom, dismay, dissension and defection to all the rest who are trying to continue the work of the last year on into the future.
****
p.s. *** and everyone else: for every thing you did and every dollar you spent, thank yourselves for having the prescience and correct ideas and values to do what you could to build what our movement will become. However, as I've said before, this is a movement - if you can keep it.

Well said...
I had my own issues with some decisions made by the main campaign staff but also understood the difficulty level of what they were trying to manage.
Good post.
Wow! Great post!
Really puts it all into perspective from one who "was there" and knows what the deal was. Thank you so much for writing this. It is such a shame that there are those who are either jaded or have their own personal agenda that are trying to derail the liberty movement. We have enough of that coming from outside of the campaign, we don't need it from ones who claim to be in it, yet can potentially do more harm than the enemies of freedom. Thanks again!

Ron Paul is a true patriot, but his campaign is another story
I agree that his campaign had to have been sabatoged. I mean for gods sake, for the amount of money thats was raised...where the hell did it all go?? On revolution radio I heard them cover the campaign expenses just for the month of January alone,...Kent Synder recieved $50,000 dollars for that month alone. Now, I don't know the guy, but for a grassroots campaign that is fucking ridiculus. And all the "official" ron paul tv ads,...come on folks, its like they were made to make people NOT vote for ron paul. Those ads werent just bad ads, they were made to look bad in my opinion. They also covered the expenses on the tv ads, just for January it was $450,000 dollars on production alone. I could have shot a better ad in my basement for $100 bucks! I was living in New Mexico, I didn't see not one Ron Paul ad run the entire time. I dont know about your state, but I can say not a dime was spent in campaigning in New Mexico. Also, they had that big money bomb to run an ad during the super bowl,...I saw they raised tens of thousands of dollars, then all of a sudden it was "oh we werent able to buy time for the ad". Somebody tell me where the hell all that money went? That wasnt the official campainging doing that one, I think that was the people who did the blimp.

I heard McLamb at the DC march and I think the guy has a screw loose. He's the guy who proclaimed that the government was putting little colored stickers on people's mailboxes to indicate who should go to the death camp and who should go to the re-education camp. It was embarrassing.

Just the facts please.
Ron Paul's Convention Speech
Everyone is willing to talk, but nobody has the facts?
Shameful!
Ron Paul's Convention Speech
The world is so screwed up
and this is a final blow. So $5million to C4L and $20million blown somewhere, leaves $10million that was actually spent on the campaign. And that is why we had such a horribly hard time spreading the message.
Who was the billionaire? What do we do now?
It seems to me that Obama and McCain have some gentlemen's agreements. They aren't attacking each other with everything they have. Other groups are doing it. Of course, I don't watch tv, so maybe it is happening and I don't see it. I haven't seen McCain bring up Obama's birth certificate or Obama McCain's, nor have I seen Obama bring up McCain's questionable heroism with respect to POWs.
That makes sence.
We begged HQ to have Ron Paul come to Alaska for just a 1 day visit before "super Tuesday", which would have given us a certain victory here.
Perhaps in 2012, Rand Paul can run the campaign, though he would make a great running mate for his father!!
And then his campaign screwed it up when we asked for Ron
to address the State GOP convention by recorded video.
Seeing the Alaska operation up close and personal (I was at AK HQ a number of times, doing phones, picking up materials, etc.) I became convinced there were some people working there (barely working) just for the paycheck. A big fat campaign warchest like Ron's attracts ne'er-do-wells, just as does the wealthy widow woman down the street, whom everyone wants to befriend in her dying days.

I have heard
Fortune Favors the Bold
the name "Linda Price" repeatedly associated with poorly run campaigns in Iowa, Michigan, and Alaska. Kent Snyder may have been in over his head, by he wasn't a saboteur. He was clearly distracted by serious medical issues.
I agree. I was unimpressed
I agree. I was unimpressed by the people the national HQ sent. Ron did well here only because the grass roots efforts. The national HQ wrote off the natives, but Ron Paul won many of the villages, especially the Northwestern ones. The only thing we can do now is learn and not allow the same mistakes to happen again. Onward with the Revolution!
www.birdforsenate.com
I think they even wrote off Anchorage!
I remember working from call lists, of so called hot leads, which actually turned out to be ancient GOP records, with tons of numbers out of service, wrong numbers, etc.
Whether it was incompetence or outright malice, I do not know and cannot say for certain. There were some good locals who worked for the official campaign, and at least a couple good guys who worked for HQ, but often worked OT and did tons of work on their own between the primary and the convention, after HQ had all but abandoned us.
I had a feeling RP would do well in the Northwest, especially since I recall there were a couple villages in 2000 that elected Pat Buchanan as president of their village.
But even though campaigning in the bush is hard, how hard could it have been to do more in the Mat-Su or on the Kenai, and yet HQ ignored those areas too.
I literally was so depressed the night after the caucus. I participated in the hand-count of the ballots in my district, right along side Loren Leman (he read them, I verified what he read was correct....imagine that, I was verifying the work of the former head of elections!), and I was so disgusted by all the Romneys and the comparatively few Pauls. It should not have been that way. I was so depressed that we could not even win this state, that PJB had won in '96. It was ours for the taking......
I canvased in the snow, and sign waved at Northern Lights and the Seward Hwy. at 30 below. I cold called prospective voters (that sucked worse than sign waving at 30 below....LOL). But our HQ did little to help. I felt betrayed, to say the least.
Sigh....it still makes me sad.

"campaign hijacked by
"campaign hijacked by homosexual NeoCon Republicans"
What does sexual preference have at all to do with this? It's nothing but a distraction from the real issues, and it's the kind of talk that is gauranteed to alienate potential allies. It doesn't matter if the NeoCons are homosexual or heterosexual. The important part is that they are NeoCons. Let's try to focus instead of being bigots.
I agree sreams! I am tired of Big Government!
It's very Big Government to be so concerned about consensual behavior between legal adults. It will alienate allies, so I must ask, what elements are introducing it into a movement that should be focused on small government? It's a divide and conquer technique, tried and true. They are called 'wedge issues' for a reason.
All true
unless it has something to do with it. The problem with sexual leanings is that sexual secrets are often used to bribe, sabotage, blackmail, etc. That isn't just homosexual, it is all sex used unbiblically can become a problem.

I don't know why they paraded the girls
I agree ridiculous. The pictures on the screen had nothing to do with the two men talking at all. Whoever put this together just put something on for people to look at. I thought he was trying to say these were all women who posed at Ron Paul girls or something, I don't know. I really consider the screen irrelevant to the subject. The subject itself needs an awefully lot of answers and imagination is often worse than the truth. Too much speculation is unhealthy. But I guess it is a fact that $20 million is not well accounted. If that is true, something definitely needs to be done about it. We have to be able to believe in somehing.
Beautiful...
THANK YOU.
Say it ain't so Joe...
but unfortunately it does explain how the RP campaign screwed up so many great opportunities. As Nevada Delegates we learned first hand about the clusterf&^k at HQ and the incompetence and negligence of many of their key people. I may post more info later but let's see how the revelations on this video play out, and yes, I know I have just opened myself up to attack for stating the truth... tough shit, I'll just have to deal with it.
Lot of pissing and moaning...the campaign goes on
It's form just doesn't fit alot of our pictures.
