yep. I've had it up to my eyeballs with the doom and gloomers. If everything's really going to be that bad, why don't we all just kill ourselves? If not, then let's promote liberty and be joyful and uplifting while we do.

I know it's crushing to know that we won't be victorious in 2008 (barring something unthinkable) but keep the faith. The good doctor did not intend this as a one shot victory, just as the first shots lobbed at the Redcoats did not mean to drive them from our shores forever.

We have to keep at this, because we know how right we are. We know what freedom and constitutional government will do for our country, and for our world. This is the right fight of our age, and we can't think that our first battle would be our last. We are fighting against overwealming odds, they have the power and now we've seen it.

Where we can go from here is on to 2010. Vote for any freedom minded candidate that you believe in for 2008, and move on. My GOP rep voted against the bailout, so he's got my vote, but every other choice I have I'll pick whatever candidate doesn't have D or R next to his name.

We have to figure out what we did right, and where we went wrong. 2010 will be a reigonal fight, so our best bet is to let the CFL guide us, and let our actions get as many like minded leaders in congress. Take back the GOP, give every neo-con incumbant a run for his career.

2010 will be our first chance for some real victories, and I assure you if we make enough waves, this movement will be an unthinkable voting block heading into 2012 and we can unseat the elected kings and install a constitutional president.

Are we willing to carry this fight to win in 2010?

I feel much the same way. You will get helpful messages saying "Join the Campaign for Liberty! Volunteer your time! Donate to the So-and-So Bomb of the week!" But the truth is I don't think the movement has any direction now; it has lost its way, and is seriously losing momentum.

I say this not to criticize, but to simply state the facts.

So much conspiracy and fear mongering. The good news is I can come here and I have all the important Alex Jones and Rense stories summarized for me and i don't have to skim through those other trashy sites any more.

What happened to this place? I'd say it peaked and is falling off the cliff faster than the U.S. financial system....of course, b/c of the new world order and space aliens.

I know it was always more about the man than the message, but the biggest thing that has happned because of Dr. Paul is a whole lot more people have woken up about what is wrong with this country. Ron Paul will continue to re-educacte the masses. That was always his mission, I think. That's one thing I never understood about the supporters of other candidates. When the other candidates speak, all that comes out are empty promises, lies and propaganda. When Ron Paul speaks, you actually LEARN SOMETHING, but I guess they couldn't see that (at the time). More and more people have since woken up and realized RP was right!

I see more posts about how bad it is that we fight amongst ourselves than I do posts FIGHTING among ourselves. The only people who seem to get a lot of fighting seem to me to be people who don't belong here at all, but hang around to cause dissension. They are pinpointed pretty quickly. People forget who they are and start something up with them, but THAT is not fighting among ourselves, it is fighting with trolls.

Every time this post comes up, actually, I always think, hmmm, wonder what I missed. Just because someone has a question that is not pleasing or a point of view that is not 75% backed up, it isn't fighting. Sometimes we are rude to be funny or not, but if a person does "not take exception" then it goes nowhere. I figure whoever jumps in first with rudeness, if it is not responded to, everyone can clearly see who the perpetrator is.

Are we only capable of rallying behind a Presidential candidate?

The real DP was filled with hope and support for one another. This seems more like divorce court where everyone is so busy fighting each other that they forgot about the kids in the room who have to listen to all the insults and accusations that accomplish nothing, but cause deeper division and resentment between the individuals involved... please don't fall for it... go do something constructive and help to influence POSITIVE change.

We are here and straying together because we must be ready to hammer Congress for the things they will try to do. We will support Dr. Paul in that way and hopefully, many of us are involved in local liberty groups and will be looking for good candidates for 2010.
