Wow, so, I respect the right for people to believe what they want, but apparently, other people here, people who I thought were for liberty, don't.
Instead, it seems that if you do not unconditionally accept and support 9/11 truth theories, you are labeled a moron, "gay," a "danger to yourself and your children," etc.
So, I don't know when the Daily Paul abandoned reason, but I have noticed a steady decline in quality over the last few months. Additionally, it's as if nobody here really practices the philosophy of liberty in their own life, or really accepts/believes it. If they did, we wouldn't have people, who are supposed to be on the same side, attacking people over the difference of opinion of irrelevant/unrelated topics. So, since so many have apparently learned nothing, here's a refresher course:

Additionally, I would just like to say, I don't believe the government is competent enough to pull off a huge conspiracy like 9/11, without something being leaked, someone refusing, etc. Do you honestly believe, there are people at all levels, who knew, and enthusiastically and willingly chose to kill their fellow citizens and themselves?
I agree, there are some sketchy facts about 9/11, but that doesn't mean that the government did it. If I've learned anything, it's that government can't do anything. I would also add that I do support new investigations.
I think 9/11 truth theories damage and disregard our arguments for a non-interventionist foreign policy. Under that belief, we hold that 9/11 was the result of blow-back from bad, American interventionist actions. Osama bin Laden admitted and explained his actions (and I don't want to hear the baseless arguments that bin Laden works for the CIA). I'm sorry, but all that 9/11 truth has given is speculation, no PROOF. The "evidence" they provide leads only to more split speculation. Proof would be witnesses, testimony, physical documents, e-mails, plans, documented conversations, and scientific evidence that is accepted by the MAJORITY of the scientific community. Now, I'm not saying 9/11 wasn't an inside job.... it certainly could have been. But with the evidence that has been gathered so far, I think that conclusion is too much of a jump, and I'm disappointed to see people here attack others over this.
Lastly, I would just remind everyone that Ron Paul also does not accept 9/11 truth theories. Does that mean he's also a moron?
And, before you post any comments, I would remind you, this thread is not intended to discuss the validity of 9/11 truth theories. It is not intended to continue to insult people on either side of that debate. It is meant to discuss the decline in quality, and the rise of rudeness.

If kerosene (jet fuel) burning in air can really do all this damage,
then why do controlled demolition engineers bother spending weeks to
carefully prepare high-rise buildings with explosive charges and
steel cutting charges when they can just use a few hundred litres
of kerosene?
Why do foundrymen and materials engineers have to use expensive
induction furnaces, blast furnaces or arc furnaces to melt steel,
if they can melt steel with some kerosene (jet fuel) which is much
cheaper? Think about it!
Why is it that engineers design motorcycle and car engine pistons
and cylinders using iron and alloy steel, if these components are
constantly exposed to FIRE AND COMBUSTIONS? Why is it that our
cooking pots, frying pans and Barbeque hot plates are made out of
steel, and have you noticed any of these melting or sagging due to
direct exposure to gas flames or air fires? Try it! See if you
can get liquid molten iron from a jet-fuel air fire! See if you
can even melt a piece of aluminium foil (melting point 650 C) in an
air fire, using as much fuel as you like, for as long as you like.
Try it! Try to melt aluminium foil with your gas stove or by using
a kerosene (jet fuel) air fire! HINT:
Jet engines are combustion engines made with steel blades
Jet engines are combustion engines that BURN kerosene, and YES, the
turbine blades and engine parts themselves are made out of steel,
with very similar melting properties to the steel used on the WTC
buildings. (melts at 1532 C)
Engineers know that steel is still strong up to 1200 C, and jet
fuel air-fire combustions do not significantly weaken steel. Even
up to 650 C, steel is still at half of its full strength, so there
is no way you can get those giant buildings to collapse at the speed
of free-fall (as if the lower materials are just as weak as air)...
This is scientifically impossible and cannot be performed
experimentally, even under controlled conditions. Try it yourself!
If you
doubt what I am saying, run the above tests for yourself and try to
create molten steel, or powderised concrete, just from kerosene air
fire alone.

It's irritating to come here, either to share information, or to gather it, and practically every post is about irrelevant topics... not that 9/11 is not important, but we're in the middle of the election, and we're supposed to be working to help people with our message get into office, but instead, more than half the board is always clogged up with silly debates about Zeitgeist, the technicalities of 9/11, or other theories in which people are convinced/paranoid that someone is constantly out to get them. I'm not saying anyone is right or wrong. I want to talk about the REAL issues- ones that I can actually do something about- like helping candidates, contacting others/politicians, etc. etc. etc. Over the last couple of months, coming here has honestly been about as bad as listening to McCain and Obama "debate" the issues. When Zeitgeist came out, virtually every thread was about it. As a result, all the good/important threads were bumped down and missed by those of us looking for real information. Either find a new place to rabidly discuss that stuff, or at least keep it to a minimum here so that others can also use this site. I'm open to other view points/ideas, but I don't want t hear about the same topic over and over and over again.

The Daily Paul has been a great forum and we all had great expectations for Dr. Paul. I still like reading the viewpoints expressed here. It's just that we don't have a candidate anymore. It's too bad, I really think Ron Paul could have captured the frustration of pissed of Americans if he would have had a professional team running his campaign, and just went head to head with the established status quo GOP Vs. DEM. This was the year! I'm not much on the fancy Rasmussen or Zogby polls, but a real polling of the people would reveal that about 80% of folks are pretty much fed up with both parties. So, why can't anybody take advantage of this?

You got me. I've been bellowing that we need a good Third Party every other post since Super Tuesday.
The movement is doomed unless McCain wins. I've figured that out after thnking about it all weekend. McCain is the only thing that is going to politically motivate this movement to get off its ass, ideologically speaking, and promote a Third Party. The War Party will simply absorb the C4L like the Borg if the notion of "taking back the GOP" is pursued.
If Obama wins, everyone will split up into camps and many will simply break off into survivalism (which is all well and good on its own merits, but I was hoping for more).

This Revolution has been wavering since Ron Paul stopped seriously campaigning.
Others tried to fill that void of leadership with other movements (9/11 truthing, Zeitgeist, Christianity, third parties, buy gold, anti-McCain, anti-Obama, etc.). I myself have tried to get the Revolution to focus on self-empowerment, but I, like all others, really don't have the cred...and thus pretty much ignored.
Basically, we are splintering...devolving...unraveling.
No one here, except possible plants here to destroy us, like it.
I ask everyone to please have the strength to be patient...we must endure this period of inaction...and not rip each others' throats out.
Again, most Americans (most people) believe in the founding principles. We only have to expose the truth that neither political party are actually following these principles. This 'enlightenment' is scary to a lot of people...for it shakes their security to the core. So we must also temper our message with the truth that the government isn't 100% evil...cuz it isn't.
There's only one key problem.
It comes down "NO CAMPAIGN".
All of us are here because Ron Paul was running for President. That's the gel that clumped the movement together, and that is the only glue that is going to hold the movement together.
If we don't unite behind a single presidential candidate, very soon, the movement is going to dissolve.
That's the truth, folks. Sorry if it's unpleasant to hear.

Too late for uniting behind a single presidential candidate
1. The election is around the corner.
2. Ron Paul purposely dispersed us to various third parties AND said to not write him in...he couldn't have more splintered us if he tried...that still bothers me.
3. The third party candidates are completely unworthy.
So it looks like we will have to wait four years to unite behind someone.
Can we last until then?
