Only good thing about an Obama win will be that people may finally see the light about the left-right paradigm. After a long history of redistribution of wealth under both parties, people still expect to see change by voting in the "opposite" party. If McCain wins, more people will turn to the Democrats to save us.

The USA has been redistributing wealth ever since the establishment of the Income Tax, and especially since FDR's New Deal.

Today the argument is over whether to leave the top rate at 36% or raise it under Obama to 39%. If I'm not mistaken, it was 39% under Reagan.

We have had the Earned Income Credit since it was proposed by Nixon and put in place under Ford, both Republicans. It was initially sold as a way to relieve the regressive effect of the social security tax on lower income earners. What Obama wants to do is nothing new.,
just more of the same.

All the arguments between the two parties over taxation involves nothing more than tinkering around the edges with principles and policies already embraced by both parties. The differences are blown all out of proportion by partisans who are intent on marketing their brand to stay in or to gain power.

The last 8 years have seen a decrease in the standard of living for most working Americans and an increase in the wealth of the richest Americans. That is a fact. What to do about it, if anything, is what the argument is about.

Both parties seem to think that the people who got us into this mess are the ones to get us out of it. I for one would like to see the government get out of our way. All this fine-tuning is really only intended to keep one or another group in the ruling class in power.

So go ahead, choose Marxist socialism under Obama or Nationalist Socialism under McCain. Good luck!

I called two of his Texas campaign offices during the primary season. I saw news reports that they were flying Cuban flags with the face of Che Guevara.

I asked if they were trying to Out-Communist Hillary. I also told them Che was know for massacres that included murdering pregnant women and children. I have family that were executed by Castro and Che and I told them it was offensive to have his picture hanging on the wall. They told me it was grass roots workers who hung it and not the official campign. Makes me wonder now.

A) Obama's base is happy with the concept of wealth redistribution.
B) With stock market excesses and Congressional Banker Bailouts, wealth redistribution is an easy sell to the 95% of the population who could use extra money.
C) There are all kinds of unconstitutional wealth redistribution projects going on right now even as we speak.
D) GOP has bought into all the current wealth redistribution schemes.
E) GOP were the original wealth redistributors with the whole 40 acres and a mule if you vote for Abe the apeman thingee.
F) Neither party has paid anything but lip service to the Constitution for decades, if not centuries.

Explain to me again why this is a bombshell. I don't get it.

Today on my way to lunch I passed a homeless guy with a sign that read "Vote Obama, I need the money."

Once in the restaurant my server had on a "Obama 08" tie. I smiled as I considered the coincidence, but had a blinding flash of brilliance as I decided to put their support to the test.

When the bill came I decided not to tip the server and explained to him that I was exploring the "Obama redistribution of wealth concept."

He stood there in disbelief while I told him that I was going to
redistribute his tip to someone who I deemed more in need -- namely, the
homeless guy outside.

The server angrily stormed from my sight.I went outside, gave the homeless guy $5 and told him to thank the server inside as I've decided he could use the money more.

The homeless guy was grateful.

At the end of my rather unscientific redistribution experiment I realized the homeless guy was grateful for the money he did not earn, but the waiter was pretty angry that I gave away the money he did earn, even though the actual recipient deserved the money more, according to the Obama Concept.

I guess redistribution of wealth is an easier thing to swallow in concept than in practical application.

[I want to see Obama sell his million dollar home and distribute the proceeds from it...or maybe Michelle could donate her earnings from one of her 6 figure jobs to the homeless...what's good for the commoner is not so good for the elite.]

I still think Obama will win even with this video surfacing. The obammunists AGREE with what he is saying.

The trouble is that I don't think any of Obama's supporters care if he is a communist, they will find a way to rationalize his position in their minds. But who am I, a lover of liberty, to have an opinion. Barry will dismiss me as just another "bitter gun owner".

need to hear this, whom do you mean? Certainly not the "average American", right? The "average American" is just that--an American in name only--an "AINO". :)

The average dope thinks this throwback point of view is a good one. They like the idea of using force to take from some to give to others. They actually believe there's a "level playing field" somewhere in the world--that magical static place where all is "fair" all the time. Suggest they may be complicit in all of this through their insistence on something for nothing, i.e., "investments" in their 401K's that depend almost entirely on companies offshoring, cutting their workforces, turning a once-great manufacturing powerhouse into a burger-flipping "service economy", etc. But the AINOs of this country will do no introspection. They'd much prefer to have their nose rings yanked in whatever direction their "elected messiah" wants...

The distribution of wealth has been occurring for some time...take from the middle class and give to the super wealthy.
