It's not up there

with tar and feathers, but it's a start.

I enjoyed the comments left on this thread

back in October when this happened : )

criminal activity

I don't see a way this criminal activity can be stopped in near future. Spray paint is still better than the gun shots.

Steve, http://www.fatbuddhastore...

pretending cowardice is high moral ground

does not make it so.
These are the actions of REPRESSED people who are trying to engage in CIVIL DISOBEDIENCE. They harmed no living thing.
Those who condemn their actions (taken on ROCKS) and preach about doing the "right thing" can be counted on to NOT stand beside us when things get ugly. The "right thing" is WHATEVER you can do to turn this around before it gets to bloodshed. These are brave heroes, they have the spray paint, they have the balls, and THEY have the high moral ground.

hear hear...you are soosososososso correct!!

I agree ..

There should be a squad of partiots that covertly travel from state to state with one intent.. spread fear into elected officials who violate their oath of office...

If we the people do not step up and defend the Constitution then our forefathers died in vain.. then also the following documents have no value...

--magna carter

--mayflower pact

-- constitution

-- Federalist papers

They should be torching the homes of the traitors who betrayed us...

To those who don't condone

To those who don't condone this. Then you don't condone many of the actions of our founders. Do you condone the Boston tea party? After all wasn't someones rights being violated? Study some history for god sakes and read some of the antics of the Sons of Liberty.

Government derives it just powers from the people, that makes the people the creator of government therefore it's master. When those entrusted with the government mantle refuse to protect the rights of the people which is their mandate and in fact violate the peoples rights under color of said government mantle it is time for the people to exercise their just powers and change the government. When the means set up by the people for peaceful change fail then it is the right of the people to use what ever means necessary to install new guards for their future liberties!

These spray paintings are non violent and just a warning to government officials and they should be applauded

Get Prepared!

WHAT IS YOUR TIPPING POINT?

I've followed Dr. Paul for a very long time. Increasingly so, he mentions the potential necessity for civil disobedience and eloquently states that it has consequences you must be prepared to face. He has even mentioned civil unrest as a potential outcome because he realizes that voices are not being heard and process access is denied.

He does not condone it, but he also does not warn against it. In the campaing he said "have fun". I haven't heard him say "have fun" lately.

Didn't he write a book: The Revolution: A Manifesto ?

Which brings me to my point: When the peoples' voice is 9,000 to 1 against the bailout and your representatives ignore the most egregious assault on our liberty - perhaps in our entire history - why can't anyone understand, even support the uprising against it?

I mean sh*t people, are you going to civilly discuss with the credit card company because they changed your interest rate to 29%? Or talk nicey nice to your kids when you don't have much food on the table because the grocery store shelves are empty? Ignore that your neighbor participated in a military disaster preparedness scenario in your neighborhood, exposing children to frightening images of the police state?

The very least you sycophants of "peace" could do is keep quiet when ATF is knocking on doors demanding guns and gold be taken away. The very least you could do is to feed your neighbor when he can't get food from the farmer that was paid to plow his crops.

If there is anything some people have learned about history is that they haven't learned from it.

Good question

What is your tipping point fellow DPers? Will it take blood shed before you say "enough is enough"? How FAR will you let them go before you fight back with more than an angry email and a threat of not voting for them?

Before it gets too late, WE THE PEOPLE need to let the politicians know that they need to FEAR the people.

Try to come get my guns. I will not let them do it. If they enter my house to remove my guns, I will open fire. That is not a threat it is a promise.

"...mankind are more disposed to suffer [...] than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed. [...] It is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security."

Rights and respect

Most people in our society don't believe in their rights nor do they respect the rights of others.
That I understand, but I thought people who heard the message of liberty do.
It seems here on DP that supporters of RP would not be cheering about the violation of someone's rights.
IF WE don't respect others rights....WE have not heard the true message that the good Dr. was prescribing.

"...We’re here today to send a message, not just to the Republican Party, not just to the politicians in power, but to the whole country and possibly the whole world. The power brokers are convinced that they can maintain control with no serious challenge. They have it wrong ! We will challenge them on all fronts - in every state and at all levels of government. Individual liberty must be our goal. Peace and prosperity will follow..." ~Ron Paul, September 2, 2008

Thank you Shawn4Liberty!

It's good to see that there are those here at this site who will stand up for the principles that Ron Paul represents.

"Time for all good men and women to come to the aid of their country"

True Ron Paul Supporters Should Not be Condoning This

In this spray painting incident that took place in Virginia, homes and many businesses were spray painted with obscenities such as "F... McCain".

Regardless of whether the sign was in support for McCain, Obama, Ron Paul, etc. - it is wrong to spray paint that person's house with obscenities. If Obama supporters did this (and no one knows at this point who is responsible), well, what does this say about the Obama supporters?

What does it say about the Ron Paul supporters who try to justify this kind of behavior?

Again, this is wrong. Has our country lost its way so badly that people will try to justify and condone vandalizing people's property because they disagree with them about politics?

It's one thing to disagree about politics

and another to steal from us, to destroy our country. How much further do you have to be pushed before American's will do more? I remember finding a site that displayed different countries reaction and protest to the Iraq war and other events. Some countries had protesters showing up in the MILLIONS. Why can't we get that in our country? Because no one wants to miss the next episode of Prison Break.

Enough is enough. It's time to have a REAL reform of our Government. Not just a fake promise by the new president elect but a real reform. If it cannot be done peacefully, it's time we take it by force. There's a reason the founders thought it prudent to allow it's citizens the right to bear arm. It's so we can FIGHT BACK and take back our country by force is we have to.

"...mankind are more disposed to suffer [...] than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed. [...] It is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security."

Wrong is Wrong!

This is from a news story about spray-painting homes and businesses that recently occurred and some comments about what happened.

I am totally against spray-painting someone's property to send a message or for any other reason. It's illegal and immoral. There is no justification for it. Wrong is Wrong, regardless of who does it!

"Twenty-five residents of a Gainesville neighborhood woke up this morning to discover their homes had been spray-painted with an obscene comment about the 2008 presidential race. Several businesses were hit as well.

“This is clear voter intimidation,” Corey A. Stewart, At-Large Chairman of the Prince William Board of County Supervisors, said. “The residents targeted by these hoodlums all had McCain for President yard signs in their front yards.”

“Having your home defaced with obscenity because of political beliefs is a hate crime” Stewart said, “This is terrorizing the community.”

It seems to me that these aren’t your average Obama supporters if they are, indeed, Obama supporters at all. Does any of the graffiti say anything about Obama, or is it just anti-McCain? For all we know, these could be Ron Paul, Bob Barr, or Ralph Nader supporters. Just a thought since not everyone out there is for one or another.

For the poster who asked about NoQuarter — we had to upgrade our servers due to increased traffic.

Should be back up and running now. Thank you for asking.

These pictures are truly frightening and I hope whoever did this is caught and prosecuted.

To be honest, I’ve seen similar spraypainted filth on places with Obama/Biden signs in the yard. Being from the North, I preferred to think the signs you show here are more of a Southern Cultural Phenomenon, but it’s not true. Unfortunately there are idiots all over and they don’t particularly support either party’s nominees. I wouldn’t read so much into it.

hello

I love when liberals are dropping like flies.

They could of

spray painted their own homes for all we know. Stranger things have occured.

the reporter spoke to US CAPITOL POLICE?

And they will work with local police?

Who are they?

Does my burka make my butt look fatwa?

capitol police has no authority

outside of DC. the only authority that have is what the county sheriff gives them.

If these people get caught

and your on the jury, remember "Jury Nullification"

and then

give them a standing ovation.

I would love to see each and

I would love to see each and every Rep and Senator that voted for the Bailout get a similar message. I think it is great!

The bailout is helping nobody except the rich

its a good start.

the whores of the elite ie prostiticians neeed to FEAR THE POPULACE.
YOU WORK FOR US SCUMBAGS. NOT THE MONEY LENDERS.

If they are made to feel unsafe in their homes with just a little spray painting done to their homes, they need to think/know that it can easily escalate to their houses burning instead, or getting hung by a rope from one of their own trees.

Until the prostitician and their pimps understand that we too know where they live, and we will follow certain BATFE procedures on how to deal with them and their rabble, then we the free will continue to suffer.

I applaud the efforts of these spray painters.

Sufffer a little spray paint to day, change your ways and listen to us

or get burnned down tomorrow and die in a
2nd AMERICAN REVOLUTION

ITS THAT SIMPLE.
bc

Yep.

It's sad when we speak and they STILL do the bidding of the elite and corporations instead. They have forgotten who they work for or they just don't care. I would say it's the latter. If I was allowed to cheat and steal on a daily basis for decades, with no oversight, why wouldn't I ( not everyone has morals ) ? We have no rule of law and therefor, no constitution. So what's a little spray paint for now.

I agree! "...mankind are

I agree!

“We have allowed our nation to be over taxed and over regulated and overrun by bureaucrats, the founders would be ashamed of us for what we're putting up with” Ron Paul

"Judge and prepare to be judged"

If someone stole $5000 or $150,000 (depending on how you recon it) from you and your descendants, does that sanction taking the law into your own hands when the thieves are protected by the police and courts?

Ah, if only Jesus Christ were here!
http://www.biblegateway.c...

"What do you think, Simon?...whom do the kings of the earth collect duty and taxes—from their own sons or from others?...Then the sons are exempt...But so that we may not offend them, go to the lake and throw out your line. Take the first fish you catch; open its mouth and you will find a four-drachma coin. Take it and give it to them for my tax and yours."

http://www.infidels.org/l...
Thomas Paine (Rights of Man) speaks to obligations of successive generations made by their parents:

"The rights of men in society, are neither devisable or transferable, nor annihilable, but are descendable only, and it is not in the power of any generation to intercept finally, and cut off the descent. If the present generation, or any other, are disposed to be slaves, it does not lessen the right of the succeeding generation to be free. Wrongs cannot have a legal descent. When Mr. Burke attempts to maintain that the English nation did at the Revolution of 1688, most solemnly renounce and abdicate their rights for themselves, and for all their posterity for ever, he speaks a language that merits not reply, and which can only excite contempt for his prostitute principles, or pity for his ignorance."

Yet, G. K. Chesterton makes a case for giving our ancestors a vote:
(Orthodoxy)
"Tradition means giving a vote to most obscure of all classes, our ancestors. It is the democracy of the dead...Tradition refuses to submit to the small and arrogant oligarchy of those who merely happen to be walking about. All democrats object to men being disqualified by the accident of birth; tradition objects to their being disqualified by the accident of death. Democracy tells us not to neglect a good man's opinion, even if he is our groom; tradition asks us not to neglect a good man's opinion, even if he is our father."

Free to act to bring about the good, constrained to avoid evil. Strict adherence to the law, to me, seems a renouncing of independent judgment, a sacrifice of one's soul to either arbitrary authority and/or popular concensus, or senseless tradition. Yet renouncing adherence to law is an arrogant claim to infallible objectivity and temptation to corruption.

Our ancestors fled their native Europe and abandoned their countrymen, as well as rebelling against tyrannical British authority, tradition and law, both in accordance with Aristotle's Orthos Logos. I think, in Rand's words, we should "judge and prepare to be judged". While praying for grace.

As the leaders go...

so goes the country.

Spray paint is mild compared to the high crimes of our government.

Lawlessness started in DC and their punishment is spray paint? I would say they got off easy.

Whoever is doing it, may I suggest it read "WE SAID NO BAILOUT"

VOTE CHUCK BALDWIN

agreed

stoking fears of china is only playing into 'their' hands....

They didnt get the emails or the voice messages

Looks like people simply tried to reach em at home.

LOL

Clever!!!

First off I want to say I love it.

second off I want to say whoever you are, make sure you tell noone, not even your best friend if you did it-that is the only way you will get caught, is if you tell anyone. It is about time someone grew some balls, speaking too myself also. I have a feeling, the more news coverage this gets, the more fuel that will be added to the fire.

Good advice

..

Clair McCaskill's house got it

D. MO voted for bailout. the local (Springfield, KOLR ch 10) news didn't show or tell what the "graffiti" was.

Too late but

since spray painting property of congress gets msm publicity, if they had spray painted urls to alternative media, it could have been effective at spreading the word rather than just creating an annoyance. But hope they change their M.O. before they get busted.

I disagree.

NO. Advertising a URL in this situation will do NO GOOD, especially if it's done by breaking the law. This will only lead to the MSM associating criminals with the advertised URL.

We want to practice what we preach, and that is good will and intentions. The best thing to say in this situation is to not agree with what they culprits did, instead, say that you understand why they did it while explaining a possible reason why they did it. That way, the opponent cannot cheap shot you and instead, they look like the fools.

I believe in non-intervention

and the Just War theory.

but anyone interested in helping me fund a pre-emptive pdubya legal defense fund? ;-)

ya know...

Interesting how the press sidesteps...

the graffiti that is obviously people frustrated over the gov't stealing from its citizens, and makes these people out to be some kind of radical religious nuts. The graffiti is criminal and should be dealt with, but the press just doesn't want to admit that mainstream Americans are getting pretty darn mad. Besides, our gov't officials have $700 billion dollars with which to clean their paint jobs, so why is this story getting so much press?

The senators that voted for

The senators that voted for it did so w/out concern they would lose their seats probably in part because after just one term, a senator is guaranteed his salary for life. That and, of course, they are promised all kinds of goodies for voting for it.

Keep it up. Im usually

Keep it up. Im usually pretty civil, but the outright actions of these politicians going against their constituents, and with big government and corporations is an outrage, and at one point would have had someone tar'd and feathered. They should be glad that all they're getting is vandalized!
Maybe they can get some of that money they are stealing from us to repaint their house.
The idea that we can "vote them out" is getting harder and harder, as these lifelong politicians often have deep pockets from their shady dealings with corruption, not to mention the bullshit voting standards.

Dont forget that this country is supposed to be governed For Us by us!!

You make some good points.

and I Used to be civil minded also.

those bastard

politicians got off easy, it could of been a bullet in the head. they should consider themselves lucky it was only spraypaint

No kidding...it's not like

No kidding...it's not like these vandals hurt anyone. Grab some paint thinner and clean it off for heaven's sake! They didn't even break any windows or locks...no damage other than the paint.

Their reps voted yes on the bailout no doubt, so these folks are getting their message through to them that it was wrong.

It takes drastic measures or civil disobedience to get message out!!!

So, it's working for them. Bravo to them for that.

Yeah that'll show 'em

Vote, ha.
Civil disobedience IS breaking the law. I'm glad they did it and I think they'll get even more as time goes by.

We may need to start a defense fund

for these people.

Spray paint money bomb.
Legal defense money bomb.

this is not CIVIL

this is not CIVIL disobedience. This is the crime of vandalism. It hits them in the pocket, but says NOTHING! Crime doesn't pay. Do something else like vote the right people in office in Nov.

"Ideas have consequences." Ron Paul

HA HA HA !!!

Best one I have heard all night. Really! Vote them out? They own the game. The game is rigged. Even if someone else steps up to the plate, they are out numbered 545 to 1. No one gets to move on the board unless they go along with the game plan. See bailout. See setup. Ask Elliot Spritzer, hell, ask JFK. Do you think they will give up their castles and wealth so easily? They work together to maintain this, while offering you the illusion of the two party system. We are in the very clutches of communism here. They know this. The time for nice, nice has passed them by.
