A GIFT for Michael from his DP Family
Well, I finished a quilt for Michael in appreciation for his efforts to keep this site up and running. Everyone is invited to take part by just bumping this thread. I will sign our names on the back of the quilt and mail it to Michael for Thanksgiving.
This is a throw size quilt and hand quilted.
The title of the quilt is: The Plunge Protection Team and a Wild Goose Chase.
This quilt was made from my fabric stash. All those left overs that you keep because you just might need them one day. I think of us as the remnants of an idea, free markets, free will and free thinkers.
The quilt has the Bargello and Wild Goose Chase pattern. The Bargello looks like a stock market graph to me and the Wild Goose Chase looks like arrows pushing the market up and down. At least that was my attempt to show. Plus, I think it describes exactly what is happening in the markets today.

I have thought about a quilt where all the DP Patriots send me a fabric square and I could make something up but I have been so worried about things that I don't think there would be time to make it happen. It is so hard to know what is going to happen next, it is hard to plan for the future. I took a chance and hope Michael gets the quilt before any October surprise.

Quilting is so representative of the individual
creative spirit, frugality, and so many other qualities that made this country great. Quilting bees showed the spirit of voluntary cooperation. It is such a great metaphor for all that this revolution is about. And I bet it is beautiful.

You gave me an idea.. quilting is a big thing here, we have quilt shows and we have historic quilts that go on tours, like any art show.. and freedom quilt.. a tour, patchwork...remnants of everything we learned.. (my gosh I learned so much.. I am humbled, and grateful).

It was exactly one year ago today that my brother sent me an email with the subject "ron paul site". I still have that email in my inbox. It changed my life. I had been a Ron Paul supporter for more than twenty years, but had no idea there were so many others who were friends of liberty.
DP has been my daily fix of sanity and I thank you for that Michael. You are a real hero and we all owe you a debt of gratitude for your hard work.

I'll tell you what though - they might not understand politics, but Ron Paul's face has definitely been burned into their long term memories.
