He said only things that made sense, and in the end the two commentators kind of laughed him off. Bizarre. I wonder how viewers with no stake in Ron Paul reacted to that?
The fat male host--don't know his name--this guy is what's wrong with America. They are like broken records, "I like what you're saying but Americans are dumb, it's hopeless, just shut up and deal with it!"
What this numbskull fails to see is that the reason why America is dumb is that it's his masters--the media--keep us this way!!! Tell the people the truth and then we'll what happens.
This guy is your typical asshole who can be found in every bar, restaurant, post office, McDonald's, and/or barber shop who has zero ambition, motivation, or dreams. There are way too many of these idiots, we need to crush them!
Peter is great, this movement has to contain some of the most intelligent and dignified people to grace America and that I have ever had the pleasure of toiling with, for our common convictions of personal freedom and liberty.
are main stream media shills. Would you expect anything less than having them defend the worthless fiat money system which has no intrinsic value. You know it's funny, both the fat guy and the pretty girl will be out of job in less than one year from now and neither one of them sees it coming! They are either blatantly ignorant or just plain stupid. Wow!
what do we expect from network, corporate media. Peter hit the nail on the head and even explained how Dr. Paul had the guts to tell the Americans the truth which implies corporate media must not be telling Americans the truth? Hmm how refreshing.
but he should not say that the Fed is a government entity...And when I hear the commentary of these wildly overpaid (forgive me) schmucks, my "evil twin" springs to life and hopes that this country and its idiot voters land hard, really hard, when the "hard stop" that's headed this way happens...That's not very nice, is it?
I love Squawk On The Street and tune into CNBC exclusively for your show.
I am writing to say that I hope you have Peter Schiff on again soon.
Based on listening to all three of you extensively, I think you agree far more with him than you think.
In consideration of inviting Peter back… against what could be considered slightly less than fair remarks by you both… please consider the following…
1. Ratings… if his “controversial” remarks get the spikes other networks say they get with Ron Paul, you’ll see that in your ratings and want more. I, for one, am a huge fan of his and wholeheartedly ask you to consider bringing him on as a regular guest. Based on my summary of YOUR extremely well-informed views, I think you might warm up to him.
2. As merely a point of fact, Ron Paul received over 1,000,000 votes in the primaries (breaking all kinds of fundraising records along the way with no corporate contributions whatsoever) versus just over 9,000,000 primary votes for John McCain. That’s not 1% Mark. ;-) --- I’ve read he got about 6% of all votes, much more in some states like 30% in Pennsylvania, and regardless far more than Rudy, Fred, even Biden, etc. Incidentally, I think you’d agree with Dr. Paul’s views on sound monetary policy more than you may think as well. Please have him on too.
3. The Founding Fathers loathed, yes loathed, the idea of a democracy calling the idea of majority rule simply mob rule. Our country is a republic, as we are reminded in the Pledge of Allegiance, majority rule via democratic elections (not the same) with minority rights guaranteed and protected above all.
4. “Gold is money, nothing else.” – JP Morgan The fiat monetary system is a huge growing issue among many of us. The idea of a Bretton Woods II should warm you both to talking more about how not backing our currency with an asset, like gold, has allowed reckless deficit spending and debt, the conditions causing a “need” for bailouts, etc..
5. Please consider discussing the Comex’s massive short position in gold and silver and the question of being able to deliver that gold and silver if called.
I hope you appreciate viewer e-mail. Again, I am a huge fan of you both… REALLY!!!! And Peter Schiff. It was odd to see my favorites bumping heads like that.
I disagree with you but I love talking with you, or, provocative if nothing else. As if Peter is just a fun little kooky clown to have on the show to get the latest fringe opinion. Then you had the bubble head saying gold has no intrinsic value, when it is the definition of intrinsic value. I would love to see these interviews with the dumb dumbs cut out.
I am trying to find their e-mail addresses. No luck on www.cnbc.com yet. Any help? These two are actually two of the better ones... normally. I say that because my recollection is that they both leaned hard against the bailout. Let's use this opportunity to "help" them out. We can. Use Ben Franklin's philosophy when you e-mail guys... "diplomacy is making your point without making an enemy." Many of us once were like these two. Who can help find their e-mail addresses please?
edit...
This might help... http://www.cnbc.com/id/15.... Go easy on Erin if you can. In spite of her odd comments to my boy Peter, I still think she's a good one based on her comments against the bailout and she's normally pretty sharp. I say let's just assume she needs a gentle nudge to clear up a couple things.

Squawk On The Street is the name of their show and it's normally not the best of them in my opinion. Again, let's educate fellas. Be cool. We want Peter on CNBC more, not less. Peter's even remarked about how they cut him back and he's on Fox more these days. This appearance was a good start and we want more of that. Think of that when you write.
What are you talking about? Erin was/is FOR the bailout! (the guy was against it) I watch that show everyday, believe me she is a cheerleader for the status-quo.
how the hell these people get these talking head jobs when they do not not know 1 thing about markets or economics is beyond me! very stupid people! get ready for the collapse folks its coming!

I do not believe I heard her suggest an AUTOCRACY...Anyway ,Gold only has value in the sense of, it being exchanged for something of need ...Right NOW exchange is done with paper notes or electronicly ..There is no need for gold at this time except as a limit on spending ....There is only, SO MUCH GOLD, period ....This is it's real value to a people whose GOV't runs wild on expenditures....LIMITS

Every time I see Peter Schiff on one of these TV shows, I just want to strangle the ignoramuses who are arguing with him. What a pack of blithering idiots.
this interview because it is representative of the misguided mindset of today's media and, actually, questions the "inherent" value of what they do for us. Instead of exploring Paulnomics, a rational approach to economics problem solving, they continue to attempt to dazzle the viewing public with their own confusion regarding economics and systems of governance.
That woman is an absolute moron! She won’t even listen to reason. Every time he counters one of her stupid claims, she interrupts with "we should just have an autocracy then" or "gold has no inherent value, just the value in our heads". I bet she's voting for (n)Obama. They are so mesmerized by their messiah that they cannot comprehend the truth. She is drowning in her own stupidity and taking others down with her.
EVERYTHING they have warned about for YEARS is HAPPENING, and yet they still maintain their cool when these IDIOT talking heads act like THEY are the all knowing elite who just tolerate "such nonsense". GRRRRRRRRR
I guess we can all take this as a little lesson in patience and commitment.

Did yall just hear her say an autocracy might be the way to go? Sounds like they're gettin us ready.
Yikes!
Peter Shiff is right on target. That lady thou... geesh what a bone head! Gold has no value?? What kinda fluff is wafting around between her ears?
just two more clowns...

You'd think these idiots would learn not to tangle with the Schiff because those that do have historically been proven wrong.
