How many of us wrote in Ron Paul?
I, like many others here couldn't bring my heart or mind to vote for Nader or Baldwin. My conscience was screaming at me that Ron Paul is the guy I really wanted. So I filled out the bubble next to "Write In" and penned "Ron Paul". I have to say that I'm very happy with my decision. I don't care about contributing to a group for wielding political power such as PAC's or whatever.
I wanted Ron Paul from the moment I heard his message. I could not bring myself to betray myself. Ron Paul is my man and I voted for him. I did not waste my vote even if I'm the only person in the world that voted for him.
I voted my conscience therefore my vote mattered. It mattered to me... and that's the only person I have to justify my vote with for the next 4 years.
Who else couldn't bring themselves to vote for someone other than Ron Paul?

Both choices were correct.
Voting third party, or writing in Ron Paul. I am of the opinion that to keep the r3volution going, Dr. Ron Paul endorsed people to keep the movement going... or run the risk of being discredited by the Republicrat party. Had he made a bigger "nuisance" (in the eyes of establishment types, not mine) he would not have legs to stand on in Washington. By having slapnuts like Barr flake out, he distances himself from the moronic fallout that was bound to come about.
As it stands, Mr. Paul will be back to Washington, and will be viewed as a man with answers for all Americans. His colleagues are sure to pay attention to him. The Campaign for Liberty will grow... but we have the obligation of carrying on the enlightened mission of the eloquent founders and statesmen. It is you and I who must restore the Republic by firmly (and with compassion) converting this nation of sheeple into patriots.
I voted Chuck Baldwin
I stand by that- I know he would have not only been a great president- but also the best man running. HOWEVER, had I known how lame the 3rd party message would be conveyed after the count- I would have written in Ron Paul instead.
Wish I would have now. Baldwin fizzled like a popcorn fart.
"We shall have world government whether or not you like it, by conquest or consent." Statement by Council on Foreign Relations (CFR) member James Warburg to The Senate Foreign Relations Committee on February 17th, l950
There was only one choice for me.
My President is Ron Paul!

I couldn't be more satisfied with my choice.
I feel proud to have voted for a true patriot. I am amazed at his wisdom and strength. In my mind no one else even comes close. I only realized after I voted that in California Ron Paul is a recognized write in candidate. I have never felt strongly enough to go on record as voting for any president before. I'm 35. I may never want to again. You just don't get a chance to vote for the right guy very often. This time I did, and I will never regret it.
Write in Ron Paul
Yes I wrote in his name
could do nothing else
i will not compromise.
How sweet it was.
When I called my Dad to wish him a Happy Birthday ( 78 ) he asked how I voted since Ron Paul was not on the ballot. I let him know that I wrote him in because he was an official write in candidate in California and my old man said, ya know I think I will do the same, the other two are not worth a bean.
Ron Paul will always be my President
I didn't want to waste my
I didn't want to waste my vote so I wrote in Ron Paul.
We did
My wife, best friend and I voted for who we really wanted in Cali it was Great! Ron Paul! Ron Paul!
I did
and so did one of my daughters ... with great pleasure. We voted our conscience. Ron Paul the greatest American of all time. We missed our chance but it's not over it's only just begun.
I was set to vote Chuck Baldwin
for President. But I read a post by one of our patriots on here who basically said he was voting Ron Paul because, for the first time in his life and maybe last, we had the perfect candidate running for President. We may never get that chance again. He convinced me to vote my heart and write-in Dr Paul here in California. Then my wife said, "We are going home with the guy who brought us to the dance" And we did. :)
I wrote in the good Doctor.
I knew I was going to a while back. I pissed my vote down the toilet... but as this "Republic" follows my vote to the sewers, I can exclaim (and loudly): Don't blame me- I voted for the restoration of the impotent Constitution of this nation, and the enlightenment ideals that the founders fought for; that Americans paid for in blood.
It was the Mcbomba voters
It was the Mcbomba voters who pissed their votes (and America) down the toilet. You did the right thing by voting your conscience.

Words of Wisdom
regardless of religion, or even lack thereof (such as myself, I relate to Diesism).
Then all the elders of Israel gathered themselves together, and came to Samuel unto Ramah,
And said unto him, Behold, thou art old, and thy sons walk not in thy ways: now make us a king to judge us like all the nations.
But the thing displeased Samuel, when they said, Give us a king to judge us. And Samuel prayed unto the LORD.
And the LORD said unto Samuel, Hearken unto the voice of the people in all that they say unto thee: for they have not rejected thee, but they have rejected me, that I should not reign over them.
According to all the works which they have done since the day that I brought them up out of Egypt even unto this day, wherewith they have forsaken me, and served other gods, so do they also unto thee.
Now therefore hearken unto their voice: howbeit yet protest solemnly unto them, and show them the manner of the king that shall reign over them.
And Samuel told all the words of the LORD unto the people that asked of him a king.
And he said, This will be the manner of the king that shall reign over you: He will take your sons, and appoint them for himself, for his chariots, and to be his horsemen; and some shall run before his chariots.
And he will appoint him captains over thousands, and captains over fifties; and will set them to ear his ground, and to reap his harvest, and to make his instruments of war, and instruments of his chariots.
And he will take your daughters to be confectionaries, and to be cooks, and to be bakers.
And he will take your fields, and your vineyards, and your oliveyards, even the best of them, and give them to his servants.
And he will take the tenth of your seed, and of your vineyards, and give to his officers, and to his servants.
And he will take your menservants, and your maidservants, and your goodliest young men, and your asses, and put them to his work.
He will take the tenth of your sheep: and ye shall be his servants.
And ye shall cry out in that day because of your king which ye shall have chosen you; and the LORD will not hear you in that day.
Nevertheless the people refused to obey the voice of Samuel; and they said, Nay; but we will have a king over us;
That we also may be like all the nations; and that our king may judge us, and go out before us, and fight our battles.
And Samuel heard all the words of the people, and he rehearsed them in the ears of the LORD.
And the LORD said to Samuel, Hearken unto their voice, and make them a king. And Samuel said unto the men of Israel, Go ye every man unto his city.

I voted for the most qualified guy
I listened to everyone who was running for president and I voted for the only one I felt qualified for the job, Ron Paul. Too bad everyone that is running, does not get equal coverage. More people needed to hear what he had to say. Guess we only have the attention span for just two.
Heck Yes, I Did!!!
Of course I did the write thing, by Writing in RON PAUL!!!! I have total peace about it. last night as all the others in the restaurants were glued to the idiot TV to tell them if a state was "red" or "blue" I didn't have to worry because I knew where I and my President stood...on the solid bedrock of the US Constitution. Long live the Reveloution!!! Ron Paul! Ron Paul! Ron Paul!
Once again here in Texas.
At about 8pm cst last night I saw McCain at 51% and Obama at 48%, in the state of Texas! I knew it was all over then. The people here are very Republican. But I wrote in Dr. Paul for President. I do it every four years. If a better and more qualified person comes along, I will vote for them.
i did
official write-in for california :)
Write in
Count me in. One here in Indianapolis for a write in of Ron Paul. Anyone here know how I can find out how many wrote him in?
I'm looking too...
I would love to know!
Couldn't
have said it better myself!
Add 4 to the tally.
I, my son, my neighbor and my boss all wrote in Ron Paul in California. I can't describe the feeling of peace I have in my heart being able to vote FOR the BEST man for the job!
Does an Obama presidency worry me? No - unlike my husband, who is just about ready to commit suicide, move to another country or both, I foresee a multitude of opportunities to educate the partisan masses on the values of liberty. I have my work cut out for me at home with this very stubborn man:)

I did
Voted for Dr. Paul in Michigan.
Obama is our new President,
Hey Everyone,
I am Joe, It's nice to meet you all and I hope that in time we can become new friends.
Yes it's official, Obama is our new President, I supported Dr. Ron Paul and spent alot of money on his campaign, This is my first time in my 52 years that I fulfilled my obligation to myself and voted my heart and not the lesser of 2 evils.
I have been told all my life that if you don't vote for the Dem or Rep you are wasting your vote. But I finally wised up and realized that if I vote with my heart there is no way my vote is wasted.
With that said, I did write in the name of Dr Ron Pail for President of the United States of America. And since it was more of a protest vote than anything else I am at peace with myself because I know I done what was right.
NOW: This is a time that we all need to come together and get behind our new President and hope that he will fix all the injustices that GW put on us.
Couldn’t even stand to get front of him.
Why get behind FDR on steroids? That makes no sense whatsoever.
I've fought for the Constitution for 30+ years (I'm not necessarily a newcomer). Many times I've been confused by such foolishness. I still fail to comprehend that brand of utter lack of reason, to be honest. But if you want to cheerfully feed the hand that bites you, have a ball.
I constantly hope and pray for the best, but the idea that we must somehow honor a potential tyrant for the sake of honoring a potential tyrant is like individually slapping each of ones countrymen in the face as well as guaranteeing misery rather than true freedom to generations to come.
I'm certainly not writing you off. I doubt any of us is doing that. I'm merely emphatically stating that getting behind Barack Obama is exactly what we should not do.
Conventional simplemindedness helped get us into this ongoing mess. Conventional simplemindedness will certainly not help us get out.

like william shatner sings.....
I CAN'T GET BEHIND THAT!!!!
Any Injustices
were the result of a weak and corrupt Congress and a public that cares more about American Idol than they do about their freedoms. They were told to 'support the troops' and give up their liberties for a little more security in the name of being good little Patriots. When those of us who didn't agree with the policies coming out of Washington spoke out, we were labeled un-American and Fringe and completely discounted.
I WILL NOT support any president that will continue this path of Constitutional Erosion and Government Growth. To request that we all just 'get on the bandwagon' is an insult and goes against all that Ron Paul stands for!! THEY DON'T CALL HIM DR. NO FOR NOTHING! Would you have preferred that he had voted in support of Bush's policies, just to maintain the 'why can't we just get along' attitude? Tsk Tsk!
Can't get behind him
I don't support unconstitutional war, welfare, redistribution of wealth, militarization of police, wiretapping, or debt based money to name a few things. It would be extremely foolish to get behind him when he supports most of George Bush's policies. Now more than ever, we need to fight harder against globalist Obama policies.

I wrote in RON PAUL
I wrote in RON PAUL here in TX. I am KICKING myself for not taking a pic of the final confirmation page with my camera-phone, showing the selections I made.
Not sure if it woulda been allowed but I could have managed it.
That would have been great to have.
Errr.
I wrote in Ron Paul today in Santa Cruz, California....
Ron got 0.3% in our county!
I did and so did my old man.
After turning him on to the Doc's platform, I received numerous phone calls from him to make sure I did it! What a guy.
And does anyone else find it HIGH-larious that Ronny P. is the only third party candidate to get more than 2% of the popular vote in a state (not to mention, in MONTANA!)?
Awesome, says I. Purely awesome.
enjoy the ride.
I voted for Ron Paul. I feel
I voted for Ron Paul. I feel very happy in doing so.
A Ron Paul write-in voter right here.
--Cliff, Sioux City, Iowa
I wrote him in! And it felt
I wrote him in! And it felt good! Yeah! I'm gonna need a "Don't blame me...I voted for Ron Paul" bumpersticker very soon haha
Ron Paul is going to waste the competition like federal money
me too
it felt good
I Did
I Did what Ron Paul did. I voted WITH him, and not for him. I voted for the best available candidate that would be counted in Texas: Chuck Baldwin.
I dont get it
I was going to give my vote to Mr. Baldwin. His message is good too, however, my precinct didn't give me that choice. I was only given the two evils and no thrid party. I still dont understand that. How is it that many had the option to vote for Chuck but others didn't?
I did
and then the electronic machine lost it because the electronic machine is programmed to lose it.
Tell the truth, eventually they will get it.
I am pretty proud of my family
Most of my family were Bushies in 00 and 04, but I got to them this time. My grandpa followed my lead and voted McKinney. My mother went with Baldwin (abortion is her issue), my aunt went for Nader, and my grandmother went for Obama. Definetly a blow to the GOP.
Dr. Ronald Ernest Paul here
Dr. Ronald Ernest Paul here in NH
I had to write in Ron Paul
I had to write in Ron Paul even with the stupid provisional ballot I was forced to use even though my voter reg and drivers license all matched and everythign was correct.. People selling out their values is what got America this messed up in the first place. This country is disgusting right now...how blindly the masses toil for the elite and thank their new savior will "change" everything. Things will change alright.....let the surfdom continue
write in
I wrote in Ron Paul. I initially voted for someone else who was on the ballot but as I went down the list I kept going back to it, and I knew I couldnt do it, so I asked for a new ballot and wrote him in. He was the only one who had the right answers.
2 here
my girlfriend and I had to, for the same reasons as you stated.
How many? Well, all of the
How many? Well, all of the dumb@sses who don't have the brain cells to do what the "Good Doctor" told you to do, uh, like "don't write me in" and "I am endorsing Chuck Baldwin".
but....uh....
i didn't vote for chuck because i don't get behind chuck.
so.....who's the dumbass again?
Some people go with there
Some people go with there heart and can't help it.
But when is it not ok to write Ron Paul in? 20,30 years from now?
If he's not a valid candidate than why bother,it won't get counted.
And if it's not counted then it's like you didn't even vote. You could have stayed home instead of wasting time.
A vote for anyone but the "2" is better then a wasted vote.

Voted for CHUCK BALDWIN. Write in wasn't an option.

I had Nader, Baldwin, and Barr on the ballot.
