Note to Turncoat Former Ron Paul Delegates

After thinking more about it, you all are right and I'm wrong. That's what I get for speaking about something I don't know very much about. I also didn't think about all the hard work other folks did to get the delegates to the convention ... only to see it blow up in their faces. So ....... I'm with you.

If not for our blood, sweat and tears. (and Money) I worked my ass off getting signatures, worked the polls all day. Don't give me you weren't there.
We were all there, without us you wouldn't have been there. We worked for you to vote for our candidate Ron Paul. He was absent from the RNC convention because they made sure of it. You knew what you were elected to do. Be our voice. You failed.

Our next delegates need to grow a pair, if they are going to play with the big boys or next time stay on the porch. When I think of the shit Dr. Paul went through for us and our country and these bastards sell him and us out if you flipped for McCain you should NEVER be a delegate again.

I can't believe I am hearing people defend those who defected to McCain...is that correct? I mean, I'm not sure I'm even hearing this correctly--maybe I misread it. Do we actually have a movement so brain dead now that people expect to be thanked for betraying Ron Paul?

just say a big thanks to people who have done WHATEVER THEY CAN for the cause of liberty. I appreciated your account of what it was like at the RNC, Michael. It isn't always easy, and I thank anyone what has done one little thing, or given one little minute, or has donated one little dollar ...............

For anyone who criticizes the delegates ...... did YOU do what it takes to become a delegate??!! Did YOU fight in the trenches at the state conventions. and etc and etc. Whatever YOU did, I'm grateful to you, too, for what you did. Let's just appreciate each other, and cheer each other on ... that's how we'll collectively get STRONGER. The strong aren't always strong, and the weak aren't always weak .... remember that.

To anyone who actually got through the process and made it to becoming a delegate, just for that effort, I am proud of you. We each need to find our role to play and sometimes we learn by trial and error.

May we all accomplish what we can and support one another along the way.

To be a delegate even more as the party machinery was full force on many with dirty tricks. Even using the law and police as tools of harrasment.

The Republican (neocon) Party as we now know it is finished. Ron Paul is invited to CPAC 2009 and John McCain isn't. The neocons are about to get booted out and replaced by us. Ron Paul, as usual, is brilliant in his vision. He knows exactly what he is doing. The Republican Party takeover will give America the change it really needs.

...to criticise any delegates at the convention because all of them were placed in an untenable position by the Paul Campaign. They joined up to support a candidate who, by the time the convention came around, had no campaign to speak of and had taken himself out of the race despite the pledge to carry on, spending every dime contributed for that purpose, till the convention.

Yes, the convention was a fiasco but place the blame where it belongs -on the leadership not the foot soldiers.

As a former Ron Paul delegate whom did not get a chance to go to the national convention, I can tell you that I am not surprised.

Too many people want to be on the "winning team", and nearly at any cost.

As a a RP delegate at the county and state conventions in Washington State, I can attest to the fact that the GOP openly broke the rules; etc, but what I can also share with certainty is that many so-called Ron Paul delegates didn't have their whole heart in the cause of freedom anyway.

I haven't ultimately decided, but it occurs to me that if you're playing a game, and the other side cheats, you can only appeal to the referee.

Except what I have seen is that the refs are helping the cheaters.

It makes no sense to play a game you cannot win.

So I think you the reader already knows what I haven't decided.

However, I want to make perfectly clear that I am *not* encouraging anyone to give up on the cause of liberty.

The inconsistencies are jarring, and I know with all my mind and body exactly which local elections were stolen.

I'm weary. Good luck to you all that still cherish freedom, yet please pick your battles carefully and recognize when there's no way to win. What I wish for anyone to take away from that is not to be defeatist or to give up, but to not waste time on things that the status quo will not *allow* to be changed.

Please focus on the areas where their gaze is not directed on. Take them by surprise.

We always knew we were right, now use the shell of the party to get the Freedom message out to the masses. The GOP leadership everywhere has zero credibility.

Here is NV, the GOP lost big time! Congressmen Jon Porter lost! State Senator Bob Beer "Mr. Gavel" lost! Also another GOP State Senator lost because of the State Party's corruption.

There ARE reasons to be angry. I think we Ron Paul people take way too much in stride. We just respond nicely to all the CRAP that gets thrown at us by the Republican party, and the fascist media. And nothing's going to change, UNTIL WE GET FUCKIN' ANGRY.
