My mom started Handmade
My mom started Handmade Quilting when she retired. She was a lifelong sewing person. She took a class at the local fabric shop. and started there.. There is a specialty fabric store she goes to now that specializes in quilt making supplies and fabric. I am interested on your quiltingsando. Have fun!

your mom is very talented and once you get the sewing bug it is hard to cure.
LOL I am bookmarking all these great sites people are posting. This is what is so great about the DP everyone contributes. I have learned so much here and have discovered so many new websites from the DP family.
My sister-in-law is very talented and she made something that inspired me to want to try quilting. My dad died and I was worried about mom. My parents had been married 53 years and their wedding anniversary was coming up. Mom was cleaning out things and had dad's old Navy Sea Bee uniforms, I asked for them.
Well that was my first quilt made out of my dad's WWII uniforms. It was a big hit with my mom I thought when she felt lonesome it would give her something of his to hold on to. It was a lap quilt. Anyway, that is how I caught the bug.
