CommitteesofSafety.org will host this year’s Boston Tea Party event. Committees of Safety is a grassroots, not-for-profit organization, founded on Independence Day 2008 by Walter Reddy. Walter had been very involved in the Ron Paul movement since first meeting Dr. Paul at the New Hampshire Liberty Forum and house party in February 2007. Walter also attended last year’s Boston Tea Party, and is now a precinct leader in Connecticut for Ron Paul’s Campaign for Liberty.
Bob Dwyer, also a passionate supporter of Ron Paul, is now a precinct leader for the Campaign for Liberty in Massachusetts, as well as a county organizer for the Committees of Safety. Bob helped organize last year’s Boston Tea Party and is a key organizer in this year’s event.

Committees of Safety has been building an infrastructure from the grassroots up, and now has 30 county organizers in 16 States, with members in 23 States. Our goal is to have a Committee of Safety in each of the 3,068 counties across the country this coming year. We are a non-partisan, educational, and strictly constitutional lobbying organization. A key goal is to get to know local State representatives and State senators on a personal basis—encouraging them to join county committee meetings where the focus will be on how to draft State statutes to revitalize the Militia along constitutional lines. Last year’s Tea Party was FREE because of the generous donations from highly energized Ron Paulers.
This year’s event is counting on the small donations and ticket purchases to fund this event.

The Importance of this Year's Boston Tea Party 08
Boston Tea Party 08 is not only going to be a fun, uplifting, and inspirational event for all attendees --- but it is also somethng more.
There are only about 600 tickets left -- and they just went on sale a couple of days ago!
It is the launch for the Committees of Safety that are working with state legislators to implement sound money in the states, and revitalize the Constitutional State Militia, as envisioned by our Founding Fathers.
Dr. Edwin Vieira, perhaps America's foremost constitutional scholar (also top of his Harvard Law class), will be giving an important address about these subjects with impeccable historical documentation and logic.
Dr. Rand Paul himself will also be a main speaker, and all confirmed attendees await his message with anticipation.
The other speakers are listed on the Speaker page at www.BostonTeaParty08.com -- (a few special guests are in the process of being confirmed).
So act now before the hall is filled. For those who cannot travel to Boston, or who don't act early enough to get in the Hall, -- the organizers have arranged a nationwide webcast through which you can both participate and support the event.
As the new administration prepares to take office --- SEND THEM A MESSAGE! Support this event, and come if you possibly can. You will be glad you did.

Like the idea and like the site. (kind of)
Great idea and the mission is clear (to me with some research) but I fear that you are catering to a smaller audience than we need. The mission needs to be more clearly stated on the site and the video on the homepage needs to be changed. The election is over and Dr Paul did not win. Why is he the main focus on the video? It needs to come from a different angle if it will do any good.
Those of us that visit this site daily get the message but that is not what must be done. This event and the message it intends to spread must be one that the masses can hear. I would love to send this link to all of my friends and family but I will not send another link that "appears" to be all about Dr Paul.
State your mission and the reasons for the 2008 Tea Party and people will listen. You need more about the Committiee for Saftey and their goals on the site. I had to do my own research to learn what they stand for and the values they hold dear.
Don't make it hard for our fellow countrymen to figure out what it is you are pushing with this event. Most of them feel the same way but just can't break free. They are constantly bombarded with emails for different causes and spam.
Don’t let this site be just another forwarded link that everybody ignores. Make sure they tune in and give them a reason to give support the effort.

Implementing a Sound Money System
is the main theme for this years Boston Tea Party. And your right about the video. It is a great video, so we've been editing to make it relevant for this year.It should have been done already. Sorry. We hope to have it done by tomorrow. As for our fellow countrymen..... I know the masses like to think in sound bites, like "End the FED" but it's a little more to it than that. We also believe this will be accomplished faster at the State level than at the Federal level. Anyway, THAT is what will be discussed at this years Tea Party.
And another thing....
Spend some money on the web site for the Committiee for crying out loud. Are you trying to make it look like some kind of BS crazy site?? This is the year 2008 is it not? My 10 yr old could build a better web site than that POS.
If you want to be taken seriously than maybe you should act serious. Just a thought. Sorry if I pissed anybody off but come on!

Secure HTTPS IS setup!
The online processing and information does use https and is secure. When you go to enter your credit card information and personal info, the information is being redirected to our credit card partner, which is encrypted and hosted on compliant systems. Even if we were to install a signed certificate for https on the teaparty site, it does not make it compliant for processing transactions. There are guidelines for processing online transactions (read up on PCI compliance) that most online merchants do NOT adhere to (most pay the fines because the fines are cheaper than the price to become compliant). To avoid the complexities with this compliance, we pass you off to the credit card partner, authorize.net, who is PCI compliant.
If you go beyond the "Confirm Checkout" page, you will notice the processing is https protected. I have recently secured credit card processing systems for a major retailer, if you have any additional questions.
Ok fine ...
I set up my secure pages so people know they are in secure mode by checking if their browser padlock is in fact closed. As long as people accept the warning pop-up that I get in IE6 and IE7, you will be fine. Maybe add a little note to users, so they don't have to wonder what the pop-up means. I understand how the page was built now and why the padlock does not appear.

First I would like to say thank you from the bottom of my heart for “curing my apathy” and helping me to find my new family of Patriots. Over the past 18 months, I have met and worked with some of the most amazing people in this Campaign for Liberty.
In Massachusetts we are building a strong network and keeping the energy alive to continue forward as we inject the freedom message into the hearts and minds of all we meet. We are making inroads within the State GOP, which is in a very weak state here in MA, so we are looking pretty good. Our efforts during the April caucus were very productive as we gained 22 delegates and alternates to the RNC.
The people of Massachusetts and New England are passionate about the freedom message and are taking action. As the calendar has turned another page in what seems like the blink of an eye and also an eternity, we are nearing that historical date of the famous Boston Tea Party where the grassroots raised over 6 million for your campaign.
This was a national effort and here in New England we felt it our duty to provide for a memorable event. The Boston Tea Party 2007 at the historic Fanueil Hall was a great success thanks to the presence of your son Rand.
We would like to make this year’s event even better. On Sunday December 14th we have secured the lease of the Fanueil Hall for the Boston Tea Party 2008 speaker event.
The theme will be how to restore sound money, as the speakers will offer the nuts and bolts solutions to replace the failed system that now enslaves all Americans.
Our speaker line includes Rand Paul, Dr. Edwin Vieira, John McManus, James Jaeger and we are awaiting response from Chuck Baldwin, Michael Badnarik and several others.

There is no doubt that our Country is going to be thrust into hyper-inflation and then a depression never seen before. Regardless of whether you believe this has been done purposely or not, we're entering dangerous times. Homelessness, joblessness, and starvation will increase dramatically and crime will escalate as a result.
With Bank runs predicted as early as February and the expectation of tax revolts in the next year, it is imperative that counties around the Country organize to provide for the safety and security of our communities.
The Federal government does not have the personnel or economic resources to provide the services needed to support and defend every community in the nation. The Federal agencies cannot even handle one city at a time as experienced in New Orleans(Katrina) and the latest in Galvaston and Houston.
The founders realized this which is why, even before the actual legal creation of our country under the Articles of Confederation, the Committees of Safety and Militias existed as far back as the mid 1600s.
Our Federal government is operating completely outside the authority "We the People" delegated to it and the continuous increase in Federal encroachment into the States has to be halted and reversed.
Committees of Safety is THE beginning to our getting the control back into the hands of "We the People". THIS IS THE MOST IMPORTANT EFFORT WHICH "WE THE PEOPLE" SHOULD BE SPENDING OUR TIME!!

Correction, it is ONE of the ways to get the corporate US under the control of the people.
To control these criminals and take our counrty back we need 2 things.
1. Re seat the original jurisdiction government, via LAWFUL elections (the election that YOU just voted in is UNLAWFUL according to the 14th amendment. By doing so, you participated in rebellion). http://www.teamlaw.org/Government/usmap.htm AND http://www.teamlaw.org/HistoryOutline.htm .
