Survey: Where Do you Get Your Gold & Silver?

I think many Daily Paulers who maybe inexperienced (like me) with purchasing metals could learn a lot from the information. Can you please provide links of online sources or other sources where you would recommend purchasing Gold/Silver from? Thank You.

local coin shop

I'm paying well over spot, but at this point, I really don't have much choice. I don't really trust the internet and I'm not buying directly from the government.

Unfortunately, it took a long time. And it will take longer now.

I got 20 silver dollars. A modest security, but better than nothing.

You might want to try getting gold and silver jewelery locally. It's easier.

locally

only at local dealers

OK This probably sounds like it takes me

an hour and a half to watch 60 minutes, but how can an inexperienced gold/silver shopper tell if what they are buying is genuine?

If you are unsure about your coin store,

go there and start with buying junk silver (pre 1964 U.S. silver money like dimes and quarters). It will be real. You can also buy low premium gold numismatics (old circulated U.S. money, like $5 gold pieces), sort of like "junk gold" which will be real.

Also, if a coin shop has been in business in a certain location for many years, and is run by the same owner, it is probably legit.

Who wants to know,

the IRS?

Some things are best left unsaid, because they are no one else's business.

I'm not asking you where you hide it

just for any sources you would recommend. I do see your point though, so I guess maybe I should have put a if you feel inclined in my initial post.

ah, yeah, okay

buy from a local coin dealer. Avoid buying online if at all possible.
