I like this guy -- can we keep him? ;)

I first became aware of Senator Inhofe
when he was mentioned favorably in JBS' The New American magazine.
He is good in opposing
He is good in opposing illegal immigration, pro-secure borders and anti-amnesty for illegal aliens(like Ron Paul), but what sucks is, didn't Inhofe vote for CAFTA?
Sen. Inhofe of OK seems to be...
Okay.
One hell of a severance check for
Mr. George W. Bush. Do you think him and Paulson split it fifty-fifty?
This is good
I like him, too. Too bad the American public is too busy watching Dancing with the Stars to listen to this guy and realize their savior obama voted for the bailout.

I wouldn't object. Did you
I wouldn't object. Did you see Inhofe vs. Gore? lol
"I tremble for my country when I reflect that God is just, that His justice cannot sleep forever." - Thomas Jefferson
He's the only oklahoma politician I voted to keep...
And I like Tom Coburn's record but for some reason unknown to me he voted FOR the bailout. Inhofe voted against it and gained my confidence. Coburn has gained my confidence through a series of votes against spending, but then he goes and votes FOR the bailout...what gives?
.
.
OK is now on my list
My list of states that have some COMMON SENSE still left.
We need more people like this to stand up and vote like Americans.
Corporate welfare is just as bad as social welfare. You get what you pay for
The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants
Paulson Lied
The plain truth is that Paulson and Bernake lied ( we all knew he was lying through this whole matter ) and so essentially he ( they ) knowingly stole the money from the people, disrupted the healing process that is so needed, and therefore should be imprisoned for life!
Why not get cells for Bush and Cheney and the rest of the gang, side by side so they can all bash one another as to why they are all imprisoned!
Nice thought huh?
What stupid, stupid, stupid people we have calling themselves our representatives who voted against the will of the people who are obviously much wiser than they! Barf!
" In Thee O Lord do I put my trust " ~ Psalm 31:1~
Time to bring out... The
Time to bring out... The Stem Cells! Bringing truth and justice to our American way of life!
.................
Truther?
No, sir!
Nice tie
Where can I get one?
This should be
on digg. He makes sense on this subject and we need to get this out for others to see.
But he's from Oklahoma
He's not important because he's from Oklahoma. We're only supposed to listen to Senators from New York or California, or so the media tells me. Kansas is also supposed to be one of those states that we aren't supposed to listen to.
You mean...
We're only supposed to listen to Senators from New York or California, or so the media tells me.
That would be the media headquartered in New York and California, right? B-)
I have to agree
with Oksupporter down there," we make due with what we have" and how many do we have introducing legislation to reign in this bailout?
There are a few other vague points mentioned but, we're not electing a president, this is about the bailout and Inhofe did not vote for it and clearly does not agree with it..
Here is the link to the text of his speech and the s 3683 link is there too.

you can keep him...
you can keep him on a short leash with a ball gag.
don't be fooled, this guy is bad news!

“We have allowed our nation to be over taxed and over regulated and overrun by bureaucrats, the founders would be ashamed of us for what we're putting up with” Ron Paul
I say we......
use this face saving attempt by congress to our benefit. Let them try to do the right thing for once, then we still throw them out. I get the feeling you will see more support by Congress against the bailout as they try to salvage their careers. Congress knows they messed up, they now know they messed up while people were actually paying attention. They are running scared. Welcome to the hotseat, enjoy your stay in prison.
Alreay emailed my Rep, Sue Myrick
She's probably getting tired of hearing from me every day:
"Thirty-one House Republicans sent a letter to Paulson and Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke, asking them to stop using federal funds to save private firms.
"These massive federal bailouts have exposed taxpayers to literally tens of billions of dollars of new risk," they wrote.
Among the letter's signers were Reps. Tom Feeney and Connie Mack of Florida; John Doolittle and Darrell Issa of California; Jerry Moran of Kansas; Jeb Hensarling, Louie Gohmert and Sam Johnson of Texas; Virginia Foxx and Sue Myrick of North Carolina, and Thad McCotter of Michigan.
"Government can't just continue to put the taxpayer on the hook for paying for everything," said Myrick, who has one of the strongest records of voting against federal spending."
Does this mean we can expect a public apology for not representing your constituents and an admission that you were wrong and that you will fight to stop the bailouts and end the Federal Reserve and government intervention in the so called free market? Doubtful!
Excellent point, techn0logic,
I hope we can get people to pay more attention and get the rule of law (our Constitution) back.
Get back half of the $700Billion Bailout! But you must act quick
Email your Senator ASAP and tell them to pass this legislation presented by Senator Inhofe. Thank you... this revolution has just begun.

Let's not start thanking Inhofe yet...
The Senate-originated bailout bill is unconstitutional (all appropriations bills must origininate in the House). It's clear from Inhofe's voting record, he has little regard for the Constitution. Let's see how far he gets in stopping his fellow Washington criminals on this one.
"Let's not start thanking Inhofe yet..."
Wasn't even remotely considering it....

Thanks for pointing this
Thanks for pointing this out.
Article. I Section. 7 - All Bills for raising Revenue shall originate in the House of Representatives; but the Senate may propose or concur with Amendments as on other Bills.
S.3688 - A bill to provide for additional emergency unemployment compensation, to amend the Emergency Economic Stabilization Act of 2008 to authorize loans to automobile manufacturers and component suppliers, and for other purposes.
This bill will not raise revenue

Ah-ha! Very good, Bob-45!
And thank you JeffD for quoting the article and the bill. You guys are very sharp. We all need to sharpen up our skills in this regard.
"This Much Is True: You Have Been Lied To". Dr. Ron Paul
I found it very interesting that he said Paulsen called them on
a conference call back in September and was telling them how urgent all this was but would not answer basic questions about how it was going to work - it was just "I need the money and I'm not going to answer any questions or be held responsible, just give me $700 billilon NOW!!!!". Really unbelievable, and they do this stuff by phone? It's not even done in a professional manner! Unbelievable how they operate.
he will have to have a new
he will have to have a new line next time my best quess is it will be "give me 7 billion dollars by monday or god is going to kill me".
He makes sense!
This man makes a lot of sense, which can only mean one thing. His bill will fail. Seems like the only way to get something passed on Capitol Hill is to come up with an ambiguous and nebulous bill that includes no oversight and gives power to people who shouldn't have it.
So much for the Republic.
Being an Oklahoman
Up until the bailout I thought Senator Coburn was Oklahoma's better Senator. But after this vote I was happy to vote for Sentor Inhofe's reelection!
He is one of the most conservative Sentors, but not necessarily libertarian. I suspect he disliked the huge amount of money, the lack of oversight and the rush of that bailout.
Oh good,
I was hoping Oklahoma would chime in.
I was reading his biography and although not a perfect match for the revolution
he does have some good values and a freeze on the Bailout would be a good one.
As others have said he is
As others have said he is much better on fiscal responsibility and econmics than he is on personal liberty and the war. Our ballot access laws are the most restrictive in the nation and write-ins are not allowed so we make due with what we have.
I dont think we want to....
Inhofe voted for the Authorization for Use of Military Force Against Iraq in Oct. 2002.
Inhofe was one of nine Senators who voted against anti-torture amendment
Voted YES on loosening restrictions on cell phone wiretapping.
Rated 20% by the ACLU, indicating an anti-civil rights voting record.
Voted YES on increasing penalties for drug offenses.
Voted NO on requiring FISA court warrant to monitor US-to-foreign calls.
Voted YES on reauthorizing the PATRIOT Act.
Voted NO on allowing another round of military base closures.
Inhofe may be good on economic issues - but he's not one of us.
“I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies. “ - Thomas Jefferson
I don't put too much stock
I don't put too much stock in what the ACLU says, they would slam Ron Paul because he is for secure borders, opposes illegal immigration and opposes amnesty for illegal aliens and is for returning the citizenship clause of the 14th amendment back to its original intent(no automatic citizenship for children of illegal aliens born in this country). So for those reasons alone(not to mention other reasons), the ACLU sucks. Ron Paul is right on those issues, the ACLU is wrong.
hey it's something
gotta start somewhere right? congratualte him for making a good decision, others will follow suit. things get done in small increments.
-----
Stock up, it's gonna be a long winter.
Lets start a contact bomb
to our senators, see if they will listen, send your fax, email, phone, snail mail, in person. See if we can get them to support the freeze on the bailout. I've called and e-mailed both senators and my congressman. Toll free to congressional switchboard 1-866-220-0044
How's his voting
How's his voting record?
