You might want to screen the video clips before you show them to your friends to make sure there wasn't any cursing added by the editors. I just quickly threw it together.
so I checked out some of your posts. I'll take time tomorrow to read some.
It appears to me your posts are intended to inform and create value.
So many here are negative intended to "scare" people.
Things are not great, but we must live our lives today and not hunker down expecting the worse. Things have been going on for decades, and any number of "unknowns" can throw a wrench in the best laid plans. Don't count out the "good" people, for if there are enough, we can change outcomes.
Again, I appreciate your assistance - you went above and beyond!
Have a good evening. I'm in NW PA so, it's time to wind down.
When I find a topic that might be useful or enjoyable, I tend to park there and work on it for a while. The search feature on this sight is useful because many of the questions that come up have been discussed in other posts. It's just a matter of putting the different pieces together.
I think it's healthy to focus on what you can do instead of what you cannot do. I'm only responsible for my actions, the results I leave in God's hands. Be thankful for what you have and what you are able to do.
There are many people who contribute to the positive atmosphere on the Daily PauL You might want to check out fanowalt's post, The Good Stuff.
Here are a few of the posts I enjoyed making. I watch them whenever I need a break.
I used to take a lot of time composing, informing, and creating value for other posters, and those posts just fly by w/o barely a peek!
But, if a post is controversial, it stays around for a day or two! When trying to create value and encourage positive solutions on those posts, they just get argumentative - which takes more valuable time.
I prefer the positive posts but seem to have missed some good ones. I spend too much time posting when I should be producing value elsewhere.
I, like you, am responsible for my own actions, and with God's grace, I grow and they improve each new day.
Live our lives, and leave the rest in HIS hands - only HE is in control.
Are you from Australia? Couple of your posts reference info from there.
Most of my posts go right by as well. Many of my topics have a niche audience and don't lend themselves to much discussion which is ok with me. They are not topics that create a lot of debate. Just because people are not commenting does not mean they are not using the information. What I'm trying to do now is to cross-referrence the important posts that relate to each other. I'm trying to think of the best way to put other peoples' useful links at the end of my own post in a "Related Post" section. That way the the best info can be networked.
I sometimes also put some of my posts in the tagline. I try to do it without spamming. You don't want a tagline which is too long. Sometimes I will adjust my tag line to the topic I am commenting under. My goal is not to generate a lot of comments but to provide info that I have found useful. If a good discussion results, then great.
True, everyone can contribute in different ways. I'm still learning (mostly from others) a bit here and a bit there.
I'm not from Australia but a lot of good information I have found comes from the Australians. Bill Mollison, the co-founder of permaculture, is from there. Also, Peter Andrews has his own system of natural sequence farming. I believe Geoff Lawton is British but he lives in Australia.
and a great attitude of continuing the education in other ways.
Did you see my post under the 401k & IRA possible confiscation?
Other times, when I post links to enlighten people about their thoughts on investing and money, I am accused of promoting some sort of 'money scheme". They obviously don't read the links and just assume.
Here are a couple utilized by myself and people with whom I currently do business. Our thoughts on investing have been controlled by bad advice and by myths with which we grew up.
I am thinking of working, part time, for an insurance agent and financial planner, but only if we are on the same page regarding these very important issues. I interviewed him as much as he interviewed me. I want it to be a win-win - not just a job. I gave him a copy of this book: LEAP http://www.leapsystems.co...
When he is done, I will loan him this book: (I personally know both authors):

Thoughts and ideas like these require a paradigm shift, and not everyone is prepared.
I hope I created value for you and anyone else reading this post.
I read some of it & bookmarked the rest for future reference.
I found your comments under unltimatecynic's post. I don't doubt that they will take the 401ks. About five months ago I read Jim Roger's book "Investment Biker" and the more recent book "Adventure Capitalist." One of the things I found interesting was the similarity in how governments behave when the economy gets bad such as the types of laws that are enacted to slow down the exit of capital. It's interesting to learn the different signs he looks at when trying to judge the attitude of the government.
that on 8/8/08 on the opening day of the olympics that georgia invaded those cities in its own country that borders russia and, in doing so, killed hundreds, if not thousands, of innocent civilians before russian troops came to the aid of those citizens in those cities (who just happen to like russia more than georgia (imagine that?)...
don't you find it kinda funny (weird) that as people all over the world, en masse, stood up and REFUSED to believe the msm "whitewash" that tried to blame the initial aggression on russia that they (the msm) mysteriously swept it under the rug, onto the back page, so to speak! (Oh shit, this ain't workin', they said, get rid of it!)...bastards!
O Captain, My Captain, rise up and hear the bells!
The reason I want the links to actual articles/reports is because some people don't believe it otherwise. MANY still believe everything they report on the news and by the president et all!

I'm putting together a fews links.
Georgia was the aggressor.
I followed this indepth. Georgia was the aggressor aided by (unhappily) the U.S. via CIA, et al.
