Ron Paul was not nominated nor did he seek Leadership Role in House

While I was at work today our Congressman left a message for us saying he appreciated our recent letter to him after the election. He explained that "they had their reorganization meeting yesterday, and he knows Ron Paul well and that he's a really solid guy but that he was not interested".

Has anyone heard who ended up in the top spots in the House?

He no doubt tho he would be able to do a better job where he is.

I'm positive the other position would have been a major step backward for him.

My reasoning sounds pretty reasonable to me.
Secret key to happiness: Stay happy. Shhh!

Ron Paul is pro-life in general

In this case it's more specific----his own.

funny... unfortunately.....

this is true... :(

"Ron Paul Answers Your Questions, Part Two"

"Q: Will you run for a leadership position in the House Republican caucus?

A: I have no plans to do so. I don’t cut deals and trade votes, which is exactly what a role like that requires."

I love his response on global warming, just think about how much emissions he would cut by scaling back our military empire. The Pentago uses more fuel than any other non-nation group in the world. And to think how great it would be to run our cars on hemp. He is the best choice to combat global warming naturally.

Yes, I can understand his thinking.

I just hope the House has learned from the first bailout fiasco not to let the Senate bully them into voting a certain way. If Dr. Paul wants to work behind the scenes, that's ok with me, too.
