What Changes Should we Make to the Curriculum?

Abraham once said the what you teach in school in one generation will be legislated in the next. I believe that one of our biggest problems today is the books in the schools. I went to public school most of my life but in high school I went to a private school. A lot of the kids that went to that school was failures from other schools and it was their last chance to graduate. Even so over half of our class was made up of failures becouse our books was far supierior we still did on avarage a hundred points better on the SAT's than every public school in the area. So I was wondering what we could do and should do to change the books?

Take social studies for instance. They are teaching kids about the world and how that gets allong when the brat cant get along with the brat sitting next to them. I suggest that that class would start off reading the book how to win friends and influnce people by dale carnagie I also suggest everybody who is proliberty get that book.

What about math and history ect... what should we put in these classrooms?
