Gallup excludes Ron Paul from 2012 election poll
Gallup polled Republicans and Republican-leaning independents to ask who they'd like to see run for president on the GOP ticket in 2012 -- but they omitted Ron Paul from the available choices.

Yes, unbelievable
they also do not include Mark Sanford, Gary Johnson or Tim Pawlenty, but they do include Lindsay Graham for instance!
Wanting to like someone run does not necessarily mean one will vote for the person/politician. Palin will remain in the news in the short term, but IMHO she will be mostly more ignored doing her work as governor of Alaska.

I just sent them a message !! IF ANY OF YOU LIKE/LOVE DR PAUL
THEN YOU MUST DO THE SAME!!!
Here is a copy of my letter...
RE:Recent GOP Poll-You list every single Republican except the one who GOT OVER 15,000 Republicans to travel to his own convention in St Paul! He is congressman Ron Paul! Why did you leave him out? Did your "editors" tell you to? Dr Paul trounced Guliani in polls, Fundraising and results! He came in 2nd in the NV Primaries ,and spoke at our NV State Convention. Unless I hear from you, I will urge our group to put adds condemning your actions in major newspapers. We're part of The John Birch Soc., AIPAC, NRA and 100,000+ members who will be alarmed at your attempt to marginalize one of the finest Politicians , since JFK, Lincoln, or Jefferson. Looking forward to your reply and apology. Sincerely, NYR

This might sound bad/sad...
This might sound bad/sad... but unless we were to make ourselves super organized right now in all precincts and basically had significant influence over the party (starting within our own local areas), I don't think we'd have a chance if Ron Paul or another candidate like him ran in 2012.
After seeing how things worked this election, we've learned that money, organization, and connections, not passion or a good message, get you elected. I guess that's not surprising... but I feel like if we don't take the C4L seriously and give it our all, then we're already screwed.
By the time of the primaries I don't think Iraq will still be an issue... at least not as big of one... and if it is, it will be run by Obama/the democrats, and Republicans will probably not want to go back to it (I hope). I feel like Iraq was the main issue the main stream Republicans rejected Dr. Paul. Still, as a campaign we can't really compete against the establishment with simple tools.... which is why we have to get organized.
When I think back to the primaries I think about all the time I wasted waving signs when I could have been canvasing door to door, talking to voters, or attending GOP party events, making my views clear... If we do/waste our time like we basically did this last year again, then we'll loose. You could have $50 million for a primary campaign, but if you don't do anything but wave signs, or don't use that money to organize and be persistent and convincing to voters than you're doomed.
And furthermore, I sort of doubt people are committed/sensible enough to get organized and do what's necessary to win. It just seems like we all waste a ton of time doing practically nothing.... for example, the internet is an amazing tool... but doing online polls, talking online, etc. are worthless.... Using the internet to raise money and organize is helpful, but eventually you have to get off line and get out on the street. It'd be better to see zero people here on daily paul, because then we'd all be out working.... but again, I sort of get the feeling people will just do the same things again.

Well, I hope your "plan"
On December 7th, 2008 motorgrader1 says:
...local Ron Paul organizers controlled their memberships thereby actually suppressing and eventually killing the momentum of the movement, wittingly or unwittingly, by refusing to unite while the Revolution was at peak numbers and enthusiasm. My voice joined the few others who yelled .... "Unite NOW. Now is the time or we will lose the momentum." No one listened just as no one is listening now. It was short-sighted, a grievous tactical error, and either deliberately traitorous by allowing self-interest to interfere with the good of the Revolution or total ignorance to the Parliamentary System that saves countless hours, increases effectiveness but more importantly it would give the Revolution form, not top-heavy structure, but a form of order that would have drawn representatives from all other groups to UNITE...
Let's get busy organizing to
Let's get busy organizing to win our precincts.
