I have been trying to resolve in my mind environmental concerns with the solutions that the austrian ecomonists say a truly free market would provide through private property rights and the privatization vs. social ownership of natural resources. I've heard the austrian case that the largest pollutors have been governments and that private property rights would provide the best vehicle for addressing this problem. I partially agree with this but I still think there is something lacking. Then there is the other level of the corruption and politicization of words such as environmentalism, privatization, free market, sustainability, etc. The environmentalists seem lack an understanding of what a true free market looks like so they tend to be socialists but I'm not sure the austrians have a complete understanding of the problems with the environment either. Granted, I'm still in the early stages of learning austrian economics so I'll reserve judgment for now.

Speaking of healing foods. I tried Amanita Muscaria or Fly Agaric recently. Oven dried then brewed into a tea. I think I may have lost some potency due to the oven drying method but a tea made with 4 medium sized caps I thought to be very therapeutic. It took about I'd say an hour and a half before any noticeable effects occurred. I made the tea with Chai and honey. It's not great but it's quite tolerable.

It's said that Muscaria can be hallucinogenic but this doesn't seem totally accurate. It can mess with your vision somewhat but to see fairies and gnomes well that's all fantasy. You definitely don't wanna drive on the stuff but I can assure you it's quite safe if you understand what the word dry means.

I read stories of people finding mushrooms, "cleaning them up", "drying" them for 10 minute before eating them and getting sick. Well, dry does not mean dry to the touch it means absent from water. You cannot dry a mushroom in 10 minutes, period. It take no less than a day and a half of constant dry warm air being applied in a confined area. Even if you do them in the oven like my first batch it takes a solid 12 hours in the oven at 170* with the door cracked and you still have to re-dry them before use.

About an hour in it can make you feel a little noxious but smoking a little herb is suppose to cure that. I guess it works.

Anyway, it made me tired and it made me sweat a lot and I mean a lot. The experience reminded me of an indian sweat without the ceremony. If I ever do a sweat again I will do it with Muscaria. I was able to sleep on it in fact I never slept better and the day after I felt rejuvenated and somewhat internally clean as I have after an indian sweat.

The new batch was hang dried like how I imagine the ancient shamans doing it. I hung them up like Christmas ornaments and expect this batch to be better.

I'm weary about upping the dose but that may be the only way to unlock another dimension. So far I've been alone and don't wanna try unless I have someone grounding me to this dimension.

Other things I recommend this for would be sore throat. This a very low dose cure. You won't notice any psychoactive properties. Anxiety, I never felt anxious and at low dosage it can leave you feeling like your ready to meditate. Medium dosage is where I'm at now and like I said it's a good sweat. How you apply this is debatable. It could be good for detoxification I don't really know. I am curious about use in the summer because it made me sweat when I wasn't hot. It also made me slightly insensitive to heat. Now was it the sweat keeping me cool or something else. I would argue that it is a combination of both.
