20,000 Troops Coming to Patrol the Streets of the U.S.

Most of these will be combat troops.

Could this have something to do with the Russians stationed in the Caribbean? And then there could be a false flag attack saying that the Russians attacked us and then all hell breaks loose? Unfortunately, I predicted small regional conflicts (in each continent) and this would lead to one major event (possible war) that would take us down the road of hell.

They could have 100,000 stationed here. If it gets even slightly out of hand that's what the Second Amendment is for. Always remember there are far more of us than there are of them, United we stand, divided we fall. A law is only a law if someone obeys it

If something evil does come out of this remember the group of guys who ran down to the bridge to confront the Redcoats with their RIFLES and started this country on it's way, they had enough too. The constitution let's you know it's your duty to confront a tyrannical government.

It says that the U.S. military...expects to have...20,000 uniformed troops.

It doesn't say the 20K troops are U.S. military troops. It just says that our military expects 20K troops in the U.S.

Later in the article (which is worth reading in its entirety), it also says this:

If funding continues, two additional teams will join nearly 80 smaller National Guard and reserve units made up of about 6,000 troops in supporting local and state officials nationwide. All would be trained to respond to a domestic chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear, or high-yield explosive attack, or CBRNE event, as the military calls it."

How handy; they'll be ready to respond, just in case something like a radiological or biological attack happens. *Whew* I feel safer, now!

Texas Militia Field Exercise & Meeting Saturday December 20th

We are having a Texas Militia Field Training Exercise and meeting Saturday December 20th at 8am on private land in the Teague, TX area. We will be camping out there that Saturday night and continuing the FTX Sunday morning but you can go home Saturday night instead if you need to.

We will have live-fire.
Bring your rifle, pistol, web gear with full combat load (you need to be able to carry at least 6 loaded magazines on your web gear), Bring your camping gear also.

Training activities will include marksmanship, patrolling, and maneuvering.

Our goal is to increase militia combat readiness and to increase participation in all Texas Militia units.

All militia groups and fire teams that come to the FTX are to maintain their militia unit command structure.

I notice this article didn't talk much about the use of "non-lethal" weapons by these forces like the original ArmyTimes article.

I guess the Wash Post would rather emphasize the humanitarian aspects of their mission.
And people might wonder why they would be using "crowd control" and "non-lethal" on Islamic terrorists.

The answer is, of course, that they wouldn't.
Those weapons and techniques are meant for us, the American civilian population.

But only if we get "out of hand".

One could see that the people would be boxed in by government,the military,local law enforcement and the courts.This would happen slowly to not upset the masses and to have them conform easily.

Boy, just can't believe the mileage the Bush Administration is getting out of 9-11.

Government may seem totally incompetent when it comes to protecting the interest of the average person (Katrina for example), but when it comes to their primary interest, themselves, they will spare no expense.

They know what is coming, I know what is coming, and so should you.

We are approaching 1776 or 1861. This is yet another sign to read which tells what road we are on. You generally smell the smoke before you see the fire.

The prediction of a crisis followed by nation threatening conflict is detailed in "The Fourth Turning." Their timetable for the conflict is 2020, but this is based on 80 to 90 year patterns and the violence could easily erupt anytime soon. The financial debacle created by the fraudulent, predatory debt based monetary system is just beginning. You might not be interested in doing anything now, but wait till you are unemployed with no prospect of a job anytime soon, your bank account and retirement funds is wiped out, and you are cold, hungry, and afraid to leave whatever shelter you have for fear of being robbed by fellow citizens in similar condition.

Add in the prospect that we are at the end of the industrial age for lack of energy to fuel it, and there is nothing but economic contraction in the future as far as one can look. Just face it; you young people drew the short straw when it comes to the date of your births.

When civil disorder (war, revolution???) comes nobody can avoid it and you will be forced to take sides. There is no hiding; no burying you head in the sand.

As much as I admire Ron Paul and those of us who value freedom highly, I think efforts to change the system peacefully are futile. The tide is more powerful than our ability to swim against it, and getting less than 5% of the voters agreeing with us should tell you how powerful the tide is.

I am not advocating civil war or revolution; I am observing where I think we are in history and I think hindsight will show me to be more or less accurate.

I guess we have to wait more than two months and let the Washington Post prod us before we notice this assault on Posse Comitatus.

Excuse me for being a little miffed that my original post of September 30th didn't elicit a sticky or even much comment.

These are active-duty, combat trained troops deployed on our soil.

These are not 'stationed state-side' troops.

Their deployment is within the united states. Start calling your useless representatives and have Posse Comitatus reinstated immediately. They won't listen but at least they'll know we're onto them.
