Naomi Wolf say "F--k mass media" glenn beck

Naomi Wolf gave a lecture in Berkeley. There must have been at least ten of us Ron Paul supporters. It was a little difficult to hear everything because of distraction (with so many people) and the acoustic did not help. I don’t remember exactly what was said but it was something like this. One question had something to do with the mass media.

Her respond was something like “F--- the mass media” the Democrat try to organized an anti-war movement and needed money to organize. They talked about asking George Soros for money. (Frustrated expression) “ the Ron Paul people raised 4.3 millions in 24 hours” applaud!!

It says a lot about us, that she used RP supporter as an example of not needing mass media or super rich people to support a movement!

We met her outside; she was very, very nice to us. I told her that neo-con Glen Beck called us RP supporter, Terrorist. Her expression was terrified, for a lack of better word. Maybe after reading her book, I will not think of Glen Beck as funny in a stupid way. In any case, let us all boycott advertisers on Glen Beck show. I will start by canceling my Geico policy and all other company…

I saw her on O'reilly yesterday

She didn't get a chance to explain any of her ideas...I think they baited her into saying Bush was like Hitler...then just interupted any logical explaination from there.

Do you think?

Do you think something could happen here in the USA that resembles what happened in Germany in the 1930s?

How could the Germans have gone along with the Holocaust?

How could the Jews let it happen to themselves without violent resistance?

Cultivating Nazism

The key psychological factors in cultivating the Third Reich were internal unrest, anger, insecurity, and a sense of desperation amongst the populace of Germany. This was spurred on by an acute urgency to nationally recoup after the devastation of WWI.

The history of anti-Semitism is a long one. The fraternities and cults of Germany drew solidarity through anti-Semitic convictions. Many of Germany’s politicians and bourgeois class were members of these fraternities. Thus, there was much support in the upper class for the actualization of an anti-Semitic movement.

In addition, the Anglo-American elites from both Britain and America funded the military production of the Third Reich. They did so because Germany which existed in central Europe and had been experiencing an industrial boom since the mid 1800’s was pursuing an alliance with Russia, and such an alliance would facilitate a power greater than Great Britain’s, which allied with France currently had the upper hand. Obviously, this exchange of power had to be diametrically opposed by the ruling empire of G.B and America.

In conclusion, psychological desperation, upper class elitism, and political scheming from abroad all facilitated the holocaust tragedy.

The racial hatred combined with nationalistic desperation, from my perspective, isn't present amongst the greater populace of The United States. Our issue is complacency and apathy. We’re numb.

Don't forget....

the Warsaw ghetto. A few jewish guns held back the nazis for more than a month. This helped inspire my sig line/store motto:

THE MORE I LOVE MY GUNS

So to answer your questions directly;
1)Yes, and I believe it IS happening here in the US
2)Germany was full of 'good' Germans=nationalistic pride
3)Too many trusted the sensiblities of their neighbors, and let 'the others' worry about their fearless leader.
Or at least that is my take on it. wrk

paraphrase

Someone wrote a response a few days ago that went something like this:

Hans? Oh, he's a good boy. I've known Hans for years. He would never hurt us. Hans works hard on the dairy farm, he's a good boy. My daughter likes him. If Hans says that they're taking us to a safe place, that's probably true. I trust Hans. He's just doing this for the good of the country. When this all blows over, I'm sure we'll see Hans again on the dairy farm. He's good with cows.

Help with CNN

http://www.cnn.com/feedba...

There's the link. Please use that form to contact CNN and ask them to provide Ron Paul with as many tickets to the November 28th debate to give away as they intend to give Rudy Giuliani, Mitt Romney and Fred Thompson.

Ron Paul is no longer a 2nd tier candidate and deserves just as much respect as the others.

Great Idea!!

The auditorium is important, people are just starting to pay attention, so we'll want as many of us in the stands as possible.

Nothing to see here

Real story is Vince, he is always so happy, always so calm, so willing to talk, I have great respect for him and I can confirm everything he says, I was there. Ron Paul supporters are good people.

love

I LOVE Naomi Wolf. Anyone else see her on The Colbert Report? Here's a link, click on her icon to see the interview: http://www.comedycentral....

Let's Fight these fascist bastards!

Down with Fascism! Glen Beck needs Paxil and three Valiums up his nose just like Rush druggy doggy Limbaugh!

Take friends where you can find them

Always take friends where you can find them. Build a freedom coalition of Patriots. No two patriots will think alike or believe the same thing or agree for the same reasons. It does not matter, we need warm hearts and minds and bodies in this battle for the Republic. Make friends with left leaning civil libertarians everywhere. Sure, they may wish to raise the minimum wage, regulate this or that, but its all secondary now. The battle is for following the Constitution, for the Republic, for our freedoms.

I agree

The John Birch Society supports the American Freedom Agenda Act from the right (conservative, whatever)

The American Freedom Campaign supports it from the left (liberal, whatever)

The reason she was terrified

The reason Naomi Wolf was terrified is because she knows what happens to terrorists in this country. Haven't you heard?

Terrorists can get thrown in the brig, at the sole discretion of the President: solitary confinement for 3 years, no lawyer, no habeas corpus, no appeal, no nothing. Glen Beck is simply paving the way to shape and change public opinion to brand Americans as terrorists.

We absolutely MUST fight back on this one.

Ms. Wolf has written an excellent book that we all should read: The End of America. She is terrified because what Beck has done is part of the 'blueprint' to fascism. It had been done many times before in history, and it is underway right now in this country.

Here is *part* of the blueprint: Glen Beck declares us as terrorists. Then the arrests and tasings, and website shutdowns, and prison sentences without recourse begin. The rest of the population doesn't care, because they're afraid of terrorists. They want terrorists to be thrown in jail and silenced.

It is a very slippery slope, my friends, and we are on it. We absolutely must fight back and expose Mr. Beck for what he is doing and what is going on in the country.

This post needs to be front page

Exactly as it is as a response to the first post. The reason why this kind of thing is happening is because 'the people' do nothing to stop it! What can we do? Surely there must be more we can do than contact advertisers?

I would like a well crafted e-mail - well crafted like that new ad that is going to go into USA today. One that I can send to everyone on my e-mail list, regardless of who is in my contacts. I'm NOT afraid anymore, being afraid is what is causing this kind of thing to go on uncontested.

Please help. Someone who has good writing skills. What else can we do? Anyone who is very good at writing want to take up this challenge? I'm sure I'm not the only RP supporter who would be willing to send a powerful message to everyone on my contact list.

An "e-mail bomb" if you will

everyone send out on the same day to everyone on their contact list. Everyone in the US needs to know what Glenn Beck is REALLY doing and what Naomi has been warning about.

Her C-SPAN interview

Did anyone see her interviewed on C-SPAN by Viet Dihn, former Bush administration guy and co-author of the USA PATRIOT Act? She completely owned him.

It's a great interview. Wish I could get my neocon family members to watch it.

Naomi Wolf is a very pretty socialist.

She doesn't understand the link between personal and economic freedom. I don't think we can count on any support from her other than her agreement that neocons are bad.

Naomi Wolf is a Patriot

I had the pleasure of meeting her in Boston, when she spoke about here book, 'The End of America.' Her political views may differ from Dr. Paul's in many respects, but in the most fundamental way, she is in perfect agreement: "We need to get back to the Constitution and restore the rule of law." That is a direct quote from her mouth. I heard it myself.

What do we know about her, except what we've read in the MSM? And what do we know about the MSM?

The key to the powers that be (PTB) in keeping the people weak and disempowered is the same old strategy: Divide and conquer.

To say that 'we cannot count on her for any support.." etc. is wrong. We can count on her for the most fundamental support of restoring our republic, and restoring the rule of law. Once that is secure, we can go back to the false left/right bickering if we so desire. But in the mean time, we have a much larger fight on our hands, and that is for the continuing existence of the principles that make our country great, and it is something that I think all Americans can agree on: The Constitution and the rule of law.

Read her book and you will understand. We are fighting for the same thing.

Michael Nystrom

You're right, and I didn't

mean that she should be dismissed out of hand or never spoken to. She's an ally, but in much the same way as the Soviets were an ally against the Fascist powers in WWII. She may have a '1991' eventually, but will it happen before Election Day '08? I don't know that the chance of that is any higher for her than for any other Hillary supporter. (I'm only guessing she's for Hillary, since she worked in the Clinton & Gore campaigns.) Perhaps I'll read her book and try to engage her in some kind of dialog, but at the moment I have other stuff to do.

not completely true

She would be a powerful ally when it comes to civil liberties, free speech, and moving away from a police state. She has street Cred with the liberals.

In my view, Civil Liberties and the free flow of information (essentially freedom of speech and freedom of access to communication technology) is an essential prerequisite to economic freedom.

Give her time - didn't we all need it?

Did you vote for the neocons from Bush the elder, through Gingrich/Dole, through Bush the younger?

She has discovered why the second amendment was important. The rest of the economic freedoms will come in time. She, like we are seeking the truth.

I would prefer her over Bush or Cheney, Rush or Hannity, or many others I could name - she at leasts has a soul.

Sometimes the best person is one who seeks the truth, not someone who assumes they've already found it. And she is an ally. I would hope she at least support Kucinich (whom Ron Paul suggested as an alternative to himself), but give her a few more weeks to break years of habits and she might endorse Paul. I might even watch for her name on the next moneybomb day.

Glenn Beck is not funny..

Glenn Beck is dangerous.

agreed; Beck is not funny now

He's smiling, but what he's saying is very unwise. Horowitz is even worse. I don't like the way my brain feels when I hear this kind of thing on the air.

Let's get back to Ron Paul.
