My girlfriend is a wonderful woman, but she is not a Ron Babe. She is generally apolitical.

I had a socialist girlfriend once. She was a union organizer in fact. We had some great chemistry going. But I swear everytime she opened her mouth it was to opine on how some person or business wasn't managing their affairs right and how they should do this and not do that. She knew what was best for everyone else to do with their lives and property and would have been happy to be able to force them to do it. She lived and breathed the motto underlying socialism: "I know better than you what you should do with your life and property."

We broke up, obviously. Too bad. Great chemistry. Bad programming.

The thing I like most about Ron Paul Babes is this: They totally understand the concept of "my money is MY money and her money is HER money" :) :)

What's more important to me is that someone is willing to engage me in a good conversation. If you're a socialist, and have well reasoned arguments for your positions, and are willing to defend your points when asked, you're ok in my book. I may disagree with you (strongly, in the example I gave), but that doesn't mean we can get along just fine.

You could just try to make it work with a liberal or neo-con, but you will only be able to avoid the subject until the day you have to decide on a homeschool curriculum and that's too late. Apathetics are wild cards and might still go neo-con or liberal on you.

Don't feel bad I am in a relationship and She doesn't even care. As a matter of fact She acts like nothing is happening with the economy even though I am working more and more.
