Democrat asks Supremes to halt electors
After President-elect Barack Obama and the Democratic National Committee let a Dec. 1 deadline slip by without responding to Pennsylvania attorney Philip J. Berg's petition for writ of certiorari demanding Obama produce a legitimate birth certificate, the attorney is now filing a motion to stop Obama from taking office in January.
Berg has filed an emergency motion for immediate injunction, America's Right blogger and legal writer Jeff Schreiber reports. Berg is asking the court to stop state certification of electors to keep the Electoral College from meeting Dec. 15 and casting votes for Obama. He is also seeking to postpone the official vote count Jan. 6 until the court reaches a decision on his appeal.
Burg goes to say;
"If they (the Obama gang) were going to respond, I get the feeling that it would have been in there by now," Berg told Schreiber. "The feeling may be that, if they respond, they could hold themselves out for perjury later on when we're successful. That's why, in the lower court, they just relied on a motion to dismiss based on standing. Here, they may not want to file an actual, specific response in the Supreme Court for fear they'll be held to it later."
If you have not signed the above petition to require Obama to produce his birth certificate, please do so. There are presently over 133,500 who have signed it.
Final thought: It is clear that Obama has total comtempt for the US Constitution!

What is a "first round pledged elector"?
There are no "rounds" in the electoral vote. Every elector gets one vote for Pres. and one for VP. Then they send the votes to the U.S. Senate. The President of the U.S. Senate then opens and counts those votes, which process is witnessed by and certified by the Senate body. Then, a winner is declared: whoever has 270 electoral votes wins, one candidate for Pres. and one for VP.

If this happens, can anyone not foresee great contempt from the right and the left for the Constitution opening a door to "the new form of government" we have been told to expect soon. Kissinger recently said we would "demand" it.

the electors are free to vote for whom they choose (likely, in exceptional cases, in all states). Given these electors are Democrats, their most likely choice will be ... Hillary Clinton, which is why Berg (and his mentor Ed Rendell) are behind the original suit). I vastly prefer Obama to Hillary; nonetheless, someone has gone to a GREAT deal of trouble to foist Barack Obama on us; there must be MUCH more at stake than meets the eye.

the only thing i can imagine is that obama hasn't taken the bait of the cabal and therefore really is(in his own way) for the people and this is why. i mean- why else? there has been no constitution for so long and for this to make any difference, i just do not see it.

I don't want anyone in public service -- not even as dog-catcher -- if they view themselves as being personally exempt from following the Constitution and obeying the law.
For Pete's sake, if Obama actually worked at being an effective US Senator, instead of just posing, the pertinent Constitutional issues could have been aired and resolved long ago.
He's a wise guy, a trouble-maker, and a cheat. This totally avoidable fracas is Obama's funny ha-ha way of showing contempt for the American people and for all that is holy.

There's no good outcome however you cut it.
1) Bush stays---arrgggghhhhh

For example...what is the downside to The Supreme Court ruling against Obama? I'll tell you what...Bush stays in office. Then what happens? can you even imagine the social unrest THAT would cause and be fueled by the same people that stay in office.

Not really. Look at the scenarios.
1. Electors vote Obama and then he's declared ineligible. Under the 20th Amendment, Biden becomes President.
2. Obama is declared ineligible before Electors vote. Then ???. That's the unknown.
IN either case, Bush is gone Jan 20.
Then admit your lack of fealty
to the Constitution and be done with it.

civil unrest is not enough, Compleat upheaval is what is needed.
This is a much needed Catalyst to wake up the rest of the sheep. The populace at large is to ignorant to uneducated to realise they are sinking when its so gradual, they need the plummet to realise they are doomed unless they act now.
At this point in my honest opion bloody unrest is nearly unavoidable and as much as I would like to avoid people being hurt or dying, if i had to choose between the status quo or civil war to see things fixed I would take civil war at this point.

I don't see why Bush would remain in office. It is the task of the Electoral College to select a new president. They are not bound to Obama though though the fecal material would likely impact the propeller if he is eligible and they selected someone else. If he goes away as a choice, he goes away.

If Obama is not allowed to become president- who is going to take his place? Joe Biden? McCain? I understand the constitutional reasons for being concerned about his birth in this country or not- but in the end I think it makes little difference as the problem with our government is not that we have a lack of officials who were born with US citizenship- but how the entire government operates, period. I think more effort towards other endeavors on limiting government power would be more productive- my two cents.

The Courts have ruled over and over again again, "where fraud is involved, all is null and void!"
The Supreme Court will more than likely have a very extensive written opinion on this one. The Court will likely rule the entire electro process for 2008, null and void. And order new elections to be held within 6 or 12 months from their ruling.
I think their ruling will severely chastise the DNC and the Democratic Party for their silence in this matter. And they might even take a swipe at the Main Stream News Media for their incompetent and negligence role in failing to report any of this to the public.
Who knows, maybe the Court will show some real balls for a change and order the Main Stream News Media (all publicly licensed air waves) to provide free airtime for new debates. And further state that the owners of these Media Moguls including their employees may NOT participate. That all candidates from both parties, along with all third parties candidatges who were on at least 40 of the 50 State Ballot’s be allowed to attend these debates.
No matter what, if the Court rules against Obama, it will have great negative connotations for both the Democratic Party and most black politician’s in general for years to come, maybe decades.

Well I'm very skeptical of the idea that if the court rules against obama that this will suddenly open the road towards more airtime for new debates with third party inclusion. If new elections are to be held- will Ron Paul or someone like him be running again? Or are we going to be limited by the choices we had in the previous election?
In the end though- I'm thinking that the status quo will be maintained and the courts won't do anything. The bailout passing after being shot down the first time due to people complaining to their congressmen seems like proof enough to me that our government won't care what stands in the way of what they intend to do.

This attorney Berg is an astute and accomplished attorney, who has argued other cases before the US Supreme Court prior to this one. He's knows what he's doing?
If the Supreme Court rules against Obama, all issues of this case will unravel. The DNC (Democratic Party) will fall apart at the seams!

This does not include the suite before the California Supreme Court brought by Allen Keys, a black Republican Presidential Candidate who is asking the Court to block California's 50 electoral votes from going to Obama until after he's produced a legal birth certificate first.
This entire issue is getting soooo big right now, and nothing from the MSM.
The issue at hand is truly a constitutional one. If the US Supreme Court chooses not to address this issue, we will all know that all blanches of our government have abandoned the United States Constitution.
