Ron Paul -Texan of the Year
Dear Daily Paul Texans:
If we can't get together and send emails to the Dallas Morning News in response to their request for who they should pick as Texan of the Year, then who will? the email is at the bottom and also comment on their article on their opinion blog. It would be so wonderful if they picked him, but they haven't gotten many RP responses. Thanks for helping and please send this on to your liberty minded friends and other RP forums.

Who cares?
Are we going to do this again? We just got through trying to get Ron Paul on the list of inductees to TIME's "Person of the Year". As I recall, some Paulian actually went on the Person of the Year wiki and typed in Ron Paul's name for 2008 ahead of time.
If the editorial board people at the Dallas News are smart enough to realize Ron Paul is a great Texan, they will come to that conclusion on their own.

Dear Dallas News,
Please enter my vote for Dr. Ron Paul for Texan of the Year. Although I'm not from Texas (WASH STATE), Dr. Paul has had a huge impact on my life and many I know. I attended his "Rally for the Republic" in Minneapolis in September. It was probably the greatest 3 days I ever had.
The things I have learned from Dr. Paul's historic campaign for preside4nt are worth much more than a college political science degree. Thank you Dr. Paul.

This post was addressed to "Daily Paul TEXANS". So if you're not from Texas, you shouldn't be voting! Daily Paulers, where is your integrity?
No matter how hard we try to change America for the better we will not succeed if we act as dishonestly as the crooks who are in control now.

They are burying Ron Paul comments
He is shown at the bottom of the list of nominees, without his title. Not "Dr. Ron Paul" or "Congressman Ron Paul". Most of the comments are for Dr. Paul, but you have to scroll through the first page to get to them : (

I think the new comments are added onto the bottom. We were not aware of it until it got rolling and therefore we are coming up at the bottom.
I objected to the comment that his supporters stuff polls. An editor wrote me back and said that in no way violates their rules of service. I wrote him back and told him he had no need to respond to my objection except that he wanted to tell me my objection was overruled which makes it look like he enjoyed the obnoxious comment which in no way nominated a person to fulfill their purpose. And I told him that WE don't STUFF polls. We respond when we know of one and that makes the poll successful. Stuffing implies that we send more than one response and we don't.
Edit: He responded again to my email and suggested I post my comment on the poll. I told him no because that continues the argumentative tone that I am objecting to in the first place. But at least he was more sensitive and said he agreed with my defense of Dr. Paul's support.

I sent in my nomination for RP and received an email from an editor asking for my name and hometown in case they want to use it in the December 28 edition. I'm from Nebraska, so that might not be good, but I took it as a sign the good doctor is at least being considered.
I wasn't sure if a California patriot could vote in the Texan of
the Year contest, but I guess if it's okay for Nebraska, it's also okay for California.
