Dick Armey pushing Flake and Demint

I will never forget that Dick Armey spoke out against the War in Iraq in 2002 when he was getting ready to retire from Congress. Currently, Dick Armey is pushing Flake for House Appropriations Committee, and Demint for Senate Finance Committee.

Does anyone think that Flake and/or Demint deserve our support for these positions? Obviously, the GOP is not going to support Ron Paul.

Two years ago...
I sent numerous packets of Ron Paul information, bio-books, palm cards, bumper stickers, etc. to Dick Armey at his Washington D.C. address. I sent the same materials to ALL of his staff. After three solid weeks of mailings done two days apart in order to have a greater impact neither Mr. Armey or his staff got back to me about Congressman Paul. I have no tolerance for Mr. Armey or his staff.
Flake voted for the Patriot
Flake voted for the Patriot Act. I imagine the same crew who blasted Barr for doing the same wouldn't support him.
Later Flake backed away
Later, Flake voted against appropriations for the Iraq War and the Patriot Act. Barr didn't change his mind on those issues until he lost his seat.

You can see he voted for the Patriot act both times as well as voting for the Military Commissions act.
Anyone who voted for the Patriot Act is a traitor.
I tire of people trying to downplay an act of legislative treason. No person who voted Yes on the Patriot Act has a decent place in American government.

UPDATE: DeMint not so much. Looks like he's fully on board with the "War on Terror", voted for FISA, etc.
Flake
Flake voted against the No Bankers Left Behind bill. If I am not mistaken, he has also been a member of the Republican Liberty Caucus.
