I never criticize Ron, but come on! Get on the plane and get there for us. I watched all day wondering why your seat was empty! Stop going off on your soap box and rambling during these hearings and ask direct questions. Make your point by asking them questions and making them look like idiots. I am starting to think Ron has the gift of gab. He needs to be like Columbo and ask some questions to these idots.
Sorry for the criticism, but RP has taught me to be a straight talker.

Ron Paul just spoke briefly but smartly as usual.
He mentioned he would not approve any more taxpayer funding of any sort. He reminded them that the money system of extending credit will ultimately fail, and that the devaluing of the dollar will be much worse than extending bailouts! Now he's talking again. Get rid of bad debt. Pick up the good assets.

Ron also made a great comment about Congress wanting to oversee the carmakers. He said if they couldn't run the companies properly, then Congress certainly could not do it! I love his quick responses.

I am actually glad Ron Paul wasn't elected.
Don't shoot me!!! I am glad that Obama gets to be the fall guy for all these messes. He is inheriting a mess too big for 4 years to even come close to fixing. When things are even worse, maybe, just maybe people will wake up and demand real change. Hopefully people will be waking up by the middle of next year and start getting involved with helping those of us who see some of the many things that have to be changed to get this country back to being free and prosperous again.

I share your optimism and hope people will start getting educated in basic economics. It really isn't that hard. Free markets work best. Always have. Combine free people, free markets and sound money and you get peace, prosperity and limited gov't. Pretty much what we had in America for the first 150 years.
Unfortunately, in 1932, we elected a smooth-talking, platitude-spewing socialist, who extended the recession into the the Great depression, which lasted almost two decades from it's 1929 start!
I just hope enough people have learned from their history. Gov't is not the answer...it is the problem.
