Sure industrializing hemp should be legal, but I don't buy the 'hemp is the ultimate answer to everything' premise that pro-hemp folks say.
If hemp is so awesome, surely some country out there would have tried it by now. And if it was so wonderful they'd be flourishing...thus, the power of hemp would be undeniable. But that isn't happening. Why?

The reason I get so mad at cannabis prohibition is because it is based off lies, even Alcohol prohibition had facts backing the lethality of the substance and the social distress is causes. The facts:
Ford's medal from Germany was for making the automobile affordable to everyday men and women. It had no political strings attached. The medal had nothing to do with supporting Hitler or Naziism. It was received in 1938. This was over a year before the Second World War began. Ford had helped make automobiles available to the masses worldwide. Germany, coming out of a depression, honored Ford for his pioneering work in making automobiles affordable to anyone. Is that so awful? Seems to me that Ford was just being an enterprising capitalist. (Oh noes!)
Also....
Ford's plants in Britain provided materiel for the British forces in North Africa during the Second World War. As you may be aware, Britain was Germany's (Hitler's) enemy in that war. I guess Ford's "Nazi sympathies" were not very strong, were they?
Ford was a well-known pacifist and organized peace protests and movements during the Great War (WW1). When it came time to fight (WW2), though, he somehow managed to get behind the Allies (see above).
(But it's okay to overlook minor details, when you have an exciting story to tell, right????)

Ford designed the car COMPLETELY. He knew the car would need fuel. He wasn't an idiot. He was a genius. Genius covers all the bases.
Hemp would be the renewable fuel source for his car. A farmer could make all of his own fuel (hemp based ethanol) and have plenty of excess to sell to others who owned fords.
The people in charge knew that this had to be stopped.
Too much wealth would be transferred to farmers. Too much power would leave the hands of the people in charge.
You turn hemp into an illegal narcotic that makes people kill themselves. (industrial hemp has very little THC.....read you need to smoke a bag or two and you get a headache) ....they used the fully controlled media and film industry (yes they have been controlled the whole time) and you make it illegal to grow.
But now, only half of the mission is complete. A farmer can still grow some kind of carbohydrate and distill it into his fuel.
Time to put a stop to that right? Rockefeller and others pulled prohibition out and rammed it through. You have to be kidding me?! 70% of the population drank regularly! Guess who owned the big booze companies? Guess who stayed in business long enough to wait for the repeal of prohibition?

Apparently, we don't need oil to make plastic. Primo bottled water is supposedly made from corn, not crude oil. They specifically market their bottled water this way saying it helps break our dependence on foreign oil buy buying plastics made from plants instead of plastics made from crude oil. Another benefit of primo bottled wat they claim is, their bottles do not leach Bisphenol-A into the water the way that most other plastic containers made from crude oil do. Pretty cool.

As I was stocking up on my emergency water i bought a couple of these at Albertsons. Well we had to break into it once as we needed water right away and no funky aftertaste. It is good, it's costs about 7.00 a refill but worth it!
