Nobel winner: Internet might have stopped Hitler
By KARL RITTER
STOCKHOLM, Sweden (AP) - The spread of information on the Internet has given the world a new tool to forestall conflicts, Nobel literature prize winner Jean-Marie Gustave Le Clezio said Sunday.
In his Nobel lecture to the Swedish Academy, the 68-year-old Frenchman said an earlier introduction of information technology could even have prevented World War II.
"Who knows, if the Internet had existed at the time, perhaps Hitler's criminal plot would not have succeeded - ridicule might have prevented it from ever seeing the light of day," he said.

We know that wasn't possible
We know that wasn't possible because Al Gore wasn't even born yet to invent the internet. Besides he would have been working on his Nobel prize work on global warming
Silly rabbit, tricks are for the grown ups.
It hasn't stopped Bush.
It hasn't stopped Bush.
Naaaa
Never underestimate the stupidity of the populace. The internet has not been able to stop the continuance of NWO machinations. It has not forced a new investigation into 9/11 nor did it insert knowledge into the election of Obama.
Sorry, Hitler's rise to power, as financed by NWO aparatchiks, would have continued as planned...internet or no.
**“The man who does not read good books has no advantage over the man who cannot read them.” ~ Mark Twain **
I think it already has
Wouldn't Iran have been invaded by now if we didn't know about the Iranian bourse, Israeli plans for the Middle East and the truth about their weapons capability?
Wasn't Bush and Co. thoroughly discredited by the spread of information?
Didn't real information from the Georgian conflict (like a 12 year old South Ossetian girl) get people to back off Russia?
Now a false flag has been identified in Kosovo staged by Germany
and another false flag was staged in India by Israel, U.S., NATO and India to blame Pakistan.
Would Congress and the administration have a single digit approval rating if we didn't have the information from the internet?
If we keep on getting this information to everybody we know they won't have a chance to get to World War 3. No matter how many times they pull false flag attacks we'll always know who starts them.

We are slowing them down..
I think that is a good thing, but it will take more then internet to stop the wide spread corruption that we are dealing with in "Today's World" By the way I can not stand when most reporters say "In today's world, don't you think that it is justified to do that?" for whatever a neo-con does.
I totally agree and have posted
this elsewhere when the Nobel prize winner expounded the effectiveness of the internet.
I BELIEVE we HAVE stopped many horrendous events around the world - truly!
We don't know what we don't know. They are trying to discourage us by flaunting irregular and illegal actions but it won't work.
We will NOT give up - we will keep spreading the information and keep the pressure on!
Not if he controled the internet...and he would have.
Just like what will be done here soon.... probably in the wake of the next false-flag.
I may not know the truth, but I know when I'm being lied to...
How come they don't say Communism?
Why don't these people say the Internet might have stopped Communism? Or Stalin? Because Communism killed about 3x the number of people that Hitler killed. 60 million in the USSR. 40 million in China. I just don't get the rose-colored glasses they have on for Communism. Sure it's proper to beat down on Hitler, but I think everyone gets that by now. How about they single out Communism once in a while?
The numbers for the soviets
Fortune Favors the Bold
are a little harder to pin down.
The thing about the Nazis, they were methodical, and kept detailed records. Mass killers don't usually do that.
I have seen a wild range in estimates in regard to the soviet union.
Internet is not stopping the criminals now!
They "criminal" people are using the Internet as well as everyone else. They have us running around chasing every damn conspiracy that they can make up and post somewhere on the net. While people like us are debating if it is real or not, they are stealing our wealth and our future right under our noses. I think if people would get off the Internet we might be able to stop what is going on right NOW.
How
Do you propose we find the criminals?
I can post something that anyone who has access to www can view. How is that not the most efficient way?
Yeah sounds good
But most people just respond to the post and never leave their house or basement or bunker.
This is not true -- look at China or even the USA today
We should all really be thankful for Hilter because he is the one who got the WORLD out of the Great Depression and made America # 1.
Of course that was all sort of part of the banker's plans -- along with the creation of Israel -- it really makes you wonder what they have planned this time.
Or
Hilter would of controlled the internet and recruited billions to join his evil army......
And his catchy internet slogan would've been..."Change"...
~Bad stephanoreillyluvsrp. Very bad.~
Wrong... The message of Love is more powerful than Hate.
A nation which has forgotten the quality of courage which in the past has been brought to public life is not as likely to insist upon or regard that quality in its chosen leaders today - and in fact we have forgotten.
John F. Kennedy
You don't
think the major internet media outlets skewed a message to promote a phony false image of Obama?
I'm not comparing or associating him to Hitler of course, but I'm just trying to give an example how a fallacy can be controlled and promoted using the internet.
Yes..
Right you are..
they will fix that - regulate the internet because of the terror
http://www.securityfocus.... -
"The commission also called for revamping current regulations to create more incentive for the operators of critical infrastructure to secure their systems. While the report concurred that the regulation of the Internet is a contentious issue, abandoning the development of defense to market forces has left the United States with scattershot protection. If the government adopts an approach similar to its Y2K initiatives — education and government leadership backed by regulations that force companies to disclose the steps taken to mitigate the problem — the policy could be much more effective, the report stated."
This is so clear, it stinks.
Every
programmer is thinking "F&^% that"
If the government did this the internet would turn to shit. People would create underground networks to compete. Great Idea Mr Government, regulate something that is becoming our greatest tool, and send us back to 1984.
great find
