SNOW for Dr. Paul
Submitted by ShineTheLight on Wed, 12/10/2008 - 22:14
It has been snowing for a couple of hours or so down in deep south Texas in Lake Jackson.
Ushering in the Christmas season. Very, very rare. Started around dark.

you might wanna get a bit curious about ocean currents...
this was mentioned on another site so i thought i would start doing some googling on the currents and see if there's any news on how they are holding up.
weird eh... how ocean currents regulate the temperature in the air.
that ocean current stat from ram was from 2007. it has been a brutal summer for the oceans this year. they had a crap load of ice melt their fresh water into it.
some parts of the world aren't gonna have a very comfortable winter.

chain of events review...
pollution causes global warming. global warming causes melting of the ice caps. melting of the ice caps causes increased salinity of the oceans. increased salinity of the oceans causes the ocean currents to slow. slowing ocean currents cause weather oddities...
what is pollution? anything that overtaxes the cleansing systems of the earth.
what are the earth's cleansing systems? forests. oceans. lava. wind. etc.

what's happened recently in the oceans??

CNN reports that Scientists have identified new rifts on an Antarctic ice shelf that could lead to it breaking away from the Antarctic Peninsula” according to the European Space Agency.
http://www.cnn.com/2008/WORLD/asiapcf/11/29/antarctic.ice.sh......
“Scientists say the western Antarctic peninsula -- the piece of the continent that stretches toward South America -- has warmed more than any other place on Earth over the past 50 years…”
Ed Note: Antarctica holds most of the world’s fresh water in the form of ice and snow. Some of it is two miles deep and it acts as a balance weight at that end of the planet. At the other end, Arctic ice is in retreat, and so is the Greenland ice cap. What happens when a planet gets out of balance? Does it wobble like a car with bad steering?
Have you fastened your seat belts?
Sleep well.

Good job
on the currents. Wish I had time to study this today.
Wow
Sometimes I forget that not everyone has snow. Up here in MN I get to drive my truck out onto the lake, start a fire, and fish. You haven't had walleye till you've had it through the ice!
Were you able to rake up enough
for a snowball?
No
Afraid not. On Christmas Day about four or five years ago at Christmas, there was a huge snow down here in South Texas all the way down to Corpus Christi, maybe further. Put a foot of snow on top of my car. Amazing. But this was a dusting. We'll see in the morning.
It's scary that you have had snow
before I have, way up in North Central Idaho!
You
might have a point there.
so much for global
so much for global warming!

I live in Dr. Paul's hometown of Lake Jackson
And it has been very cold here all day, in the 30's. We've had some light rain but no snow. It is now 10:10 p.m. Central Time and I don't see any snow. In fact it's raining right now but who knows with the temperatures going down, we just may get some snow flurries. I've heard that north of Houston they've had some snow but none here in Lake Jackson, Tx.
dodobogo
Yep there in Lake Jackson
snow after dark for almost two hours. Stuck a little bit. I am NW Houston and if we have had flakes, I missed it. Were you outside from about 6pm to 8pm cause that is when they had snow about two blocks from you. :)
do you live there, or are
do you live there, or are you just being creepy and getting the weather reports for Ron Paul's home?
I'm just being creepy!!
I talked to my granddaughter who lives there and called me excited out of her wits. Then daughter emailed and said the snow was getting heavy. Isn't that horrible to talk to my family. Creepy, creepy. Very conspiratorial. Very stalking. ooooooohhhh.
calm down, I didn't mean any
calm down, I didn't mean any offense by it... all you had to do was explain you have family there.
I'm being funny
If I got any calmer, I'd be asleep. Didn't you think I was funny???
oh, well I thought so at
oh, well I thought so at first, but then I was worried I might have insulted you.
The Bible
says, "Don't be insulted." I think that is a great admonition.
RonPaulisthe Answer,
Does your granddaughter live in Lake Jackson? Because if she saw snow that's news to me. I've been running in and out of the house all day and there was just light rain, but very chilly. I live right in Lake Jackson and did not see any snow.
dodobogo
Yes, D
you are quite familiar with them! Were you out between 6pm and 8pm??
R.P.is theAnswer
No, I wasn't outside but hubby came home about that time and it was light rain. You sure do have my curiosity going now as to whom your family is. I know just about everyone in Lake Jackson since I've lived here over 24 years. I've talked to other friends this morning and they live just a little out of my neighborhood and they also said they had light snow. Darn, I guess I missed it but being from Ohio I can't say that I miss it. I'm happy to see y'all getting excited about the snow though.

Silly girl
remember when you two stopped at a lemonade stand next door to my daughter's house when you went walking??? I know you know everyone, but it isn't because you have been there for 24 years, it is because of your dynamic personality. No wonder you can't figure out which one of your neighbors I am talking about. :)
Hi there,
I know who your daughter is now. The lemonade stand got my memory going. I was racking my brain trying to think of who it could be. You're right, they live about 2 blocks from me but I don't think it was snow. I guess I'm remembering the real snow from up in Ohio. I just know that alot of people were excited about the snow this morning. You take care now and don't be a stranger when you come into town. It's been too long since I've last seen you. Now I'll remember your user name on Dailypaul.
dodobogo
LMAO!
VoR, your post made me splort!
Yeah don't remind me. I am
Yeah don't remind me. I am on a barge in galveston harbour freezing my butt of. I have been on this barge for 9 weeks and all I have is a sweater. So enjoy your freedom folks because one day You might not be able to goto walmart and You will miss it like I am right now. Damn I should of packed more than a sweater.
Is that all you've left after the Hurrican?
.
Oh, my gosh
I feel so sorry for you. Put on layers.
jkm--Why do you live on a barge in Galveston Harbor?
Are you a squatter?
Are you a rough-neck?
Are you a tough guy?
Are you a lady marine biologist?
I've never understood why anyone would want to live on a boat.
For ye shall go out with joy, and be led forth with peace: the mountains and the hills shall break forth before you into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands.

Did you get snow
I missed it if I did. But I had to turn up the heat!!
Yeah, I'm in the Heights
close to downtown, and it is still sticking to the bushes and rooftops.

Cool
I think I probably did also because the neighbors were making a lot of noise outside in the cold way after dark. I think they were excited about something. But just glancing out, I haven't seen it.
