Flyers...Talk to your preacher...Show him/her the truth...show them how the gov. is acting like its Ceaser and what must be done. Pass out flyers...Leave a few put up on boards where ever you can

Take up a collection...Put up an add....100.00 top prize to the student who can do (no less) than a 5 minute film on why the Federal Reserve/IRS is against the Constitution

There is nothing illegal or unconstitutional with the income tax... except that it is simply misapplied- it does not apply to the vast majority of private-sector workers; sadly most people have never actually read Title 26 (Federal income tax law) and only listen to their friendly CPA or H and R Block specialist (of course they benefit greatly from the ignorance of the sheeple) or worse yet- simply read the 1040 instruction booklet thinking it is applicable to them...

With respect to the income tax revolt, one can go back and read the exploits of folks like Art Porth, Vivien Kellums, Marvin Cooley and even Peter Schiff's dad Irwin Schiff (there are a host of others who deserve mention for their efforts and sacrifice) in order to get an understanding of the growth of the movement and the responses that were brought about in various federal statutes and court rulings.

In some ways, the effects have been to cause the government (legislature, executive, courts) to institute ever more restrictive laws and regulations. Most of our fellow citizens, living their lives in voluntary ignorance of the causes and effects of the movement, see only more restrictive laws (always presented ostensibly as tools to shutdown various illegal operations such as drug traffic and, lately, terrorist activities) and, generally, have reacted with not too much more than a grumble here and there about something being generally "wrong" with government, but not able to piece together all of the underlying factors of cause and effect.

Around tax filing time every year, the IRS and their operatives in the MSM will start their voluntary compliance dragooning operations (PR/scare campaign) in order to use the reputation of the IRS to frighten as many citizens as possible into voluntarily compliance with government commandments; commandments which, if resisted by a relatively small percentage of citizens, would bring about the collapse of the entire system. Why everyone that believes the income tax is fraudulent put there bodies where their mouth heart is?

Organized mass surrenders in front of congressional offices when the congreesman/woman is present would force them to relaize how many working people the government would have to start supporting. add to that the lost revenue in the market place and maybe the light might come on.

If huge crowds of people all over the country offered themselves to go to jail for not paying their income tax, and demanded that their congressman files the charges, and do the paper work necessary to avoid an expensive trial and give them a go directly to jail card, then reality might set in.
1) How could they refuse?
2) If they refuse, then we have a right to demand they release all the patriots who were sent to prison because they knew they did not owe an income tax. (let the ones who thought they owed, but cheated stay in)

I know this is crazy, but what do you think? Got any other ideas. At least we would have three meals a day, wouldn't have to work, free digital TV, rent free room, nobody to visit you unless you approve, etc.

Just don't pay if don't want to. You don't have to make sure everybody else is doing like you. Most people have already paid their taxes anyway. My message is not, "don't not pay", it's "don't pay if you don't want to, but don't not do it becuase you didn't find a large enough club to join"

Plain and simple. The money is not "owed," it is extorted via "the barrel of a gun." Get people just THINKING this way and watch how things change.

Dont hold your breath. The media has suppressed so many damm court cases in the last years, that you have no clue about.

Do you actually think the federal government cares how it pays for what it spends? If they do not collect taxes, then they just have the banking system print up a checking account balance for them in return for government bonds. The only reason for collecting taxes is to maintain the illusion in the public mind that taxes fund spending, but the reality is that taking purchasing power from people via the back door of inflating the money supply works equally well for them.

So an income tax revolt is meaningless to the government. All it would do is maybe shift the burden of maintaining the government from those who work and can easily be plundered by withheld taxes to those who are most penalized by inflation of the money supply. Don't you think that anyone who could have successfully revolted quietly did so a long time ago and those who could not escape the system just did what they were forced to do.

Wait til more people start losing their jobs, their homes, their savings. Desperation has a way of clearing people's minds of the BS. People are asleep, but eventually they will wake up out of necessity.

I don't think the American public is ready for a tax revolt. Here is ridiculous MA, we had a chance to phase out the income tax through a vote during the general election. Went down in flames 70/30. In corrupt, incompetent MA the "citizens" voted to continue funding the corrupt and incompetent government. Unless, of course, the vote got flipped via software...But use fear and most people will fall for it most of the time.

We had a public go-around on just this issue several years ago. All goes to show the law is plain while conformists are always brain-dead.

My husbands employer refused to allow him to stop paying fed tax...(we owe property tax and he was going to stop paying the fed tax for 4 months at least to have the extra money to pay the property tax)
So..what do you do..when the employer refuses?

I completely, fully and totally agree with you on this!

Even more so after having stepped a bit 'outside' our little echo chamber and spoken to more 'mainstream' Republicans. Most of them simply don't get, and don't have the patience learn, about the indirect taxation implied by the policies of the Federal Reserve, but they all loathe getting fleeced income tax time.

Selling people who struggle to make ends meet, by showing them how their paystub could come with the net line equal to the gross line, while still allowing Clinton era levels of federal funding, is a lot easier than getting them to read and internalize Mises or Rothbard.

And I think it will become even easier now that we don't have one nominally on 'our' side in the white house. Unless Obama plans to, and gets away with, heavily deficit fund an entire 8 year term, sooner or later the tax issue will come up. And it will come up while the economy for most is still in tatters. So tax cuts ought to receive a warm reception from people from far outside Ron Paul's usual base of supporters.

As a corollary to this, I think we need to be a bit flexible; and not out of hand dismiss anyone not completely intellectually pure. If we can help eliminate, or severely curtail, the income tax; even if it requires allying with characters out of touch in some other areas, it will dramatically limit the funding available for future government ventures, and hence be a huge step in the direction of more limited government.

So, Go Tax Revolt! The sooner the better!

He seems to have influence with the press, in that outlets such as Fox and others are willing to interview him. It might help if he gets out there even more, similar to how Peter Schiff is constantly in the media warning people about what's to come. Celente doesn't seem to be advocating or promoting tax revolts, just predicting them. But, if he is seen in the media very often and referred to as an "expert" - his statements in the press/media that there will be tax revolts might lead to a number of people becoming more willing to seriously consider the ideas of doing so.

The way he *might* be able to help in this is simply through awareness. The way that WE can help him bring about more awareness is by helping to get the media even more interested in him. We might do that by emailing shows and suggesting that they interview him, for example. Another way might be by mentioning his name and quotes or ideas from him when posting comments to articles published in the media.

Just an idea that might help this cause...
