Mr. Change

I hope those fools who voted for "change" are happy with all those Clinton era retreads.

Good post!!

To all the negative people who would rather cover their ears than open their minds, you will hear this liberal trash Obama's cabinet picks. Agree with him or not, it's great to see this guy call out Obama for what he is. I hope he can influence more discontent among all of the koolaid drinkers to get them to wake up. The more people wake up and smell the coffee, the sooner we can bring people into the CFL fold.

The problem with Chomsky...

The problem with Chomsky, besides his wavering political positions, is his faddish appeal with college kids.

He is the living, breathing epitome of the Federal Department of Educations' ideal mentor to young people. Socialize 'em!

I laugh when I hear these 20-year-old 'anarchists' idolize this man, carrying around his books in their obligatory black backpacks covered in punk rock patches.
(Isn't it ironic that 'anarchists' would choose to wear a social uniform? Hmmm...)

Then I remember the old saying, "If you're not a communist by 25, I'll be disappointed, but if you're still a communist at 30, I'll be even more disappointed."

***Yes, I know Chomsky isn't a true anarchist. He is a 'Utopian Marxist'.

He's done some good work on

He's done some good work on anti-Imperialist writing but I certainly don't agree with his politics.. he endorsed that "participatory economics" which was really crazy.. sounded like communism in disguise.

He also said "even if 9/11 were an inside job - who cares?".. which is obviously a ridiculous line of logic - if it were an inside job, that changes everything from the wars overseas to the clamp down at home.. yeah, I don't like this guy anymore..

A thread on the daily paul from last year
Noam Chomsky on Ron Paul - http://www.dailypaul.com/...

"Evil for evil, a good despotism in a country at all advanced in civilization is more noxious than a bad one, for it is more relaxing and enervating to the thoughts, feelings, and energies of the people." - John Stuart Mill

that wasn't chomsky

.

Noam is a...

Full blown socialist. He opines that the world needs Big Government. Correction, the world needs Big Benevolent Government. So you see he preaches oxymorons. The world cannot achieve what Noam Chomsky wants. He has it in spades about our governments foreign policy but the way I feel about Noam is that you must throw the baby, (Noam) out with the bath water!
And yes I will concede that Mr. Chomsky IS brilliant.

"You cannot give the government the power to do good without also giving it the power to do bad, or anything it wants for that matter." Harry Brown

throw the baby out with the bath water

thats what we did for 8 years when we towed the party-line mantra and defended bush and cheney because he was a republican. maybe _you_ didn't. maybe _i_ didn't. but that's what _we_ ultimately did.

we attacked the left. we threw them out with the bathwater because they were left. ohhh, the evil left. here they come to get us with their leftiness. left left left. can't have any friends on the left.

can't even acknowledge them,

i see.

good strategy.

Say What?

Do you actually expect libertarian and liberty-loving Constitutionalists to find much common-ground with those favoring a totalitarian government?

Try obama.com

we have a "totalitarian" government now..

in all but name. We can find common ground with honest people we disagree with, if we can't we have no hope of changing anything.

What's Your Point?

Should we find common ground with Obama? How about Bush?

Meaningless catchphrases.

I said "honest" people

bush and Obama do not fit that description!

Neither Is Chomsky

Chomsky is one of the few...

honest intellectuals we have in this country. Could you tell me even one lie he has told?

if you can't find common-ground

with your neighbors, then you have already lost the war.

He's Not A Neighbor

And the war is far from over, sorry.

if we think

if we think we can produce good results by using the behaviors that we've already exhibited in the last 8 years, then we are really mixed up. It's not going to happen that way.

Let me repeat.

It's not going to happen that way.

what's with all

what's with all the chomsky bashing?

For real?

yeah, for real

read any of his books?

he's brilliant.

I recommend Year 501...

A book so distressing it should be sold with a cyanide tablet on the last page in case you want to kill yourself after reading it. The whole ugly truth of European "civilisations" attack on the rest of the planet.

Maybe we can get Chomsky...

Maybe we can get Chomsky... He would be good to have strategically in order to get more people aware of some parts of the message (such as the fact that Obama is just a corporatist whore). A lot of these people would then come over to our side completely. I ask you to remember how it happened for you.

My hat's off to you if you

My hat's off to you if you can get Chomsky to endorse a constitutionally limited government. Or any form of hands-off state for that matter.

That guy is so damned stubborn, so self righteous, and so deluded; he still hasn't gotten around to realize he was on the wrong side of the Cold War for all those years.

Even the admittedly pioneering linguistics work that gave him some intellectual authority in the first place, has come under doubt over the last decade or so. Not that he'd ever even consider the possibility that such criticisms could be valid; but then again, he's Chomsky the Great, self appointed ivory tower savior of the unwashed masses, who should all recognize just how much better their lives would be if they stopped having poorly reasoned, non progressive, ideas about how to live their lives, and unquestioningly accepted his guidance instead.

"Wrong side of the Cold War?"

he was on our side, ie the human race! I defy anyone to find even one sentence written by Chomsky that was pro soviet. The soviets hated him so much they banned his entire academic field of linguistics.

Who cares what this "Left Gatekeeper" windbag is spewing.

Reminds me of rhino...
Speaks much,says little.

He's well versed in the

He's well versed in the history of our failing foreign policy and the negative effects it causes.
Other than that I'm pretty sure he's a socialist.

Can we seriously stop

Can we seriously stop posting communist / socialist idiots on this site? I mean seriously. Communism and Socialism do not in any way shape or form comply with liberty.

He's an Anarchist

or libertarian socialist, if you can believe in such a thing.

oxymoron

Libertarian: A person who seeks liberty

Socialist: A person who seeks social equality through government force

i've always found Noam to be a really intelligent Cpt Obvious

now i haven't listened to everything he's ever said. nor i have i read any of his books, but the few things i have paid attention to didn't make me feel like i was missing anything.

And yet

...he still wanted people to vote for Obama. Hypocrite.

Perhaps he is now admitting

his fault. Seriously, the many "leftist" who are now dissapointed about Obama are the ones whose "hearts and minds" have to be converted. Ron Paul is very much aware of it. http://www.youtube.com/wa...

Fellowship of the White Rose

Exactly!

WTF is Chomsky whining about?! He urged people to vote Obama!
...not to mention dissing Ron Paul.

He's not really saying.....

.....anything.

I've never listened to anything from Chomsky before

But this speech is right on with what I know about Obama's cabinet.

The brilliant thing Ron Paul attempted to do with his endorsement of third party candidates was put together a list of common goals amongst them. No matter what their political ideology those candidates agreed to four fundamental goals of America.

If we are to continue to grow we need to share common goals with people who might not agree 100%. And always have an open door for converts.

Chomsky should fit right in

Chomsky should fit right in with the Socialist Agenda.

http://www.1776solution.b...

"So long as the people do not care to exercise their freedom, those who wish to tyrannize will do so; for tyrants are active and ardent...to put shackles upon sleeping men.
— Voltairine de Cleyre (1886-1912)

That would seem to fit with some of his past writings.

It's the Capitalists true aim...

of totalitarian fascism that he has a problem with. True socialism is a more idealogocal stance based on common good for all. Forget that it will never see the light of day.

Not defending...only defining. I have never been a fan of Chomsky but I must say, I am now, due to my awakening, finding myself agreeing with some of his posulations and definitions regarding the control structure defined by international finance and the Capitalist/Fascists...

**“The man who does not read good books has no advantage over the man who cannot read them.” ~ Mark Twain **

doublespeak alert!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Capitalism: The pursuit of wealth based on one's own essence, or merit

Fascism: The pursuit of wealth and power by forming a corporate body above the laws of common man, infiltrating the governing body and controlling laws, trade agreements to benefit the corporation, regardless of human rights

True capitalism is anti-fascism. Don't be fooled by the Marxist doctrine.

If you're mixing in

If you're mixing in capitalism with fascism then you should give your definition of capitalism. Because if your definition is "mercantalism" then it would be correct- but free-markets have nothing to do with fascism and is what can truly provide a higher standard of living. True socialism's stance on providing for all fails because it can only be practiced in reality through force- and leads to inefficiency and poverty.

If you listen to Chomsky's EARLIER interview...

on 911, he says, in so many words, "Even if it WERE an inside job, so what? That's the past." As if his people would EVER let us forget Hitler.

I think MOST Americans know the "official story" stinks; and, I think a lot of them would be VERY interested if it were proved agents of MOSSAD, not "radical Muslims" were the culprits.

"his people"??

he has been an unyielding critic of Israel for decades.

Yes, Good Point

. . . and an example of why Chomsky's simply a disinfo agent obfuscating and dismissing important criticisms (and critics) of the worldwide fascist/collectivist movement and its agents in government. The sooner this guy passes from the scene the better.

I've noticed with youtube, of late, so many videos cannot be commented upon nor rated!
Thanks for the post...

That doesn’t make any difference in the long run. :)

Secret key to happiness: Stay happy. Shhh!

Then again

I'm a dumb blonde from the east coast that just got in to politics a year ago and I could have told you that.

Never heard

him speak so or with so much opinion...? ummm concern...? he usually just kinda states past facts and results. Hmmmm.

Didn't he endorse the new king?

"Greater than the force of mighty armies is the power of an idea whose time has come"
- Victor Hugo

He knows the deal. If he doesn't speak up now, he will never

have the opportunity in the future. Chomsky's a smart guy who has had a large influence on the present course of events. He is also acutely aware that he and many others that have been used as tools in the rise of the Global Elite will be among the first to disappear. He is, after all, an avid student of history. The Communists called them "useful idiots".

You're right

He is definitely a tool alright. Have you heard the statement he made about global warming? He actually said if estimate were understated on the implications of global warming then he would support a fascist world government takeover. This is Mr. enlightened that has so many 'progressives' in the palm of his hand. It makes me sick.
