Gates:'Tens of Thousands' of Troops Likely to Remain in Iraq
charlierose.com — Bush Secretary of 'Defense' and Obama Secretary of 'Defense' designate, Robert Gates, recently interviewed on the Charlie Rose show said "several tens of thousands of troops" would likely remain in Iraq after 2011. Mr. Gates also said that Iraq is a 'sovereign country' and that the U.S. would completely withdraw from Iraq (after 2011) if Iraqis demanded it.

What a load of BS! They are demanding it now and have been for a long time, what will change in 2011? Nothing, we'll continue to occupy the country for as long as we see fit. The Iraqi people have no input, the American people have no input, and Congress has no input.

Where I cannot fathom what goes through these peoples heads. More young men and some women up upon the chopping block..........Wait...I know what they are thinking. The return on investment from continuing a war. Sure some cheap labor might be lost but who cares. We're rich!
