Dr. Ron Paul is the only statesman of our time.

i have seen some people refer the good doctor as a politician and i would like to share this from the a small book, pamphlet actually, that ron wrote a while back.

it has been my belief from the get go that the good doctor is NOT a politician. he IS a statesman.

Introduction
[U]nder the predominance of interventionist ideas, a political
career is open only to men who identify themselves with the
interests of a pressure group. . . . Service to the short-run interests
of a pressure group is not conducive to the development of those
qualities which make a great statesman. Statesmanship is invariably long-run policy; pressure groups do not bother about the
long-run.1

this little book gives really good info and an invaluable look into Ron's steadfast beliefs and how Ludvig von Mises and the school of austrian thought is the key and was the reason for Ron to first consider running for congress.
