Makes me sick too!!

Been wishing someone would complain. I think I have only once because I complained about the flipping money about 5 times before it disappeared, but this meat is ugh!!

But I LOVE opening the site with the Ron Paul picture at the top. That is one of my favorite pictures of him. He looks great.

We could all open it in new

We could all open it in new tabs a dozen or so times a day then close without running the video. The ad would get very expensive and they would probably remove it while putting some bucks in Michael's pocket.

Pat

BOHICA!!

Pat

I use firefox

but I see them, how do you block them? Is it an add on? and can I only block the disgusting ones?

Another one

Slightly trickier but cool is opendns.com. You use their dns servers to do lookups on the web and it blocks phishing, virus, ads, etc. You can choose categories to block. I actually use it for my company's web traffic. They have a small client that can run on your computer if you have an IP address that changes so they can apply your settings to your IP. If you set your router up it filters for everyone on the network. Message me if you need any details, but the site has good info.

Yep, they're add-ons...

I think the ones that must be blocking this ad (and who knows how many others) are AdBlock and/or NoScript. Highly recommended...

I miss the RP Tee Shirt Girl

She was easy on the eyes.

Maybe she should become the

Maybe she should become the RP Wet T-Shirt girl. I mean, maybe there's more about her that we should all know about. I think there is a lesson here somewhere.

She is still on mine.

She is still on mine.

You know if we bought

ads showing the mangled children from these wars and put them
next to the army recruiting ads maybe, it might get people talking.
It would also be a good idea to have an ad showing the fractional
reserve banking. How it is the biggest con ever, robbing the American
people of their rights and wealth. How much do those ads cost. I
would love to see the "F**k the FED" on all the web sites everywhere. LOL

Good point.

In fact a great idea!

I also like

the idea about the kids saying NOT MY DEBT.

Sure why not

but I think the people on here already know about the ugliness of war and the Fed Reserve.

How many people ever bother to think about what they're stuffing in their face every day? Perhaps he wanted you to look under different rocks, ones you didn't want to look under before.

Are you trying to say the

Are you trying to say the meat ad is a metaphor for self discovery?

Oh, it's okay then.

Wouldn't it be grand if the meat ad showed a big rock and when you moused over it the rock lifted and it was a picture of Mira pointing her finger at you?

terrific points

Agree...grossing me out.

Just this moment mentioned that same thing to my husband...he doesn't have the meat ad on his computer though. What's up with that?

The truth hurts

Sometimes it even makes you nauseous.

Whats the matter

Does it bring up things you don't want to think about? Good. It's doing its job. Politics aren't the only ugly thing in this world, you know.

P.S. Michael Nystrom 100% approved that ad to be on here, it's paid for, and it's his site.

And you speak for Michael

And you speak for Michael now? Please forward the memo as I didn't get a copy.

You got that right!!!!!!! THANKS

These people need to quit bitching and face the truth about *everything* that's ugly and needs changing. I don't see them reaching into their pockets and giving Michael the money he's receiving from this searing truth-in-yer-face ad.

lol. You said "searing"!! Do

lol. You said "searing"!!

Do you smell what the Daily Paul is cooking!!!

Ah yes St. Francis the patron Saint of Animals

and Gandhi, the ultimate non-hypocrite, who totally practiced what he preached. Great role model for me too (I only wish).

I must be lucky

I have no meat ad anywhere that I can find. Where is it?

!!!

A very funny bump!

Brent, I'm tired of your ignorant posts. When will you understand that censorship, appropriate content, and tailoring content for the readership are three very different things.

Stop thinking that personal preference is somehow a violation of the first amendment!

Thank you

I watched and was not slightly provoked to stop eating meat. It's like the dead baby shots for anti- abortionist. There is a better way. Humans have been eating meat since the beginning of recorded time. They of course have to be killed to be eaten. I'm glad someone else is doing the killing. Seeing it doesn't make me not want to eat meat.

Well good for you ladalang - that makes you

a genuine feeling, thinking, caring human being capable of compassion and thinking outside the box, now doesn't it?

Always been that way, therefore it's right. Let someone else do the dirty work for you.

Bravo. Good thinking.

thanks

I'm a carnivore and proud of it. I don't eat pets and in fact love animals but I'm from the wilderness where you eat them and wear them and only kill what you absolutely need. When the lion hunts down and kills the gazelle I'm not crying in my beer. It's the food chain of which I 'm a happy member of. I'm not a farm or an owner of farm animals, I've chosen a different career, I'll leave raising livestock to the professionals.

You change, I'm very happy the way I am.

Let's review

You make excuses for cops who shoot defenseless people in videos and you brag about loving something that's died so you can stuff your face with it. Okay, got it.

If you were truly a "carnivore" as you say, then nothing would stop you from eating your pet. Carnivores act on pure animal instinct and make no such distinction when they are ready to kill their own food -- which you are unable to do without the aid of knives, guns or other weapons.

you are seriously not right

That video showed nothing. It did not show a cop shooting a kid no matter how bad you wanted it to. If you think it did you are insane. All it showed was a bunch of people moving around and a blur and you heard a gun shot.

You stuff your face with what you want, I'll stuff my face with what I want. I don't care what you eat, you should not get involved in what I eat. I need to check the chicken, brb.

how about you stuff your face and don't come back

you're not making any friends on a couple of these topics. Bye bye.

I'm not trying to

I respect that you don't eat meat. Have some respect for people who don't share your view. You aren't making any friends here either. This isn't twelve grade. I give a rats ass if someone is going to hate me because I eat meat. hate on, utterly stupid and immature.

I bet you would taste really sour

if someone barbecued you.

again

please respect each other...this is a big tent we all have different opinions on many subjects.

Sorry legalize

out of over 250 comments on the original thread I posted about this topic couple days ago, no one 'got my goat' (to use a bad pun).

However this user just seems to be going on threads trying to instigate things while blaming the site for removing her topics. Sometimes a bad egg just gets to you.

she

can look at the order of the posts and see how this all started. Nice try

Point goes to Ladalang for being an individual.

Just saying. :)

the owner of this site made a comment

Antibiotics
On January 6th, 2009 Michael Nystrom says:
Don't forget the antibiotics. Cows stomachs' can't handle all the GMO corn they're fed, so they get terrible, debilitating infections which farmers combat with tremendous doses of antibiotics.

Not just a cure for infection anymore, antibiotics are routinely given to livestock to prevent disease in crowded pens and stockyards and to promote growth. The report says farms can buy these drugs without a prescription or veterinary permission, so it's no surprise that half of all the antibiotics worldwide are used in food production. The ubiquitous use of animal antibiotics saves consumers $5 to $10 a year on their meat and poultry bill, the National Academy of Sciences estimated in 1999. Even that relative pittance is a pseudo-saving, though, because the United States spends more than $4 billion a year to combat resistant infections, which kill 90,000 people a year in this country.

In economics, this is called an externality, and in this case it is a huge one.

I agree with this article.

I agree with this article. We need to stop over medicating our food supply. However the photo in said ad is purely for shock value.

Maybe anti-gold standard folks should post photos of a strip mine raping our lands. OR anti-cartel advocates could show how diamonds are really mined. I'm sure we all have heard about "blood diamonds".
