I'd love to find an alternative to youtube.

is probably obvious to most of you who are knowledgeable users of the net and YouTube) is it impossible to use another website to spread videos and information? What about Pyrabang, I though it was set up as an alternative.
Is the problem that YouTube got there first and has the traffic sewn up; or does no one else have the funds to build a comparable web site to handle the traffic?

Since Youtube is under a NAZI regime and they are censoring in accordance with the JDL. Where are we to go for free video uploads and viewing?
Can someone get a list of freedom of speech sites? Cause youtube is dead. Its bought and paid for by influences hell bent on shutting off the flow of truth in a sea of lies. The internet has a cancer. That cancer began with google. Now it has spread to youtube. Soon this great tool for freedom will die. wracking NAZI's.

Also this has another effect. I want to find out what these tools are banning. Inadvertently honing my interest into what they find threatening to their lies.

I called in January 5th, 2009 to talk about YouTube censorship; I call at 1:53:28 on the mp3 in the previous link, and again at 41:19 in the following mp3 link: January 6th, 2009

Here are the details of what I called about:
YouTube is blocking certain videos and YouTube Channels from users in the United States.
On Friday January 2nd, YouTube user downwardspiral http://www.youtube.com/do... posted a comment stating that a video called "Unconstitutional Agenda" was being blocked from the viewing of US YouTubers; I checked it out for myself, and sure enough, I got a message that read “This video is not available in your country."

Today, Sunday January 4th, I came across this comment on a YouTube video, “Death to America, Democracy, and Israel!

Join our struggle and support Socialism and Jihad!
Heil Obama! Heil Hamas, Hiebollah, and Iran! Heil the Aryan race!

-by some Nazi pile of puke named “sighiesiegfried88”.
I clicked on the link to this Nazi’s YouTube account, trying to get some background information on him before starting a flame war with him, only to discover a message that read, “This channel is not available in your country.”

Next, click on the link to sighiesiegfried88’s channel and you will discover it to be blocked.

So, I have come across two instances where YouTube is blocking content from US users, this weekend alone. I need to know if any of you have encountered this yet on YouTube, we need to start a list of videos and channels that are being blocked in the US.

I have tried your link and there is a pink band at the top of the page stating: this video is not available in your country. (My country is UK) Can someone please explain? And isn't it time we questioned all this. Am now going to try the link from last week again....

I get that a lot now.

I live outside the US and catch this problem all the time. Soon I won't be able to watch any video from the US.

I guess this is like a backdoor type black out. If your country won't ban you from watching then the US will do it for them!

If you're in the United States and youtube is censoring the video, I believe this would make for a very good news story. Especially if the censoring is due to the government.

Youtube has (and should have) the right to restrict their site in whatever manner they see fit. Freedom's not a one way street.

Youtube is censoring comments like mad. I had someone reply to a comment I put up ( I do so many, and I am sure it was good ) I forgot what I said, so I clicked and went back to the video, the guys response was there, but my comment was gone. This happens to me all the time. I have been paying attention at the censorship. Folks, we have been living in communism for a long time. Just not so much in your face. I expect they will come down on the dissenters soon. I think they are taking names. Its going to get bad.

My sig used to contain a link to a BBC comedy sketch on youtube. People outside Britain kept getting "not available in your country" when they clicked on it. Eventually I posted a Canadian link to the same video. It worked. Everyone could watch it.

Help us out here. What country are you in? Are you sure this is government censorship or is there some way for the poster of the video to decide what countries their videos are available in? Videos from ITV are only available in the UK for instance because the UK government is the copyright holder and that's how they want it. Is it possible that google goofed up and actually thinks you *are* in communist china? Can you find another video that is banned with the same message so we can take a look and figure what the trouble is?

Obviously, you can't be trusted with that sort of information.

Luckily, you have a benevolent government to intercede on your behalf and remove these potentially harmful things from view.

Google has only come up with this policy based on suggestions of politicians who created a fear climate. Without govt doing the pushing, Google never would have even thought of doing this.

They've scared the people to death so they cry out, please save me from videos that scare me! The boogeyman is going to get me! So how can the corporate fascist world that Google exists in, resist their pleas? The political climate is ripe for censorship when it comes to anything to do with "terrorism"... or otherwise known as political activism, protesting... here in the USA.

In Communist China, it would be the government that bans your video.

Here in Capitalist USA, it is Google that bans it.

How long until sites like the DP are banned? I doubt they'll be banned per se (this is America after all, the government isn't likely to ban it), but the costs will become prohibitively expensive. Maybe we'll see:

- A required license for having a website
- A surcharge for internet use
- A new regulation that holds me responsible for all the comments on the site, with personal liability for everything that is posted.

They won't outright ban it, they're smarter than that. They'll create the world they want in such a way that the majority of the people say, "Oh, that's a good idea / that's a good law / that is the right of private companies to have a separate, fast internet for corporations, and a slow internet for individual sites like the DP. That is the free market at work."
