Go ahead, nuke Iran. I suspect that Iran will retaliate on Israel. O.K. with me too. Let them all duke it out and we can stay out of it. This will probably be the war that Americans (voluntarily) refuse to participate in. Their differences mean nothing to me and shouldn't to any American.

Has anyone read the book "The Ezekiel Option" by Joel Rosenberg? It is a fantastic fiction book written about Israel and Iran/Russia going to war. It was written about 3 years ago or so, but seems to be taken right out of today's headlines. Go check it out. Great book and very thrilling and captivating.

Back sometime around February '08 Russia released a statement that any attack on Iran would be considered an attack on Russia.
Just something to consider....
That is true, but remember...
Any and all fallout from a strike on a nuclear reactor would fall over China. Is this why we have a super fleet surrounding Iran with fast access to Russia and China? Russia has scientists working on Iran's reactors, and this is why they stated that this type of an attack would be a declaration os was against them as well, but what would Chinas response be to nuclear fallout from such an event? Was the attack on Gaza simply to reaffirm the U.S.'s pledge to follow Israel to the end of the earth? Will Obama sever ties with Israel if they preempt a war with Iran? These are the questions that will be left unanswered as we follow israel into the abyss of war.

This could end up
being a dire situation, and not something to watch with interest. Anything Israel becomes involved with immeaditly drags the United States in. And in our current economic situation we cannot afford to possibly wage war.

There are currently approximately...
50,000 Chinese field workers with a smattering of Chinese government officials and "executive" types living and working in the Iranian oil fields. A joint venture was signed late last year between Tehran and Beijing to sell oil to China. If Israel launches an attack they will feel the wrath of China and perhaps Russia. This is getting good! I am looking forward to this stupidity to play out!

would be a given; therefore this scenario simply will not happen. Israel may continue slow suicide but instantaneous annihilation, no way. This double-standard is an outright display of fear, not love. I like Ahmadinejad's proposal of letting the peoples of Palestine and Israel decide how they wish to live together freely, respectfully in a common state.

I think that you are right about Russian retaliation
if a hundred Russian scientists were to be killed in an Israeli attack. They have not been very vocal on the issue, but quietly may have warned Israel of the consequences. I wish that they would take a firm open stand.
