I"ve always loved how he is so positive. He embraces the argument, acknowledges it, but the message always prevails. I loved what he said about freedom vs socalism; as Im attending college and have encountered students who are so very proudly socialists. I was beginning to feel hopeless. I am revived!

I couldn't listen to all of it. They are so irritating and stupid I just want to scream. That's why I can't take talk shows where people call in. No patience. Poor Ron had to deal with all those dummies.

I've watched Ron on a lot of shows and I swear to God whenever they take calls on this show they get the stupidest, craziest people who don't know how a call-in show works! Are they looking for them to be like that?

hopefully Ron Paul has answered their question, and they will start thinking for themselves. It only took one speech from this man to realize he was right, and then I went looking for myself. If enough of these folks will do research, and not be lazy, who knows, maybe they will understand what has really been going on in Washington the past few decades if not more.

That appeared to be a setup to me. Everytime a new caller was about to come on that woman sneered like a snake in what looked like an anxious anticipation of the next super imbecille they chose to let through on the phone lines.
If those are average Americans, this country is doomed, there is no hope, and I hope the coming depression is hard, deep, and completely devastating to them. Sometimes the reckoning requires that the warning notice be securely stapled directly onto the forehead so that the eyes may eventually see it. Although even then, the brain likely will still not comprehend it.

I listen to washinton journal daily, today some smart people
called in. During the build-up to Iraq, tons and tons of people called to "remind" those who didn't remember how saddam used his weapons of mass destruction on them trade centers.
The last time I called-in, they didn't screen the calls at all.

In public Q&A sessions, as with online discussion forums, it's not the questioner you're trying to convince. It's the many people watching.
So you need somebody to raise the opposition's positions for you to demolish.
As long as there's more than one unconvinced person watching it's better if the questioners AREN'T convinced. Convince one and he stops questioning. Then you have to go find another one.
Back in the netnews days essentially every newsgroup on a controversial topic had one or more of such refractory idiots. And we used to say that "If {idiot in question} didn't exist we'd have to invent him.", i.e. somebody would have to play the part. But it works much better if you have somebody who really believes the junk.
Fortunately, there's no shortage of them. Until EVERYBODY "gets it" (which will never happen given the nonzero population of mental defectives) the people who truly believe the bogus ideas will keep showing up on their own. B-)

There was one individual who didn't even know that Ron Paul was a congressman who we know has voted against the bailouts. Dr.Paul the numero uno candidate against all bailouts and this individual was clueless.
