Good thread. Good thread.

25-yo autodidact male, native AZ, career student, server administrator (profession), individualist.

Libertarian since 2002, so the issues aren't completely new to me. But I had never known of a politician that actually believed them. I still have my bumper-sticker from the campaign. As everything he's been saying continues to actually happen, I want everyone who drives behind me to realize who they should have voted for.

that has longed for someone to come to the fore front and unlock the truths of FREEDOM. What a remarkable reformation that is taking place in our great country. We must keep educating ourselves to uphold the Constitution of the United States and expose the puppet masters for their destructive ways. They seem to think we are a small voice, I beg to differ.
They have created a system that has robbed a good portion of our citizens
ability to be self dependent. This evil system has crept into our local government as well.
My challenge to all of this liberty blog is to inform as many of your friends and family as you can (5) per Ron Paul supporter and we can be heard for the next election and who knows maybe get this country back on its track. The entitlement bubble is next to burst, State and local welfare programs as well, overly compensated state and local employees are going down next.
The free market system will always run it's coarse, Government is getting way to big and with freedom lovers abound will be the first to hear the air leaking out of the balloon.... I think I hear it hissing now from California and I live in Wisconsin.

I'm a 30 yr Independant, I'm

I'm a 30 yr Independant, I'm married with a 2 yr old and I've always been independant, in fact the first presidential election that I've ever voted in I voted for Ross Perot. I've heard Dr. Paul on the Alex Jones shows for the last few years and once I heard he was running for president then I knew I had to back him. Little did I know that it was going to turn into the revolution that it has become...

I am encouraged by all these responses...

a 24 year old male, soon to be college graduate, living in Asheville, N.C. I am one who is utterly disgusted with the general acquiescence to federal control of so many aspects of our lives, am a fervent believer in small government, and an eternal skeptic of governmental control.
Ron Paul is the only politician I have witness who:
1) is honest and principled
2) adheres to the constitution
3) genuinely desires to cut taxes
4) DOESN'T WANT POWER

If we elect Giuliani or Clinton, God save America. Or perhaps we wont deserve it.

Hey NC...

...I recently moved out here from Atlanta. I thought maybe I was the only Ron Paul guy in the state.

25, Willing to give the GOP one more chance...

I cringe at the thought that I voted for Bush twice....I was ready to never vote republican again, but found Dr. Paul at the right moment in my life. My wife is Democrat to my Republican. Her mom is Democrat to her dad's Republican. I almost have them all convinced to vote for Paul, freedom truly does unite.

Left-leaning Libertarian Mom

I'm a 40-year-old, recent MBA grad and working on my PhD. My entire adult life I have been apathetic about political choices in this country. I've only voted Democrat in the past, more out of alignment with social issues but not passionate about any one candidate--more like which is the lesser evil...

I'm so encouraged by Dr. Paul's small-government ideals and the fact that he respects liberty and diversity. Even more inspiring is seeing our fellow countrymen (and women!) intelligently discussing his views. Makes me proud to be an American.

Advocate for the Return of Common Sense

I’m a 35 yr old married mother of 2 with a BA in Public Relations who works as an analyst for a telecommunications company based in Louisiana. I first registered as a democrat, but switched to the Republican Party upon entering the workforce and seeing the big difference between the amounts in the gross and net columns of the check stub. I would be fine if so much of the tax money didn’t go to enable freeloaders to continue riding on the backs of those of us who bust our chops each day and practice self discipline in order to live comfortably. I too was plagued with apathy until I read up on Dr. Paul and his plans for our future. He is the last hope we have of restoring the most important asset our nation seems to have lost….the faith the American people once had in our own country.

Just a Small Town Girl

Just a small town girl ( paullite ) who was a product of one welfare system, thrown into the working system. ( both offer no escape ) No kids. Married. Work in retail. Business is slow, no matter what they say. I have been looking for a truthful politician my whole life. When I first heard about RP it was online. I instantly knew this guy was diffrent than the status quo. I became for the first time in my life, active in politics. Its sad to say but it took RP to open my eyes to what IS really going on in this country. I want my country back. I will have nothing short of it. No longer am I going to buy what lies they are selling. I am opening my own store of truth. I say we get busy getting really and truly FREE. LONG LIVE THE REVOLUTION.

35 and PISSED OFF

I am sick of MSM and the idiots that have ZERO social responsibility by following these un-American politicians and their minons.

35 yo, married no kids, ( I REfuse to bring a child into this f*&^%ed up world.) I/T professional, educated and ready to fight. My wife is on board, people are awakening more every day. Keep exposing the scum that are ruining our once great nation... the good guys always win in the end. We will previal. My greatest fear is the election of anyone besides Mr. Paul, this wouldn't mean the "end" however it would assure a full blown revolution like nothing we've seen before.

..as a biologist...

...and a supporter of the concept of natural selection, i encourage you to reconsider having a child. if you don't, look who you're leaving it up to ;-)

I am 39 years old

I am a specialist in the science of hearing and own a nation wide marketing company for the hearing inustry, i was also an administrator for the democratic party for 6 years who has since left his party and registered republican only because of Dr. Paul and his stand of civil liberty.

Our country has gone way down the wrong path while our civil liberties are being stripped from us all in part of so called protection and national defense.

Ben Franklin said this best
Those who would sacrifice an ounce of liberty for security deserves neither security or liberty.

Thomas Jefferson said this best
When the people fear the goverment there is Tyranny
When the goverment fears the people there is LIBERTY!

I am also against the invasion of Iraq and want our troops home

The war on terror is a joke for if we were so concerned about terrorists the first thing we would do is secure our borders.

Time for real change and Dr. Paul is the only answer i see.

Dr. Steve Parent

I am an American;

my ancestors are from Greece, Ireland and Holland. I am a 39 year old female, married for 17 years to the same great guy. I have a son age 15 and a daughter age 14. I am what people would call a born again Christian; Jesus Christ is my personal Lord and Savior. I go to church at least twice a week. I did home school my children but now they go to a small private Christian school. My children are in a church every day except Sat. and twice on Wed. Fri. and Sun. We live and have always lived on Long Island in the beautiful state of New York. We also have a home in upstate New York in the Catskills. We own a construction company and our work is mostly in NYC. I have a degree in graphic design and graduated with honors. I have family in the military, Army and retired Navy. I love our military, you are the best. I was a registered republican who turned independent and then went back for Ron Paul. I voted for Ross Perot and then Bush these last two times [I thought the lesser of two evils the second time around]. Bill Clinton’s voice is like nails on a chalkboard to me. Hillary scares me. She and Rudy should both be on the first rocket to Mars. I have never been this involved in politics and have never donated before. I stamp all of my cash and mail with the Ron Paul stamp and my kids think I’m going nuts. I am pro life of course. I am a Yankee fan. I am a health nut and I eat organic. I don’t care for the average doctor and how they push for the drug companies. I recycle everything and try to conserve energy as much as possible but I must confess, we have three gas guzzling vehicles, 2 diesel pickups and a large SUV, sorry to the environmentalists but I won’t drive in anything small, there are crazy people on the roads here in New York. I don’t fly and use airline jet fuel so I feel justified in a way. :-]

I have a myspace: http://www.myspace.com/_l...

I heart Ron Paul supporters.
I love that there are so many Christian supporters and can't understand why the rest of the Christian community is in the dark.

I'm a 24-year-old Oregonian

I'm a 24-year-old Oregonian living and working in Japan, where my income is untaxed by the American government (though of course the IRS needs to know all the details). I'm loving life here and lately thinking the only thing that might entice me back to the US is if Ron Paul were president.

I'd like to donate on the 16th, but have already donated $200 and am wondering about having to tell them my employer. I am a US citizen but employed by a branch of the Japanese government. Will that be a problem? Where does that information go and what's its relevance? Should I donate to United for Liberty instead?

Please to contribute to the tea party

I you're a U.S. citizen I don't see any reason why you can't contribute up to the maxium of $2300. I don't think it's any big deal that you have a Japanese employer, and I doubt that anyone else will make an issue out of it.

devout catholic whol considers the individual conscience sacred. I see globalism as an assault on everything I hold dear. I consider liberty to be sacred, for each individual must be allowed to live his one life the way be believes, so long as he doesn't interfere in another persons right to do the same.

Every issue at stake, I believe, is just an extension of a couple main philosophies, being elitism verus individualism. Every other candidate in both parties represent a form of elitism. Ron Paul is the first major candidate to represent individualism/liberty.

So, I am driven to work hard for Dr. Paul because he sincerely advocates a verry humane and sane ideology.

Voted for RP in '88

Physics teacher here in NH and proud to be doing some work for RP. I classify myself politcally as a liberal/libertarian. I think he will do well here BUT there is a lot of on the ground workto be done.

I am a 31 yr old engineer

I have been a Libertarian since 1995 and am thrilled to have a candidate that I actually WANT to vote for instead of a lesser of 2 evils choice.

He's got New Hampshire locked by my calculations.

Who am I?

I am a 43 yr/old male, married 18+ years (one wife). Voice Over IP (VoIP) architect (high-tech) with a 64 acre farm in KY with Amish neighbors (low tech). Self educated in high-tech fields, but studied Political Science and International Relations at Brigham Young University (BYU) in the 80’s. Have been apathetic for a LONG time until this year. We home school. I am a Christian – member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Mormon) and I do NOT like Mitt Romney’s stand on things – they do not follow Christian/Mormon beliefs.

I believe in the Constitution, checks and balances, distribution of power. We need a Federal Government but it needs to be small. If you want big government have it locally where you can control them and hold them accountable for $$$.

I was in the Army (SF) as well as ROTC during 80’s and 90’s.

Moved many times and lived in many places, including Canada and the UK, NY, NJ, Boston, Kansas, Utah, CA, Connecticut, FL, TX and now KY

There are many people who support RP that have deferring opinions on the small issues like abortion, gay rights, health care, religion, money bomb timing, etc. BUT I am pleased to call these people my friends and fellow supporters of Liberty. Liberty IS the BIG issue this year. The other things are just “ignore the real problems” issues to distract us from the fact that our Liberty and prosperity are being lost.

Ron Paul is the messenger and I support him, but more important I a glad to see so many other supporters of Liberty rallied around our current leader of the movement.

hellooo

i was msc attached to sf units during the 80s/90s and also have lived in KS, TX, and FL. i've got my piece of paradise in north florida now.

I was kicking this around on the weekend when I saw that one of the posters here actually bought the domain "paultards.com" ... what about setting up a website (maybe not with THAT name ;-) where these sorts of GREAT comments can be put out for the world to see? Let the average Joe (that still listens to the creatons like Glen Beck) see in b/w who the RP supporters "are" ....

Avid Ron Paul Supporter

M. Raborn 66 y.o. white female. Married 42 years, mother of two children. Joined USAF in 1963 where I later met and married my husband, a career officer and fighter pilot. Voted for Goldwater in 1964. Heard Dr. Paul on talk radio in San Antonio in 1984. Changed my understanding of history, politics, economics, etc. Supported Dr. Paul for President in 1988. Voted mostly Constitution or Liberterian Party since. Now I am an avid Ron Paul supporter for President in 2008!

I am 74, 2 years older than Ron. ;-)

Moved from PA to HI 2 years ago, and live in an energy-efficient house we built ourselves. I'm an animal lover ( especially cats) and a Taoist. Been a registered Democrat all my adult years but always voted for the lesser evil, or tried to. After the Democratic Congress failed to do its duty to impeach Bush & Cheny, failed to stop the war, failed to stop Bush's grab for dictatorial powers-- I felt hopeless, betrayed, and powerless to do anything about it.

And then along came Ron, a man of honor and integrity, a man who isn't afraid to tell the truth, who says what he really thinks and is always consistant in word and deed. The only point on which I differ with him is abortion. I believe his position on that is inconsistant with his principal of "self-ownership". But since he is a baby doctor, I understand where he is coming from, and I forgive him for that. A Ron Paul presidency would be our best and last hope, imho, to restore our stolen rights and America's honor. Miracles happen. So let it be written, so let it be done.

What a terrific post! "A Ron Paul presidency would be our best and last hope." Absolutely. He will make us proud to be Americans again. He will restore our dignity. Thanks, this miracle will happen, because of people like you.
